Also not the WGWG's all trying to have their own moment by singing originals but little did they know they are ALL doing one LOL

 

Casey on Paradise and Ironic should be unique and Im excited to see how she makes them her own. When We Were Young is an amazing song for Grace and will hopefully be great. Also, I wonder if Willie will sing Yellow as written or try to make it a piano power ballad moment?? I hope he keeps it as it is because it would be interesting to see how he handles it (since it would be his most uptempo song so far).

Willie's set is going to be EATEN up by the audience. 

 

Also THANKS THE DIVINES, that "Fix You" isn't going to be sung, more underrated songs from Coldplay being used.

The River is on Spotify and its really quite good but I feel like doing original songs doesn't always go over well with the voting population.

Also interesting that knowing that one of themes is Contestant Single for top 5 they are essentially choosing to do originals two weeks in a row.

She is one of my favorites, but Casey has the worse set by far. What was she thinking, especially since a lot of the others decided to pick strong choices this week. YIKES. Not really the week to be off imo. It's funny because the set that I had in mind for her got taken by two other contestants. Early this week, I was thinking Violet Hill and You're So Beautiful. Alas...

 

When We Were Young is exactly what Grace needs. It doesn't have too many high notes so we don't have to worry about her completely missing one or two of them...its subtle and then builds to the high note at the end. She should do well with it. 

 

I'm bored with Willie and Arthur (but that's nothing new) at this point...

 

The rest are more or less what you'd expect.

TBH i do not know if they have as much input for the coldplay song they can sing. I would think they get maybe a few to pick from. As far as there mothers day songs the 3 WGWG types all are doing a a song of there own which to me is worse then Casey doing Ironic.

 

Yes she could have picked maybe a different song but Jax once told me they have there songs picked weeks ahead of time. Even a few others have said that in the past that they have there songs picked weeks ahead of time like Jena Irene said the same thing all songs picked up till the final.

 

Sometimes they get songs they have no choice but to sing but if casey goes last which means she will not sing in the 1st 45 minutes half of her votes or more will already be in.

 

With voting starting right as the show starts most people will get there votes or a large chunk before they sing.

Contestants pick their songs weeks in advance but as the competition progresses, they can take songs from Contestants that were eliminated (Like Grace taking Into The Unknown from Madison/Alanis) or make last minute changes if need be (Like Chayce said last week).

True but i think with voting starting right away when the show starts and ending with 5 minutes left i think there performance are not as much a factor as there fan base. If voting is close then i think it might make a difference but again lets say Casey goes last and that means half of the voting time will have happened before she even sings. If she sings her coldplay song 1st her Mothers day song may mean less. I really can't see them making both girls sing early and Grace went last last week so we shall see. I think it is more fanbase but we shall see.
