Moody, bad hair, boring. Just mopes around all the time. I hated watching him. He doesn't exist in the comics and he barely does anything in the show. The most interesting thing about him is Carol lol. Daryl should have been killed by Negan instead of Abraham and Glenn. I stand by that forever. Daryl is one-note and lame and isn't one of the Top 10 characters of this series. 9. Is she still on the show? I hope not, Danai Gurira deserves better. DEREK Quote I feel like no one has ever figured out what to do with Michonne, either in the comics or in the show. Thank goodness Danai is a goddess because Michonne could be boring if you're not careful and if you don't give the character anything to do. I thought the romance between Michonne and Rick was actually a decent choice, but then they ruined it by getting rid of Carl and Andrew Lincoln leaving the show. I feel as if he had a great storyline early on in the story but I just feel as he’s a lost cause with a dog now. I don’t think he really brings much to the show and they try to make him relevant by throwing him in random scenes. Mischonne is someone else I had high hopes for but also gets lost in the mix. It would’ve been good to see the Rick/Michonne/Carl/Judith relationships be explored further. Even Michonne and Andrea’s relationship which was short lived. The fact we didn’t get to see the more of her pet walkers and the fact they were her boyfriend and his best friend was abysmal. I can’t believe Andrea is this high. The whole dumpster fake-out was stupid. Also I think killing Glenn in the same way as the comics was such such such as bad decision, leaving so many missed opportunities. The Negan kill season finale cliffhanger followed by a lame season opener is one of the most ridiculously stupid things any TV series has ever done in the history of TV. I'll die mad about it. Worse than Game of Thrones Season 8. Anyway, I think they should have done everything they could to keep Steven Yeun on this show, and there was much more they could have done with the character. Being different from the comics has never been a problem before, what with Carol being so different and Daryl not even existing in the comic. Ugh frustrating. ALEX Quote I was never a HUGE Glenn stan, but I never disliked him. I started to get bored of him later in the show, but I was getting bored with mostly everyone. I stopped watching very shortly after he died, so maybe I subconsciously liked him more than I even realized ANNE Quote One of the most iconic deaths in the series. 7. SHANE WALSH 5.6 ANNE: 1 VICTORIA: 5 ALEX: 6 DIANA: 6 DEREK: 7 PRISCILLA: 9 ANNE Quote King was ahead of his time. Everything he did would have been excused and ok in later seasons. He was just ahead of the curve. ALEX Quote Shane was around only during the peak of the show so I guess I like him more than I should. He was a good villain and had a strong story arc. I agree with whoever said The Governor is the best villain and I would've rather had him here in the endgame, but I still enjoyed Shane. DEREK Quote Walking Dead has 10 seasons so far. Shane died in Season 2. So he's definitely not a main character. But his presence in the early seasons and prominence in the early plots has solidified him as a character that we always remember. The hero to scorned lover to absolute villain arc and then death was one of the few storylines that developed and ended well. He just got sh*t done! I like Glenn for a couple of reasons. He started off as a nerdy youngster and I enjoyed watching him grow throughout the time he was alive. I also enjoyed his relationship with Maggie, even if she had the bigger balls in the relationship. I started out loving Glenn, but with the whole death takeout and then people stopped watching after her actually died turned me off because he died in the comics so it wasn’t a shock or anything. In the grand scheme of the show she is not a main character by any means but I think she definitely had a good arc. Development. Ended much differently than where she began. Although her death was another one that was SUCH A WASTE!!! They built up her character and an entire new area with other new characters and then killed her immediately and never mentioned the other people again. UGH I was so mad. But less mad than other deaths BUT STILL MAD. ANNE Quote Had potential to do so much more. Having her disappear just to kill her off a few episodes later was ridiculous. 5. The young, naive girl who grew in to a badass because she grew up through it. The dedicated episodes in the hospital really showed us how much she had grown and changed as a character. The writing did her DIRTY in that third season. Still one of my faves from the first two seasons. ANNE Quote Had so much potential. Because she was so overhated, I had to be extra nice to her here. DEREK Quote In the comic she lives MUCH longer, is MUCH more formidable, and has a relationship with Rick up until she dies after surviving the entire Negan saga. In the show, they had no idea what to do with her. The wrote her to make the dumbest decisions and care about the dumbest things. Really a shame because I think Laurie could have done so much more if given the chance. 3. CARL GRIMES 4.6 VICTORIA: 1 PRISCILLA: 2 DEREK: 3 ANNE: 4 DIANA: 8 ALEX: 10 DEREK Quote If you asked me my opinion of Carl in Season 1, 2 and maybe even 3 he would be dead last on my list. SOOOOOO annoying. One of the most annoying characters ever. I hate kids on TV shows and Carl was so dumb. But as he and Chandler Riggs got older, the character became more interesting and Chandler became so much better at acting and better to watch. Right when things were getting great, they basically wrote him out of the show for no reason. Screwing over both Chandler who had just moved to Georgia to work on the show, but also the character Carl. In the comics Carl is arguably the main character of the entire thing. Such an interesting character. Killing him in the show was such a cop out waste waste wasted opportunity and a slap in the face to fans everywhere and I stopped watching immediately forever. ANNE Quote Even by TWD standards, this was a very unnecessary death. ALEX Quote I hate kids on tv shows for the most part and Carl is no exception. Lizzie Samuels you are not!!!! I quit before he died, but lol @ randomly killing Carl off. They really were just throwing things at the wall and looking to see what sticks.
