  1. Dana Monqiue/Corey Ward (it's a tie, but I voted for Dana since she got the standing O from all four while Corey only got three)
  2. Pia Renee (gorgeous lows and solid highs + she nailed every run)
  3. Ryleigh Modig (a pleasant surprise + a well-deserved steal)
  4. Victor Solomon (good, but not great)
  5. Gean Garcia (more interesting tonally, but Victor's vocal was overall a touch stronger so I can see how he lost)
  6. Pete Mroz (that song choice was not it, but Pete did well with it considering it's nowhere near his lane)
  7. Jordan Matthew Young (nice tone, good grit, just not my thing)
  8. Andrew Marshall (a good song choice for him and he was clearly connected emotionally, but he hit a funky note in the transtion to the higher part of the song + the opening wasn't that strong)
  9. Ethan Lively (had he gotten to utilize his lower register more, I think I'd have switched him and Jordan grading-wise)
  10. Keegan Ferrell (the editors did him dirty by showing him after Dana, tbh)
  11. Ciana Pelekai (a bit messy overall but not nearly the train wreck it could have been + she hit that one high note towards the end with relative ease)

Most deserved steal: Gean and Ethan are the two who went home that I would have stolen, but I preferred Gean over Ethan tonight so I voted for him.

WHAT A NIGHT. I've listened to the top 3 several times to order them and I can't...

1. Corey Ward (9.5) - DAMN.

1. Dana Monique (9.5) - DAMN.

1. Pia Renee (9.5) - DAMN.

4. Pete Mroz (9) - They tried to bus him and he still did fantastic!

5. Ryleigh Modig (9) - The first 15-20 seconds weren't that great for me, but once the song began to pick up everything was marvelous. She's been getting consistently better each performance and that's great.

6. Andrew Marshall (8.5) - I said it in the episode thread but this man has given us 3 great vocal performances and it's a shame that he isn't getting the hype he deserves. A very solid job from him! I won't be mad if he nabs a spot on Nick's team (with Dana) for the top 9

7. Gean Garcia (8.5) - Dang. The only disappointment of the night for me was Gean's elimination. He did a solid job on this snoozer of a track and although it wasn't perfect, everything about the performance was more enjoyable than his opponent's performance.

8. Jordan Matthew Young (8) - A pretty solid performance, but too safe of a choice. Didn't really move him anywhere in my book.

9. Keegan Ferrell (8) - Damn. A shame he went up against Dana. I enjoyed him even though it seemed like a weird choice for him. Not a perfect vocal but it was super pleasant to listen to.

10. Victor Solomon (7.5) - This was fine. But karaoke for a KO? Absolutely not. The only true letdown performance of the night for me.

11. Ciana Pelekai (7) - There are other Lizzo songs that can provide solid vocal performances @The Voice/Idol/AGT/everyothersingingshow. Give someone Jerome already. This was Ciana's best performance for sure, but too big of a pick for her. It worked out well for Tamara, but not Ciana. They really screwed her over with song choice 3 times. Damn.

12. Ethan Lively (7) - A good tone, but very underdeveloped. Loving all the rage from Facebook right now though! I do wish him well in the future, because he's got major potential.

Voted Corey (by eenie meenie miney mo) and Gean

I preferred Jordan to both, and Keegan stayed about the same level for me whereas Victor really let me down so. Not to mention I'm sick of "My Girl" so that had something to do with it, too, I guess. 😅

What a great night. With the exception of Victor, who wasn´t bad at all, but didn´t really bring it, now that I rewatched them all on YT, I thought all of the winners were deserving of their victories. Everyone above 7 did a fine job.

1. Corey Ward (9.5)- Phenomenal vocal. Radiated emotion and sincerity. Loved his rasp as well.

1. Pia Renee (9.5) - Had to be a tie. What a gorgeous vocal too, loved her lower register too.

2. Pete Mroz (9) - What a great surprise. This was a questionable song choice that clearly was  chosen to bus him, but he did fantastic despite a few tempo issues at the beginning (That first part is tricky). He soared in the chorus and brought it home. Loved his low notes too.

3. Dana Monique (9) - Knocked it out of the park, with great energy. I think the last note was a bit strained, but overall she pulled it off. I would have liked a bit more subtlety, but no way around it, phenomenal vocalist. Only putting her below Pete based on personal preference.

4. Andrew Marshall (8.5) - Great vocal, showcased a more vulnerable side of him too. Despite a slightly rough start, he found his footing quickly and delivered very well.

5. Gean Garcia (8.25) - Some slightly rough moments, but that tone is everything, so crisp and pungeant. Loved seeing him back with the guitar as well. I would have picked him, and he was definitely worth a steal.

6. Ryleigh Modig (8)- Started a bit slow, then some tempo moments in the middle, but overall very good vocal, especially her falsetto. Although I think the triple steal was too much, I do think she deserved to advance.

7. Jordan Matthew Young (7.75) - I was missing some of the grit and the emotion, especially considering his connection to the song, but overall very solid from him. I love his tone as well, and he could nail some root rock tracks.

8. Victor Solomon (7.5) - Enjoyable performance, but that was it. You had to bring it man, it´s the KOs. He´s losing steam.

9. Ethan Lively (6.5) - Love his tone, but this was quite rough in some spots. Sucks because he was one of the best overall performers in the battles. Wish him the best though.

10. Ciana Pelekai (6) - Liked the beginning and the stage presence, but it went south so quickly. She struggled big time with breath control and the performance was not it, especially going against someone like Pia. Wish her the best too.

11. Keegan Ferrell (5.5) - I´m sorry man, but this was rough. Considering his opponent, and although I know they don´t pick their songs often, he should have brought more oomph, and overall it ended up being pitchy and a bore. Wish him the best too, he´s very musical, so he should have success in that area.

I was going to rank them, but this is too stressful lmao, I'll put my top three though:

1. Pia Renee - best performance in this whole competition so far

2. Corey Ward - so intensely emotional but also powerful

3. Dana Monique - an undeniable showcase of pure power

WOW

1. Pia Renee - This was perfect in every single way. Powerful, emotional, and authentic. Her phrasing here was extraordinary.

2. Corey Ward - Sometimes you can hear the underdeveloped technique coming through, but this performance was so raw and powerful that it didn't matter.

Great

3. Ryleigh Modig - She started a little bit off but I LOVED everything after that. Her head voice vibrato is everything.

4. Pete Mroz - Like Ryleigh, he started offbeat, but once he found his footing, he was phenomenal. I'm glad he pulled off the unconventional song choice.

5. Dana Monique - Girl can SANG. I don't think I'll come back to it often, as this is not my type of music, but as a vocalist, she's undeniable.

Good

6. Andrew Marshall - After a shaky start, he nailed all his high notes. He doesn't really interest me so this won't make me stan him or anything, but its a respectable job.

7. Jordan Matthew Young - I don't like how he smiled his way through the song, but I liked how he sounded on it. Probably his best so far.

Decent

8. Victor Solomon - I think he overdid the dancing on this one. The vocals were solid, albeit unexciting. Pretty average for a supposed "frontrunner".

9. Gean Garcia - Okay, I liked this much better upon a rewatch. There were rough parts, which is why I still think Victor deserved to move on, but it was very close.

10. Ciana Pelekai - What I didn't like about this performance is that it felt it was disingenuous. However, I do think she showed the most vocal capability out of all the losers. I have Gean placed higher, but I actually thought Ciana was the most deserving of a steal.

11. Ethan Lively - He actually did fairly well and his tone has grown on me, but I enjoyed the others more.

Meh

12. Keegan Ferrell - Thought this was okay at first, but upon a relisten, I could hear the pitch issues.

1. Corey and Pia crushed it, carried the night, both finally blew me away, I'd maybe give an edge to Pia because she was much lower in my book post battles. Then again, Corey is more my style, so therefore I'm torn.

2.  Ryleigh Modig - didn't entirely live up to my expectations after her amazing battle but still great and deserving of hype

3. Dana Monique - seems wrong to rank her below anyone else but she didn't really do much for me, I'd say a letdown after her battle, obviously a great vocalist and performer but it did come across as show-offy and karaoke, sorry y'all

4. Andrew Marshall - pleasant surprise for sure, maybe some off moments but pretty good I'd say, like his tone and most choices

5. JMY - a safe choice, didn't care for him before this, don't care now, but he gave a good performance

6. Pete Mroz - he felt kinda awkward on stage, seemed little drunk lmao jk, not my style and wasn't that good but he wasn't bad either, I applaud him for surviving the song choice

7. Gean Garcia - I blame the song choice, not bad, nice tone just the performance went nowhere

8. Victor Solomon - not bad but it felt cheesy, had karaoke written all over it and also some of those dance moves may haunt me

9. Ciana Pelekai - good start, kinda went downhill, also felt karaoke

10. Ethan Lively - wanted him to crush it like his battle but his inexperience and lack of artistry showed

11. Keegan Ferrell - don't remember anything about his performance and don't have the need to rewatch, I'm sure he wasn't that bad but that puts him here for me

What a night, no one really bombed imo.

1. Pia: Probably the most unexpected surprise of the night for me. Her best performance by a long shot.

2. Corey: Really good, but my only nitpick is he might have tried a bit too hard at places to sound like Sleeping At Last (I know it's their version but still)

3. Dana: Ok she absolutely crushed it. It was intense from start to finish, though I generally prefer more peaks and valleys in between. The performance got a bit repetitive by the third verse, but still great.

4. Gean: I know the song doesn't go much anywhere, but I really like and connect with this performance for some reason. Pretty cute how everyone clapped along while he sang too.

5. Andrew: The song choice had me rolling my eyes, but I was delightfully surprised at what he did with it.

6. Jordan: Squarely middle of the pack, but I still like it. He's awkward on stage without his guitar though.

7. Victor: Eh I could do with not having to listen to this song again, he did well enough but it was still cheesy and karaoke. Mostly the song's fault though, I think he's better than that.

8. Pete: Not the best version of this song that I've heard, but still solid. He might need some stage choreography though, his pacing back and forth looked kinda uncomfortable to me.

9. Ethan: Don't know why but I was pretty convinced he was winning this KO, a little relieved he didn't.

10. Ryleigh: May be unpopular, but if solely based on this performance, I don't think she should be stolen. Way overusing her head voice here, while the song calls for more belting to make it work. Also did the second verse sound off-timing or out of pocket to anyone else? The instrumental in that part sounded off to me.

11. Keegan: It was pleasant enough, despite all the pitch problems.

12. Ciana: The song was just too big, it was messy but she did put up a fight.
