He´s actually performed with Ricky in other venues like the CMAs, and different stages. As for the pairing, I hope it doesn´t happen. Honestly, I think those appearances are good resume builders, but I can’t imagine many of the rank and file remember him. If he would have sung at the CMA, that might be a different story, but a fiddle player? Maybe a few hard core Ricky Skaggs fans. Mohammad Posted July 10, 2021 Share Posted July 10, 2021 I don’t think Blake is dropping Wendy or Carson and remember this isn’t the season 18/19/20 format , so if it was like the season 14/15/16/17 format Blake will have a save and if he did put Carson and Wendy against each other I see him using his save on one of them in either the Battles if it’s the season 17 format or the Knockouts if it’s the season 14/15/16 but I doubt Blake will pair them together, he’s smarter than that. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean, Blake won 3 times in a row once upon a time, and Kelly did it twice in most recent seasons, so it could happen. But yeah, TPTB made a weird move getting someone like Wendy on the season where they´re supposedly pimping Ariana, because she isn´t Ariana material at all. Morgan Frazier performed at the Opry multiple times before coming on the show. People either didn’t know (most likely) or didn’t care.
