My low ranking of "I Believe" wasn't purposeful like JC & Sola. I love all of the performances in this top 20 and that's just where it ended up.  I don't like to do purposeful tankings in mini-rankdowns.

Not only that, the Top 5 were in the exact order I ranked them! I'm framing this moment because I doubt it'll ever happen again! 

 

I totally expected Summertime to be #1; however, I really underestimated how polarizing Fantasia is.  With that said, I'm certainly not complaining about Don't Rain On My Parade topping the list!

 

I'm looking forward to S4. S5 on the other hand...

Oooh yeah I totally believe you on this. You barely (if ever) tank in rankdowns and always genuine in your rankings.  And yeah this Top 20 was super stacked anyway, haha.

Elliott sends Ryan's "You Really Got Me" to the finals, and it comes in at #20.

JC sends Clay's "Someone Else's Star" to the finals, and it comes in at #20.

Crisis sends LaToya's "Don't Rain on My Parade" to the finals, and it comes in at #1.

 

So wow what a difference there.   Crisis broke that solo ranker pick #20 ranking curse.

I can assure you it wasn’t any funny business (I was clearly only concerned about tanking Diana and Jasmine). 6-15 were really tough to rank, and I never really connected with LaToya’s Somewhere compared to the other performances so it ended up at the bottom of my top 15.

 

Doing this season has given me a newfound appreciation for LaToya, though  That I will inevitably forget about in two weeks

It is funny how that happened.  Fantasia was my second favorite that season, so I enjoyed her. One thing I've noticed about is people seem to respect her talent even if they're not a fan of her voice. I get that she's not for everyone, but I will fight anyone who says she has no talent.
