Un último punto. Honestamente, a veces, me siento como la única persona que NO piensa que le robaron a Lauren Duski. Preferí a Chris Blue.

A tie between Katrina Parker and Loren Allred

Katrina: During the convoluted S2 semi-final, the Coaches got to score their 2 remaining contestants. 3 coaches said 50/50 and let the public decide. Adam, OTOH, put his thumb on the scale for Tony Luca. It turned out that Katrina beat Tony head to head, but lost because of Adam’s decision.

Loren: For reasons never very clear, she was double montaged in the Blinds and Battles. Then she slayed during her KO, but it was too late. She had no fan base at all.

en base a mis gustos y temporadas que vi (tratando de no olvidar a nadie)

S13: Es difícil por el talento, pero elijo: Moriah Formica, Noah Mac, Emily Luther.
S14: Kyla y Britton eran superiores a Brynn.

Do you think it would have mattered? This is the type of artist the audience usually  doesn’t support. Is this really slaying? It doesn’t do much for me, but there’s a good chance it’s mostly the song choice.

The audience doesn't usually support Zan or Joanna but each advanced far enough

It’s nearly impossible to argue a counter factual, but I wish she would have been given a clean shot. S3 brought a lot of changes to the format (steals introduced, no more 1 finalist per coach). There were 16 artists per team that season, so it was easy to get lost in the shuffle. I believe that Loren was one of the first to be double montaged. She was certainly the first to be double montaged and then win the next round and move on.

The guy that got the second public vote on Adam’s team (no one was beating Amanda Brown) wasn’t particularly compelling. There’s a good chance Loren could have gotten that slot if she hadn’t been hidden.

We’ll never know!

Fair enough.  She’s clearly better off anyway.

That plus the first few seasons are the point where the show hadn't transitioned fully to a predominantly country-loving audience - Javier and Jermaine were both more R&B/soul artists, and with others like Melanie that season and Dia from S1 doing so well, the audience was more open to eclectic/distinctive tones at that point. That said, Loren's gone on to be more successful than most other Voice alumni, so it worked out well for her.

She slayed me for sure 😍😍😍

But yeah, these days Loren would be considered #TooHotForMinivan.

Toia Jones' elimination was an absolute tragedy. Her rendition of "Crazy in Love" was strong in both her vocals and her stage presence.

As for Loren, I feel like she's improved since the show. Her KO was good, but her live performance was just average. She would thrive on the show if she did it now though, she's grown into a very strong vocalist.

To this day, the obvious bussing of Kyla Jade makes me mad. She could have at least gotten runner-up if the producers didn't screw her over.

She didn't deserve to get eliminated but Adam made the right choice in long terms of choosing Damien cz he was the finalist of that season.

Toia was an icon and I was so confident that she moved on from her performance of Crazy in Love (on YT) that I was shocked to see that she didn't move on. Yes, damien was good, but she was amazing in that performance, and both deserved to move on. She was robbed

As good as Kyla was, I think that it wouldn't have helped even if she hadn't been bussed.  I'm fairly certain that Brynn and Britton had the top two on lock (Britton's one time needing the Instant Save notwithstanding).  They were the only two to get bonuses at all throughout the Lives.

Britton being in the instant save says it all: he would have been in 4th or 3rd.

Edit: I don't know what's confusing about this? If he was in the instant save, he had between the 4th and 6th highest votes in the semifinals. Therefore, it's not really plausible to say that Britton had the top two on lock, if he placed at most 4th in the Semifinals voting.

Britton had two iTunes bonuses on finale night, with his original charting at #1, compared to Kyla´s original solely charting at #9. Remember this was back when iTunes mattered on the show, that definitely gave Britton a push to 2nd place given that both Spensha and Kyla had only one bonus and charted lower than him.

I honestly liked Britton a lot, and I think him and Kyla were the deserving Top 2 of that season, but Brynn already had everything locked up. Hell, the fact that TPTB let her open the semifinals, by far the worst week to get that spot , says it all.

Unpopular opinion but I think Megan Danielle was robbed...she deserved top 2 with thunderstorm

Based on her progression and the flopping of the other queens that season, I agree tbh. Tstorm also did the best that finale night, so depending on how Megan would have done, I wouldn't have minded a win from either of them. I actually expected Megan to win the whole show after her KO performance.

Britton didn't get runner-up bcs of iTunes. He didn't miraculously beat everyone on iTunes but had the fewest votes. I know iTunes doesn't always precisely translate into votes but there's strong implication that because he did good on finale night he got votes and high iTunes placement

Agreed. Britton's original was the best performance of the night so he got votes as well as high iTunes placement for that.

Not even close. It was pitchy, and he had trouble hitting the high notes in a song he wrote.

Anyway, Brynn actually passed him on iTunes by the end of the night for #1.

I am fairly sure that if Kyla didn't get bussed, then Britton would not have gotten 2nd place, which I think was the point that someone above tried to make.

I did wonder if Kyla tried to get bussed because she didn't want to win, so that's a possibility, but I doubt that using a plagiarized song would be something one would intentionally do in the first place.

I do agree it was very pitchy, but even then I think it was one of the best performances of the night, by default (probably the worst finale night ever).
