Favourite Coaches (Past & Present)

Pop/rock coach wise, I like Kelly the most overall but I enjoyed what Christina added to the show as well. I also voted for Gwen and Nick since they're both underrated and tend to make really good battle matchups.

 

R&B-wise I enjoyed Usher and Alicia a lot and JHud was a lot of fun too, so I'd be happy to see any of them come back (even if just as the mega-mentor or a battle advisor).

 

Country-wise, replacing Blake is a tall order (and not just because he's 6'5"), but it'd really depend who they got as his replacement.

Kacey Musgraves would be an awesome addition. If they had to replace Blake I would choose her as his replacement.

For the pop/rock lane, at this point Kelly is a lock. Yes she has her questionable decisions and song choices but overall her energy and enthusiasm is a welcome addition to the show. I wasn´t a fan of Christina as a coach, not going to lie, so I voted Kelly and Gwen, given that the later has learned to play the game finally. Nick was ok in his first season, let´s see how he does this time around.

 

For R&B, definitely Usher. All around great coach. Alicia is great as well. So I voted for them both. 

 

For country, Blake has pretty much been the backbone of this show through and through. If they actually replace him, it would have to be someone who appeals to that demo as well, and that has the charisma and quick wit Blake has. So for now, I´ll say no.

True, but John is probably more controversial than her and he’s done ok with the voters, so I think she would be fine. The show wouldn’t last very long without Blake tho so I don’t think it would matter :haha:

Maybe Carrie Underwood? She's definitely got experience winning a competition like this. Reba McEntire could also fill Blake's shoes. 🤔

In all seriousness though, Blake is getting married soon so he may want to take a season off when that happens (i.e. in order to plan a wedding and spend time with his family). And if Blake does decide to take a break, they better get a good country artist to replace him, or else the show's ratings will certainly flop. 😅
