Flashback to the most iconic round of a Rankdown that lasted 23 pages and exposed 4 immunities. :dead:

It’s 2021, I’m trying to turn over a new leaf.

Until someone (probably Wally) makes me get petty.

Jeffrey Ross

Jeffrey Ross is a stand-up comedian who competed on Dancing with the Stars Season 7 and was partnered with Edyta Śliwińska. Jeffrey was also the first celebrity eliminated that season. Eliminating Jeffrey Ross was the super easy decision for me here, as he’s by far the weakest dancer of the remaining celebs. I do think Jeffrey is definitely amongst one of the worst dancers to be on DWTS as well. I kinda had low expectations for him when he was cast, and yeah…. that sadly came true. He only lasted one week having danced a Cha-Cha to “Play That Funky Music” scoring a 12 (all 4s from the judges). This season had a two week premiere and eh was eliminated that following night.  He had a Quickstep prepared but never got to dance to it. I feel bad for contestants that get eliminated before having. Jeffrey also experience a bad eye injury where Edyta accidentally kicked him in the eye so he had to wear an eye patch on that week. That’s sad as well. B ut well done to Jeffrey for….. avoiding landing i n the Bottom 10 of this Rankdown and outlasting some better dancers than him. That’s good for him.

Here is his Cha-Cha for those that may want to watch this again….. which I’m sure has been said by no one ever lol

Mary Lou Retton

Very happy that I get to take Mary Lou out of this game. Not only because she's one of the many who robbed Tinashe, but also because she's just not a good person. She actively supported L*rry N*ss*r and was one of many who tried to get a bill meant to protect young athletes from sexual abuse dropped from congress. Luckily, they failed and the bill passed. Naturally, DWTS decided the only logical thing to do was not only cast her, but pair her with Sasha Farber, who had been paired with N*ss*r victim Simone Biles a few seasons earlier and is still good friends with her. The whole situation was really just bad. As for how she was as a dancer? Meh. Not good at all. Her lowest score was a 19 and her highest was a 26. She managed to last 6 weeks before getting eliminated, and was the 5th female eliminated in a row because we all know the general audience hates females. I was not sad to see her get eliminated from the show, and I'm not sad to cut her from this rankdown.

John Schneider

Knowing Elliott, there's a reason he's nominated in the first cycle, but I don't know it off the top of my head like with Mary Lou and I don't feel like looking it up, so someone else can post the dirt on him if they want. He's another one who robbed Tinashe, so I'm on a roll right now. And he wasn't good at all. He was partnered with Emma, continuing her trend of getting trash and bad dancers (other than Rashad and James). His lowest score was a 18. His highest  individual score was a 25. He lucked out by being on a good team dance and got a 29 for that. This doesn't surprise me because the judges like to be overly generous with their scores. He finally got eliminated in week 7 in a double elimination that also took out DeMarcus Ware. And now he's eliminated from this rankdown.

Warren Sapp

This second cut was A LOT harder and something i kept conflicting on going back and forth on. I would have realistically cut John Schneider - nothing against him but yeah he was my 2nd least fave of the nominees. But I also considered cutting Warren or Kristin to give them good write-ups as I really enjoyed them as contestants on the show. I also even thought of using my save on Warren too. Ultimately, I decided on cutting Warren as I feel Kristin could survive and go further along in this game than Warren - and I also want to give him a good write-up right now while I can. Now I know Warren has had a problematic past, hence his nomination - which I certainly don’t condone and does disappoint me as a fan. But I’m not entirely familiar with all of that,so I will just focus on his time on the show and my thoughts of his run. Which as you all know, is how I go about my decisions in the game.

Warren Sapp is a former football player (former defensive tackler, to be exact) who competed on Dancing with the Stars Season 7 and was partnered with Kym Johnson. Warren was a strong contender and made it all the way to the runner-up spot on the show. Warren was one of my favorites on Season 7, in fact he was my 3rd favorite that season. And I would consider him one of my favorite football player contestants on the show. Warren was fun, light on his toes and footwork and i thought he and Kym had a charming partnership. He wasn’t like a super technical amazing dancer but he had style, could move and certain could sell and perform a dance.

A brief run of his dances…. Warren dance a Cha-Cha (scored: 21), Quickstep (scored: 22), Paso Doble (scored: 24), Viennese Waltz (scored: 25), Samba (scored: 22), Hustle (scored: 25), Rumba (scored: 25), Foxtrot (scored: 21), Team Paso Doble with Brooke & Maurice (scored: 29), Tango (scored: 28), Jive (scored: 26), Mambo (scored: 24), Jittberbug (scored: 25), Samba relay (scored: 25), Freestyle (scored: 28) and Hustle reprise (scored: 27).

From the above, I would say my favorite dances from Warren were his Paso Doble, Viennese Waltz, Hustle (both versions), Team Paso, Tango, Jive and Freestyle. His Hustle was in particular my favorite of his and was a dance i was obsessed with back in the day. :dead::bobo: Perfect time to post this gif.

Also loved and thought his Tango was really great - and thought he nailed the character and had some of his best technique there. His best ballroom by far (which was kind of a struggle for him at times). And Kym was so hot in that dance too. His VW was charming, his Jive (though I think i remember Len cracking on his footwork there? lol) & Freestyle were fun and loved the intensity of his Paso. And while I was good with Warren making the finale, of course I wasn’t here for him placing 2nd over Lance. 3rd would have been ideal for him but it is what it is, lol. I will close this out with some of his dances.
