I just came to report on the car accident. The other car was destroyed but they had a big car so I guess that helped them. KB looked pretty banged up and was in the hospital but ultimately they should be fine. I hope the people in the other car are fine as well.

You mean fine, not done.  I hope that the people in the other car are fine as well.  I wonder how the accident happened.

I am glad they are ok!!

I gasped when I saw the pics. Poor things.

Surprised MJs blog didn't post about it. Though she rarely updates on weekends. And her site is dead half the time and full of ads.

She wastes no time posting bad news. Smh. I still remember when Kris Allen was in that awful car wreck. Fans were hopeful. Haters fueled. Meh. Kinda glad she doesnt jump to click bait as much but come Monday morning... 😒

Huh, I know she’s (deservedly) gotten s**t for the “ex gay” comments but I didn’t realize how good Laporsha was? I think until recently the only performance of hers I knew was Diamonds.

Cant really say she was robbed since Trent was deserving too (everyone talks about Chandelier but I thought Sharp Dressed Man was equally as good). But I think she barely missed if at all, one of the best powerhouses I’ve heard in these shows tbh.

I believe she acknowledged and apologized for her insensitive comments and has since been an advocate for the community so least she learned.

She was stellar on her idol run, she rarely if all missed!

Props to Abi for working on new music, but the fact that she’s using Blake Proehl’s producer indicates there will likely be no label signing any time soon. It will be a Groundwork Records release just like her first single was. I’m not say there’s anything wrong with that.

Checking the progress of this, it looks like a few more of the expensive seats sold. There may now be enough sold in those sections to make it look like a big crowd with tricky camera work. There’s still time. Maybe there will be a big push for the next 19 days…

i think it was def a big gamble to book an arena, but obviously her team has faith in it. since it's a local show, i think they are relying on

1) word of mouth from locals

2) last minute sales from people who are looking for something fun to do the week of/the day of

i dont see it selling out but it should pull a solid crowd when all is said and done

KB just announced that she will be releasing her second single Teach You How To Love Me on July 19th!

That sounds like it could be a pretty sensual song. It might really take off.

Well I don't freakin' live in Cali, so unfortunately I can't help out with this. 🤦‍♂️

I’ve been scouring the internet for Abi content. I’ve watched her performing at least 3 solid originals and she has at least a couple more that I haven’t been able to hear (saw her set list from the Olympic trials - 7 songs only one cover which was My Immortal). One called “Burned” is my favorite so far I think. It’s got a Paramore vibe and a very catchy melody.

Still uncertain whether she signed anywhere other than Groundwork, but regardless she seems to have hit the ground running and is teasing multiple songs. Seems to be getting the resources she needs early from whatever deal she has.

yes, I’m obsessed.

FYI…to the poster speculating why she was in Minneapolis. That’s where the Olympic gymnastics trial was that she performed at. I assume she did this recording at that time. Blake has a lot of connections in Minneapolis. I actually live in a Minneapolis suburb, and know the family of one of the high profile Olympic gymnasts that is from here. I don’t want to give too much away on the internet so I’ll leave it at that.

I think that the gymnast whose family you know is probably Shane Wiskus, as he’s from Minnesota.  Or maybe it’s Sunisa Lee, the defending Olympic all-around champion, who lives in St. Paul.  I’m a huge fan of women’s gymnastics, and I watched the Trials.

Well, one of those is more “high profile” than the other.

Abi announced an opening act and it’s NOT an Idol-related act. (It’s a singer named Laur Elle.) I’m surprised. Having fellow alums perform with you is practically a tradition.
