That's going to be a problem. The coronation is Sunday May 7th which has a scheduled live Idol show. I assume that means 2 guest judges.

Does anybody know if HunterGirl and Noah are performing a duet tonight, or if they are both performing their own songs? 

 

It's kinda funny how attached they have been since Season 20. It feels like it was a double crowning for both of them, rather than just Noah winning :giggle:I think they work well together and are more marketable as a duo though.

So.. who does everyone actually want in the top 12? Before we get into tonight.

 

My personal top 12 based on overall run without thinking too much on it.

 

1. Megan

2. Kaeyra

3 Wé

4 Iam

5 Warren

6. Zachariah

7. NailYah

8. Olivia

9. Marybeth

10 Lucy

11. Nutsa

12. Oliver

 

Pains me to leave out Paige and Tyson. But just not consistent enough. Michael has had a few good performances but everyone else has simply been more consistent, partly due to more airtime.

Not really any disagreements this time around. I am surprised Megan isnt in his personal top 10 given that he always praises her. Though i get her voice is an acquired taste. Haven comtinues to be one of his personal favourites too which is another surprise.

 

His actual analysis of the performances is pretty spot on for the most part though.

I've noticed he's been pretty lenient on both Haven and Mariah throughout the competition. He was pretty generous with PJAE's performances after Hollywood which I thought weren't that good.

 

Actually come to think of it, feels like he's nicer this season than in past seasons. Maybe just me though.

I saw in his Q&A afterwards he said he acccidentally missed Megan.. otherwise would have been #4/#5 in his ranking.

I have no guesses tbh, but based on this statement, it sounds like it ISN'T a past judge and/or alumni.

Okay call me crazy but I think Miley Cyrus could be one of the replacements?

 

- She is currently promoting her new album (they could sneak in a performance for her).

- Noah Cyrus was a mentor in Hawaii and she could've convinced Miley to do it.

- Miley did a special on Disney+ for her new album, so she has ties to Disney/ABC.

- She is not a stranger to judging Reality TV (The Voice)

- She's had her songs covered a lot which matches Luke's hint.

i see it, she also fits the pop lane that Katy covers well (and she has roots in rock, though i guess rock-n-roll week would be over by then)

that's a great guess.  I like that guess a lot.  it makes tons of sense.   that would be a wild coincidence too since Miley was a coach on The Voice on the season We was on.
