Kelly is my favorite, but Nick and Gwen are close seconds in their respective seasons. Nick Jonas is the better Coach imo, because Gwen doesn’t always make the best decisions (and no, I’m not referring to her saving Ben over Payge.) Both Nick and Gwen had great Battles though.

As much as I loved Payge this season, from a strategic standpoint, Gwen's decision to choose Ben over Payge actually makes sense. Payge's delicate and sophisticated style wouldn't have garnered as many votes compared to a classic-sounding country singer like Ben. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Gwen to save Payge but I can definitely see where she is coming from.

Kelly's my favorite in that she works with her artists post-show, makes for entertaining TV, and is generally pretty good at song selection (not perfect, but she doesn't strike me as the type to massively screw somebody over on purpose). She can be a little bit of a wildcard with her choices in pre-taped rounds, so I don't always agree with her but I can generally see her logic on who she advances and why, though exceptions exist. 

 

Nick and Gwen are both underrated as coaches - Nick has a surprisingly strong technical knowledge of music for his age and Gwen's got stage presence down-pat; both of them also add a slightly more laid-back vibe to the chemistry of the panel while still mixing well with everyone else. Additionally, both Nick and Gwen have knacks for picking songs in the battles that work for both artists rather than making it one-sided. I picked Gwen because her presence usually adds more eclectic acts to the talent pool and she makes for more entertaining TV, but I'm not mad Nick's coming back either.
