Can't wait to see the auditions of my two snowflakes whom name start with J.

Jeli and Jayge, right? 🤣 (I'm kidding, I'm interested to see how Jim's audition goes down even if he's probably not gonna be my favorite of the season)

Of the ones we still have to see on tonight's show, who's everyone looking forward to seeing?

Unable to watch the blinds live this season due to my current work schedule but I'll catch y'all on the spoiler page after! ❤️

It'll be nice finally getting to watch it live with the West Coast instead for once though :haha:

yeah i would prefer to watch it with the west coast but we do not have cable and idt that i'd be able to watch it unless on a stream online :( it is nice though to watch along with everyone here, so i can see all the comments live!

I generally see things as they go up on YouTube since I'm still drowning in homework, but I cleared my schedule for tonight - it doesn't mean I'll be able to keep up with the breakneck speed of the thread here so I may go post on Reddit if they get their audition thread up in time since that's easier to follow (as someone who's a slower typer), then come back here after stuff's done with my final thoughts.

In any case, I started my app team lineup drafting in my notes and four of the names I'm putting on there are up for tonight's lineup, so that's fun.

Do you have any advice for the app teams? I’m new to that system. Basically, how does it work? 😅

It cuts from 12 to 8 to 3 and I didn't start using it seriously til last season - but I'm planning to have four artists I know miss the live rounds as "fodder" so I can cut from 12 to 8 without losing any points from not having people I predicted would make the lives (but didn't) on my team. After that, it's a matter of picking a combo of my favorites who I want in the finale along with who I think will actually be there for my final three. I screwed up because I forgot to switch Todd in for my final three, but 2/3 of my team last season were in the finale so I'm fine with it.

You get more points if the winner's on your final team of three and more points for each day any artist is on your team. Luckily for me, I get to start farming some points early because all of the ones I plan to add on tonight will be in the lives, but had the lineup looked different (since you can't add people before their audition airs on NBC) this might not be the case.

Are you allowed to add contestants to your team when the show isn’t live?

You can add people and switch out team members at any point after we meet them as an audience before the app cuts to the final three, but they have to be on your team for consecutive days to build up your point count, I believe.

For example, using names from last season, say I want Toneisha on my team but towards the end of auditions I decide to switch her out for Anaya. After Anaya loses her KO, she stops counting for points, so I remove her and add Toneisha back in. For all that time Toneisha was off my team, she's not counting towards my point value. So you really have to limit your sub-ins and removals if you want to maximize the points your team earns you.

Removing spoilers (I'm quoted downthread with the names I previously used, though, so idk how effective this will be).

I want to have a lot of points this season but usually I keep on forgetting about it lol

Don't overthink it - we have several people we know should make the lives (if what we're seeing elsewhere is accurate) and from there just pick who speaks to you as an artist.

I’ve saved a “free spot” for someone who speaks to me. I’ll adjust my team depending on who it is.
