PRESS RELEASE

Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery announces his new single You Time,” set for release Sept. 23. The new track gives fans their first look at what to expect from his forthcoming album, the follow-up to his RIAA Gold-Certified Seasons Change. A release date for the new project will be announced soon.

“I am so excited about releasing new music, especially a song that makes me think of Gabi and puts me in a joyful mood. I think we can all use a smile right now,” said the singer/songwriter.  Written by McCreery with Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis, the up-tempo track is a bouncy love letter to wife Gabi with McCreery reflecting on both their busy work schedules and just wanting her all to himself. The song (and the upcoming album) was produced by Rogers, Eshuis and Derek Wells, who all produced Seasons Change. Fans can pre-save “You Time” HERE.

I need a little you time, you time
Red wine sippin’ in moonlight
Your touch, your skin
Your lips kissin’ on me all night
I ain’t tryin’ to monopolize
Your 24/7, 365
But sometimes I need
Just a little bit of me and
You time, you time, you time

As the first act to welcome the return of live audiences to Ryman Auditorium, the multi-Platinum artist will give the debut performance of “You Time” tomorrow night to a sold-out limited in-venue audience of 125 fans in the ‘LIVE AT THE RYMAN’ series, a full-circle moment as McCreery’s sold-out performance in March of this year marked the last show by a single artist act to take place prior to the Ryman’s temporary suspension of operations.

‘LIVE AT THE RYMAN’ is a hybrid concert model developed by Opry Entertainment with input from the company’s official wellness advisor, Vanderbilt Health, designed to allow fans from across the country and around the world to experience live music from home while also safely and responsibly welcoming back a limited number of guests to experience the series in as local health regulations permit. Livestream tickets starting at $10 are available for purchase HERE.

“You Time” follows three consecutive No. 1 singles from Seasons Change, which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Country Album chart, including: the RIAA Double Platinum-Certified “Five More Minutes,” the RIAA Platinum-Certified “This Is It,” which stayed at top of the charts for two weeks, and recent hit, “In Between.”

The North Carolina native is currently hard at work on his follow up to Seasons Change, which Rolling Stone named as one of the “40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2018” and Whiskey Riff named it as one of the “30 Top Albums of 2018.” Taste of Country said Seasons Change “showcased [McCreery’s] growth as a songwriter and storyteller and his understanding of how and when to share parts of his own story.”

McCreery will also join WSM-AM and Circle Plus’s “Coffee, Country and Cody” with Bill Cody on Friday, Sept. 4 at 9:30 a.m. CT via Zoom to discuss his ‘LIVE AT THE RYMAN’ show. Cody will be moderating the Q&A prior to McCreery’s performance Friday evening.

Since mid-March, McCreery has already given nearly 100 live-stream performances ranging from Twitch Stream Aid, “Circle Sessions,” “Feed the Front Line Live, Presented by CMT” and numerous Facebook and Instagram Live events with country radio stations across the nation and media outlets, which he has dubbed his “Somewhere in Quarantine Tour.”

About Scotty McCreery  McCreery achieved new heights by earning three back-to-back No. 1 hits from his most recent album Seasons Change, the RIAA Gold certified project which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album chart: the RIAA Double Platinum-certified “Five More Minutes,” the RIAA Platinum-certified “This is It,” which stayed at the top of the charts for two weeks, and “In Between.” He co-wrote all 11 songs on Seasons Change. All four of his albums have debuted at No. 1 on a Billboard Albums chart, with current combined sales surpassing 3 million copies. He’s earned one Double Platinum, four Platinum and one Gold singles; won the 10th season of “American Idol” in 2011; was named the ACM New Artist of the Year in 2011; won the CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year (“The Trouble with Girls”) in 2012; American Country Awards for New Artist of the Year in 2011 and Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2013; BMI Awards for writing One of the Top 50 Country Songs of the Year three times (in 2015 for “See You Tonight,” in 2018 for “Five More Minutes,” and in 2019 for “This is It”); a Carolina Beach Music Award for National Dance/Shag Song of the Year (“Barefootin’”) in 2018; and the NSAI Nashville Songwriter Award for One of the Top Ten Songs I Wish I’d Written (“Five More Minutes”) in 2018. The North Carolina native released his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, in 2016; it was recently re-released in paperback in 2020. McCreery launched his recording career by making history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Here is a comment on Pulse from someone I assume is in radio or the industry.

"Looking forward to this release. Two more weeks. After hearing the radio version this is exactly the kind of single to kick off album #4."

Gotta agree with that radio person. You can pre order or you can have a copy of the final version sent to you 😀 Or you can do both as I did. Rolling the windows down in the car and cranking it up...wow. Very excited for this one.

Have no idea Sherry ... I saw a tweet from Trouble with Boys  about Clear 99 playing all of Scottys songs ..had seen no promo about it or any info regarding and I figured it was probably the same 4 or 5 songs other stations had played . But decided to tune in and suddenly I hear YOU TIME ..almost fell off my chair. Dont really know if this was the official recording or 'borrowing' from the live stream .

lol.   Booneville has a population of 8k or 9k.   They're so small they can do whatever they want.
