After almost a year, my list changed only slightly.

I included Corey in my Top 5, because his run reminded me so much of Will Champlin's run. They were both in pretty stacked seasons, and they were relatively under the radar during prelives, but they continually proved themselves and became fan favorites. I truly believe that if Season 20's format was changed to S5's format, Corey would have made the finale. They're both just easy to root for.

Honorable mention to Will Breman, who revived my interest in the show after I almost quit at the end of Season 16.

1. Jordan Smith. Vocally, all his performances were nearly flawless

 

2. Davon Fleming. Inconsistent, but his playoff performance is some of the best vocals I've ever heard on the show. Also really like the rest of his prelive performances.

 

3. Patrique Forston. Every performance was great except his last. I actually think his blind audition is his best.

 

 

4. Matthew Schuler. Also inconsistent, best rendition of hallelujah on the show imo and one of the best knockouts of all time

 

 

5. John Holiday. He'd be higher if it wasn't only limited to his time on the show.

 if it was "best" rather than favourite you might see more people have him at 1.

 

And yeah, John's opera and jazz covers are majestic. It would have been awesome to see him do opera on the voice, but that's just wishful thinking.

1. Yeah, Jordan is undeniably the best male to ever be on this show. Without Question.

 

2. I Love John's jazzy and operatic stuff so much. Too bad he didn't do that On-Show.
