15. LUCY KELSON - TWO WEEKS NOTICE (2002)

Film Synopsis: Dedicated environmental lawyer Lucy Kelson (Sandra Bullock) goes to work for billionaire George Wade (Hugh Grant) as part of a deal to preserve a community center. Indecisive and weak-willed George grows dependent on Lucy's guidance on everything from legal matters to clothing. Exasperated, Lucy gives notice and picks Harvard graduate June Carter (Alicia Witt) as her replacement. As Lucy's time at the firm nears an end, she grows jealous of June and has second thoughts about leaving George.

Film Synopsis: Birdee Pruitt (Sandra Bullock) has been humiliated on live television by her best friend, Connie (Rosanna Arquette), who's been sleeping with Birdee's husband, Bill (Michael Paré). Birdee tries starting over with her daughter, Bernice (Mae Whitman), by returning to her small Texas hometown, but she's faced with petty old acquaintances who are thrilled to see Birdee unhappy -- except for her friend Justin (Harry Connick Jr.). As he helps Birdee get back on her feet, love begins to blossom.

Characters include a district attorney (Brendan Fraser) and his casually prejudiced wife (Sandra Bullock), dating police detectives Graham (Don Cheadle) and Ria (Jennifer Esposito), a victimized Middle Eastern store owner and a wealthy African-American couple (Terrence Dashon Howard, Thandie Newton) humiliated by a racist traffic cop (Matt Dillon).

DEE: 14 - The worst Best Picture winner ever? Definitely. The fact that even the director admits that this was far from the best movie that year still sends me!!!

11. GWEN CUMMINGS - 28 DAYS (2000)

Film Synopsis: A hard-drinking New York journalist takes her reputation as the life and soul of the party too far when she knocks over her sister's wedding cake and crashes the bridal limousine. When a court orders her into rehab for a month, she initially refuses, but eventually she begins to take her substance abuse seriously.

10. DEBBIE OCEAN - OCEAN'S 8 (2018)

Film Synopsis: Five years, eight months, 12 days and counting -- that's how long Debbie Ocean has been devising the biggest heist of her life. She knows what it's going to take -- a team of the best people in the field, starting with her partner-in-crime Lou Miller. Together, they recruit a crew of specialists, including jeweler Amita, street con Constance, suburban mom Tammy, hacker Nine Ball, and fashion designer Rose. Their target -- a necklace that's worth more than $150 million.

DEE: 4 - Just really solid. I think it relies a bit too much on the established celebrity of its ensemble cast, but just a fun watch.

9. MIRIAM  - THE PRINCE OF EGYPT (1998)

Film Synopsis: In this animated retelling of the Book of Exodus, Egyptian Prince Moses (Val Kilmer), upon discovering his roots as a Jewish slave, embarks on a quest to free his people from bondage. When his plea is denied by his brother Rameses (Ralph Fiennes), the new pharaoh, a series of horrific plagues strike Egypt. Moses finally leads the Israelites to freedom by parting the Red Sea and drowning the Egyptian army. God then gives Moses the Ten Commandments, a list of rules for his people to live by. Sandra Bullock plays Miriam, Moses's biological sister.

8. ELLEN ROARK - A TIME TO KILL (1996)

Film Synopsis: Carl Lee Hailey (Samuel L. Jackson) is a heartbroken black father who avenges his daughter's brutal rape by shooting the bigoted men responsible for the crime as they are on their way to trial. He turns to Jake Brigance (Matthew McConaughey), an untested lawyer, to defend him. Brigance struggles to believe that he can get Hailey acquitted in this small, segregated Southern town, given Hailey's race and the deliberate nature of his crimes, but Carl has unshakable faith in him. Sandra Bullock plays a law student part of the defense team.

Film Synopsis: FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a long-standing reputation for excellence -- and arrogance. In contrast, foul-mouthed, hot-tempered detective Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy) goes with her gut instincts and street smarts to remove criminals from the streets of Boston. Sparks fly when these polar opposites have to work together to capture a drug lord, but in the process, they become the last thing anyone expected -- buddies.

6. LUCY ELEANOR MODERATZ - WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING (1995)

Film Synopsis: Lonely transit worker Lucy Eleanor Moderatz (Sandra Bullock) pulls her longtime crush, Peter (Peter Gallagher), from the path of an oncoming train. At the hospital, doctors report that he's in a coma, and a misplaced comment from Lucy causes Peter's family to assume that she is his fiancée. When Lucy doesn't correct them, they take her into their home and confidence. Things get even more complicated when she finds herself falling for Peter's sheepish brother, Jack (Bill Pullman).

5. MARGARET TATE - THE PROPOSAL (2009)

Film Synopsis: Faced with deportation to her native Canada, high-powered book editor Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) says she's engaged to marry Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds), her hapless assistant. Andrew agrees to the charade, but imposes a few conditions of his own, including flying to Alaska to meet his eccentric family. With a suspicious immigration official always lurking nearby, Margaret and Andrew must stick to their wedding plan despite numerous mishaps.

4. LEIGH ANNE TUOHY -THE BLIND SIDE (2009)

Film Synopsis: Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron), a homeless black teen, has drifted in and out of the school system for years. Then Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) and her husband, Sean (Tim McGraw), take him in. The Tuohys eventually become Michael's legal guardians, transforming both his life and theirs. Michael's tremendous size and protective instincts make him a formidable force on the gridiron, and with help from his new family and devoted tutor, he realizes his potential as a student and football player. Bullock's performance was universally praised, leading to her winning the Academy Award for Best Actress. Bullock also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.

WALLACE: 1 - One of my favorite movies that I have watched multiple times. This movie was really great and definitely warmed my heart.. and may have made me tear up. Sandra is amazing and dynamic as Leigh Anne Tuohy and also won an Oscar for this role.

ANDY: 2 - The movie is quite cheesy and doesn't age super well due to the pretty obvious white savior narrative that drives the plot, but this was a career defining moment for Sandra that gave her a much deserved Oscar and I adore her in this.

3. ANNIE PORTER - SPEED (1994)

Film Synopsis: Los Angeles police officer Jack (Keanu Reeves) angers retired bomb squad member Howard Payne (Dennis Hopper) by foiling his attempt at taking hostages. In revenge, Payne arms a bus with a bomb that will explode if it drops below 50 miles per hour. With the help of spunky passenger Annie (Sandra Bullock), Jack and his partner Harry (Jeff Daniels) try to save the people on the bus before the bomb goes off, while also trying to figure out how Payne is monitoring them.

2. DR. RYAN STONE - GRAVITY (2013)

Film Synopsis: Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a medical engineer on her first shuttle mission. Her commander is veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney), helming his last flight before retirement. Then, during a routine space walk by the pair, disaster strikes: The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Ryan and Matt stranded in deep space with no link to Earth and no hope of rescue. As fear turns to panic, they realize that the only way home may be to venture further into space. At the 86th Academy Awards, Gravity received ten nominations, including Best Actress for Bullock and Best Picture.

DEE: 1 - Duh. The way she should have been stripped of her Oscar for The Blind Side, which was rightfully deserved by Sidibe, and actually awarded for this movie instead.

DEREK: 1 - Robbed in the film rankdown, one of my favorite movies of all time.

ANDY: 3 - You could argue that this is Sandra's best acting performance and I wouldn't even disagree with you. She IS this movie.

1. GRACIE HART - MISS CONGENIALITY (2000)

Film Synopsis: When a terrorist threatens to bomb the Miss United States pageant, the FBI rushes to find a female agent to go under cover as a contestant. Unfortunately, Gracie is the only female FBI agent who can "look the part" despite her complete lack of refinement and femininity. She prides herself in being "just one of the boys" and is horrified at the idea of becoming a girly girl. Bullock also garnered a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical nomination. The film has gained a cult following since its release.

ANDY: 1 - Not her personal best acting performance, but this movie is too iconic not to put at #1. And Sandra is a huge reason why this movie is so amazing and hilarious and legendary.
