The clip above includes multiple scenes with Gyllenhaal and Aniston. 11 JC: 8 DEE: 9 - I love this movie!!! But Jennifer Aniston and John C. Reilly steal the show, so I cannot bring myself to rank it any higher. ELLIOTT: 11 - I haven't seen it but I'm assuming he looked f*ckable in it. SOLA: 11 ANDY: 12 REI: 12 - I’ve never watched this but I know 100% I would love it cause it has two of my favorite people: Jennifer Aniston and Jake Gyllenhaal. ALEX: 14 - This trailer looked awful and what the actual f*ck was Aniston's accent?! 14. JAMIE RANDALL - LOVE & OTHER DRUGS (2010) From IMDB: "Maggie (Hathaway) is an alluring free spirit who won't let anyone - or anything - tie her down. ELLIOTT: 4 - The amount of nudity he had in this movie? We were blessed. Jake Gyllenhaal, I'm just a hole, sir. ANDY: 9 DEE: 14 - Not a good movie. ALEX: 15 - Movie sucks and he got outacted by Hathaway. REI: 15 - I would rank this first if we were basing it in nude scenes which were appreciated. But the film is quite bad so here it lands. SOLA: 15 13. JEFF BAUMAN - STRONGER (2017) From IMDB: "Based on the memoir of the same name by Jeff Bauman and Bret Witter. Stronger is the inspiring real life story of Jeff Bauman, an ordinary man who captured the hearts of his city and the world to become a symbol of hope after surviving the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing." SOLA: 10 ALEX: 11 - Failed Oscar bait. Why bother casting Tatiana Maslany and shoehorn her into the "girlfriend" role to do nothing...? DEE: 12 - Good movie, good performance, nothing special. REI: 13 - This film I haven’ watched so this ranks here by default. JC: 14 12. ADAM BELL / ANTHONY CLAIR - ENEMY (2013) From Wikipedia: "The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal in a dual role as two men who are physically identical, but different in personality." After one of them spots the other in a movie, he becomes obsessed with finding out more about him. Eventually, their lives become intertwined. According to Rotten Tomatoes, "Thanks to a strong performance from Jake Gyllenhaal and smart direction from Denis Villeneuve, Enemy hits the mark as a tense, uncommonly adventurous thriller." 10.14 ALEX: 6 - I don't like the movie so that's hurting my ranking of it, but his performance in it is amazing and easily the best thing about the movie. DEE: 6 - An incredible thriller! Denis Villeneuve is amazing! Jake is fantastic in this movie! REI: 10 - I’m not gonna lie but it took me some time to like this film. I really like it nowadays. JC: 11 SOLA: 12 ANDY: 13 ELLIOTT: 13 - I haven't seen it but I'm assuming he looked f*ckable in it. 11. SAM HALL - THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW (2004) From Wikipedia: "The film depicts catastrophic climatic effects following the disruption of the North Atlantic Ocean circulation in a series of extreme weather events that usher in global cooling and lead to a new ice age. A major commercial success, the film became the sixth highest-grossing film of 2004." Jake Gyllenhaal plays the son of a paleoclimatologist seeking shelter in the New York City Public Library with a group of friends. According to Rotten Tomatoes, "A ludicrous popcorn flick filled with clunky dialogues, but spectacular visuals save it from being a total disaster." 10.14 SOLA: 1 ELLIOTT: 3 - I liked this movie a lot. It also helps that it has Emmy Rossum in it. Also Jake looked hot as f*ck in it, too. JC: 10 ALEX: 13 - I think we watched this in an assembly in high school once lol. REI: 14 - I’ve never watched this and I’m probably the only person that hasn’t but I’m also not too big on disaster movies. ANDY: 15 DEE: 15 - Not a good movie. QUENTIN BECK / MYSTERIO - SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME (2019) From IMDB: "Following the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever." According to Wikipedia, Jake Gyllenhaal plays "a former Stark Industries employee and holographic-illusions specialist who masquerades as a superhero from Earth-833 in the Multiverse. According to a review in TheWrap, Gyllenhaal "nails his character's earnestness but also clearly enjoys a few moments that let him channel every exasperated-sigh, I-just-want-to-get-this-right male diva director he's ever known." 7.71 ELLIOTT: 2 - This movie was already going to be one of my favourites because it's Spider-Man and I also want to bone Tom Holland (don't @ me), but adding in angry villain bearded Jake Gyllenhaal to make my clothes magically disappear? Schwing! SOLA: 5 JC: 6 ALEX: 9 - Why hasn't this been added to Disney+ already so I can watch it?! DEE: 10 - Mysterio was not featured enough in this movie for me to rank it any higher! ANDY: 11 REI: 11 - It was a fun movie and Jake did great as usual, is just not one of my top favorites from him. Still great. 6. BILLY HOPE - SOUTHPAW (2015) From IMDB: "As tragedy strikes him in his prime, famed boxer, Billy Hope, begins to fall into a great depression. Once the decision regarding the custody of his daughter is under question, Billy decides to get his life back on track by getting back into the ring." According to Rotten Tomatoes, "Jake Gyllenhaal delivers an impressively committed performance, but Southpaw beats it down with a dispiriting drama that pummels viewers with genre clichés." A review in the Philadelphia Inquirer says that Gyllenhaal's performance is "fierce and muscular, in and out of the ring." 7.71 SOLA: 2 JC: 5 REI: 6 - Is this movie amazing? No. Do I still love it? Yes. I just love Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams so much that I was bound to enjoy this no matter what. ELLIOTT: 8 - The movie was meh, but Jake could've gotten it seven ways til Sunday in it! ALEX: 10 - Never saw this, but we stan all Rachel McAdams movies! ANDY: 10 DEE: 13 - Probably the worst film in the finals, but the other two will receive some high rankings.
