::teeheebounce:: About Paula, not about him getting covid.

I hope Katy, Lionel, and the other idol staff don;t catch it!

Harry Connick, Jr. and Lauren Daigle are performing on Monday's episode as well. Three ABC winners who haven't returned to perform one of their own songs, but sure, invite two guest performers.

Maddie and Sam have been dropped by the label, so no way they get asked back. Laine, OTOH...

They’ve had winners perform who were no longer on the Idol label in the past.

Refresh my memory.

-Lee was dropped from his label during S10, and returned in S12 to perform a new song from his album that was released independently.

-David Cook hasn't been on RCA for years and still returned to perform afterward.

But in both those cases, wasn’t the current Idol label different than the one they originally signed with?  Hollywood Records is still the Idol label and they are the ones who dropped the ABC winners. It’s not as awkward to bring back another label’s rejects.

I think Lee was still part of 19 at the time. David was with them for a long time. Even though they were not on the original label, I would think being on 19's roster also matters.
