Can I just say I was following Worth The Wait when they were a duo for a while with just the two sisters (must’ve been after the 3rd sister left and later the mom joined) and they weren’t one ounce of country back then. I still think they lack authenticity even if there harmonies are pretty strong. I do think the youngest is the strongest vocalist of the three. I think the mom might be a weak point as she mainly does the lower harmonies I think and might not stand out as much.

So when all 3 sisters performed together they were called The Matthews Sisters. They sing ALL genres of music. I can tell you that what you see is what you get as far as being authentic to who they are. I’m very proud of my sister and nieces. It wasn’t their best performance but I can promise it gets way better... it’s

WORTH THE WAIT! 😉oh yeah, Mia (16) sings lead

Jacy(14) sings high harmony

Tara( ??😂) sings low harmony

I'm just waiting to see John on All By Myself, I think it can be one of the best performances of The Voice eheh

According to the sources he nailed it, so I'm looking forward to hear him sing that song. It could pretty much be his breakout moment.

Even without a source, I have no doubt that he will get us out of our seat with every high note, I think that will be the performance that will make him favorite this season eheh

They seriously need to ban that song from singing competitions

I mean, belty diva songs work better than jazz on the show, so it´s a smart move. Davon Fleming pretty much managed to survive as long as he did solely on that even if he kept doing worse and worse each week. I hope John returns to jazz in the playoffs, but it wouldn´t hurt if he gained more support after that KO.

I think any Celine Dion songs are just too hard to do. But unless if you are a vocal monster like Keisha Renee and Makenzie Thomas, you can't really do Celine decently. Its just too much to pull off.

Perhaps it was the wrong choice, for WTW. I believe Gwen or John could have been a better pick, although, maybe John would have dumped them during the battles. They are country, etc, but Gwen (until this point) had no country people whatsoever. She doesn't have too much background with harmonies, the way Kelly and John have, but in the end, The Voice have specialists at their disposal and Gwen have great ideas. I remember Rose singing God's Country, for instance, that was brilliant.

OK, I just watched the audition. It’s fine for what it is. I probably like it more than most of those who commented above. I’ve also listened to quite a few of their videos. They typically harmonize very well together. However, I don’t think any of them are strong enough to compete on the show on their own. That’s where it falls apart for me. I’ve never been a fan of duos and trios on this show. Having said that, I don’t take this as seriously as I once did, so who cares, I guess. Blake wants to see if he can win with a novelty act, and TPTB is looking for something different. Mia is the strongest of the three in both vocals and charisma. I wouldn’t be shocked if Blake managed to get them to the finale. They are most likely his TCO.

I haven’t had a chance to watch the audition yet, but I just wanted to say I doubt anyone believes you had multiple sources feeding you info that the rest of us didn’t have. 🙃

I do recall seeing Taryn > WTW in the feedback that was posted here. I’ll judge for myself when it airs.

Mia who?

That’s not my issue with it. I am so sick of the song, it’s so overused and frankly Celine has much better songs.

It’s a smart move imo because the audience will love it, but I wish he had chosen something less oversung.

Here are my full thoughts on Worth the Wait...

They have a ton of POTENTIAL but they need to get A LITTLE BIT STRONGER in the vocal department in order to impress me. NEVER HAVE I EVER supported a group on the Voice, but hey, maybe Worth the Wait will be the one to SWAY me to the “group-supporting” side. None of my comments above were intended to be MEAN so I’m sorry if they came across that way. 😅

Brilliant post is brilliant. Would you say it's WORTH IT? wIuzAnU.gif

Kelly Clarkson sang I surrender during American Idol with laryngitis. Gotta respect my girl. Weirdly enough, I thought the raspier vocals made the song even more dramatic, for me.

WTW will probably get the 2nd hour opening spot. Blake's TCO and "surprise" factor, I'm not convinced they can beat Jim and maybe even not Ian. But if they do somehow get the PV in the Playoffs, I would love for Blake to decide between his country bores, and maybe even pick Sid over Ian and Jim :ph34rwave:

Even if Taryn wins the KO, she was ditched by Blake already, and may not even get the CS if WTW gets the PV. So Sid would be the next best choice. Although I'm all for surprises, and would love for Taryn to just kick Blake's team's a** overall with getting that PV, to show he made the wrong move! (I can dream)

Manifesting a Taryn/Sid post-playoffs team for Blake (which is a massive pipe dream since there's a better chance of my tone-deaf vocals making it all the way through to S21 blinds than this being his final two for the season).
