This is exactly why i hate how the steals are done as every single year we hear how early the steals go but they'll never change it

exactly!!! i wish steals were done like the save/wildcard was done in tvaus season 8, with all battles over and *then* they do steals

Kelly picked a woman with tons of poise (seemingly) and experience over a frickin' inexperienced teenager because . . . country.  That alone would make me salty if I were Marisa.

she was against tanner, not a teenage girl??

I see that Minivan has found Idolforums!

I, wow, the number of people on here arguing that the reason in 19 seasons of the voice we have not had a single Black female winner (that had darker skin - this is known as colorism) is because none

what are you on about lmao

Care to explain this one?

John hasn’t worked with country singers and John seemed really enthusiastic about Tanner in his battle and he also stated that he fought really hard in the blinds but he knew he was going with Kelly because she mentioned her success with Jake Hoot

Marisa was against Tanner. I think you are thinking about Madeline, she was against Kelsie, not Marisa.

Apparently he has been really week throughout, which sucks, because of his interesting set of song choices: Bob Marley in the blinds, Labelle in the Battles, and Billie Eilish in the KOs. On paper that would be an artist that I would be intrigued in hearing, but the sources have not been kind to him. We´ll see how he does tonight, and strangely they chose him to be in the premiere as well.

Theory: Joseph's in the premiere because of his blinds choice - the coaches covered a Bob Marley song as their seasonal group performance, and Joseph sang Bob Marley in the blinds.

I would rather argue he was pushed this early because Blake pulled his cutout when fighting Kelly (obivously pushing for their rivalry) and because he's Team Gwen in the lives

That also helps, I low-key forgot about the cutout thing happening during his audition.

I’m happy with the T17 but why did Kelly choose Madeline C over Kelsie? Like seriously have u seen Kelsie’s range??? And Ryan Berg should have been in lives instead of Joseph. And Gwen should have stolen Marisa or Casme. And John should have kept his steal for Ryan.

From what I saw, sources mostly said he had issues with pitch (especially in his KO). We all know that pretaped performances are autotuned to some extent, so it'll be interesting to see how much (if any) of those pitch issues come through in the broadcast.

Per the sources it sounds like Kelsie’s performance wasn’t very strong and Madeline had fewer errors.

It also sounds like no one was pleased that Gwen stole Ben, while most agreed that Chloe deserved a steal.

Did you attend the taping? If you didn’t you should wait for the actual performances, some artists shock in the knockouts and others underperform , which is why some decisions/steals may seem shocking on paper but when we see/hear them they make more sense. (Ofc sometimes they don’t but in this case we don’t know yet)

I attended some of them but not the knockout ones.

I attended Taping 2 and Taping 4 of Blinds, and Taping 2 of Battles

So battles should be Nov 9, 10 and 16 if I´m correct, with Tuesday 10 being 1 hour or 2?
