CarrieOn’s Idol Redux

It’s early but I’d like to start my Season 18 Idol redux. If you’re curious, my past winners would’ve been Maddie Poppe and Jeremiah Harmon.

In my version, there is a Top 24, not even-gendered. I tried to limit it to people who were actually shown on the show. While I liked people like Bilaal Avaz pre-show, we only saw like five seconds of him singing in Hollywood Week.

Also, in my redux, Covid-19 has passed, so the performances will be live with a studio audience.

Here are my choices for the Top 24, who will be cut down to a Top 12.

I love Franklin’s song choice!  I remember it from when I was growing up.

This was a hard elimination. I really like Shannon and Amber but they both had slip-ups in Hawaii, so I decided to cut them here. In the end, I tried to create a Top 12 with strong and balanced singers.
