She was really good though I understand Kelly choosing Mandi. Someone like Mandi to my knowledge has never been on the show. And is less likely to get future opportunities than Anaya

After seeing how amazing she sung this, I definitely feel that Kelly made the wrong choice. Mandi is great, but she is not exciting. Not only is Anaya young, but she is super talented and has a huge following on Instagram. She could've done super well in the lives!

To be fair, this was sung in her bedroom. We have no idea how she sounded on stage. Anaya sounds great in that video but I'm giving Kelly the benefit of the doubt with this one.

 

Yes I know EVERYONE will be in a room at their house for the lives, but nobody knew that at time of filming.

Anaya's cover is really good and I don't think she gave a bad performance, but Mandi is much more experienced and her voice is so STRONG. I think Kelly made good decision there.

She sounds amazing, but maybe they montaged it because of the  original singer didn’t want her song being sung on tv?

It's the nature of the beast... good voices & talented people make the show, they don't & can't all stay.  Not always, but, often I think to myself, on The Voice, by the time we , actually see them, the Blinds, generally, it's a fairly decent level of talent, ability & appeal.  Ergo, quality is going to stay AND quality is going to go home, too.  For example, Anaya & her voice do not lack quality.  So much plays into a person's subjective choices including Coaches.

Delaney was not montaged and she sang that song in the KO's too, Brooke in the top 12, and Genesis in her Blind.

mandi T's version of my church was incredible; idk about votability or whatever (people say Anaya's social media numbers are high), but Mandi T is an objectively better vocalist. However, that doesn't always mean better singer, and we can't judge without seeing the performance.
