Thinking more about the new rules on save...

I realized it is kinda unfair for artists who received a steal and save, for example Todd Michael Hall.

 

If he could choose between Kelly's steal and Blake's save, he would certainly prefer Kelly since on her team he would face just one person in KO, against three in the save round given for public vote.

 

For me artists like him should opt between save and steal, letting the save for only the acts which didn't get a steal. Otherwise Blake hurt his chances by pressing his button earlier than Kelly.

Yes that the rules. Save are only availible to those who did not get a steal. Carson explain it. Before they get down the stair while he is still on the stage you can only steal so priority for the steal. Blake could not save before he get down the stair. When he got down the stair Blake could save. Kelly mess up if she just press during the steal periode Todd would have been stolen since Blake could not save while he is on top of the stair and Kelly has all the time to Steal. Also they usualy cut a lot for TV so he can stay up the stair for a long period and TV just broadcast a short time.
