Recommended Posts

THE SHAPE HAS ESCAPED

By a vote of 3-2, Zoey has been incorrectly identified as The Shape. The Shape will now cut five additional films and produce write-ups for all ten additional cuts that have been made. A new round will start after that. Previously made Shape cuts:

431. What Lies Beneath (2000 dir. by Robert Zemeckis)

432. Nightbreed (1990 dir. by Clive Barker)

433. Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (1972 dir. by Bob Clark)

434. Let's Scare Jessica to Death (1971 dir. by John Hancock)

435. Hide & Seek (2005 dir. by John Polson)

What Lies Beneath (2000 dir. by Robert Zemeckis)

What lies beneath? more like what is this movie? it's about a husband and wife who move into a haunted house and instead of believing his wife is experiencing the supernatural he chooses to believe she's going crazy! TYPICAL MAN! anyway it's all an attempt to gaslight his wife because he had an affair with his student. anyway this movie sounds not good.

Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (1972 dir. by Bob Clark)

Children shouldn't play with dead things! Good moral of the story! In this case the children are a theater group and the dead things are zombies.

Let's Scare Jessica to Death (1971 dir. by John Hancock)

Jessica was probably scared to death by this mediocre movie.

I actually saw What Lies Beneath and liked it well enough. Granted, I was like 12 soooooo yeah

It’s not a bad movie, but it’s a very 2000-ish thriller.

Hide & Seek (2005 dir. by John Polson)

I can't believe this movie lasted in the rankdown so long! Did everybody just forget about it like I did? Hide and Seek is a 2005 horror film starring a past his prime Robert De Niro and a young Dakota Fanning. At best you can call this film not good. My cat just jumped up to cuddle with me because she knew I would need comfort while writing a write-up on this awful movie. Anyway, Robert De Niro is David and Dakota Fanning plays Emily who is David's daughter. After his wife/Emily's mother appears to commit suicide, David and Emily move to a new house and Emily invents an imaginary friend named Charlie. Turns out Charlie is actually David and he is a murderous monster who killed his wife after seeing her make out with a guest at a party. I mean, not great but also probably not deserving of murder. David has dissociative identity disorder and when he's David he doesn't recall being "Charlie." For SOME ABSURD REASON this movie has FIVE (5) ALTERNATE ENDINGS. WHY.

If they stick around long enough, those prices drop pretty dramatically.

Sometimes good deals/discount codes are floating around.
