Elliott
They’ll adjust up once DVR viewings are counted, but it’s comparable to last season’s 8.65 - especially considering last season premiered a month later.

Carrie_On
The hiatus doomed this season. I think it’ll remain fractional next week, then pick up for the finale because it’s the live coast to coast broadcast.
Elliott
The two clip shows probably caused a lot of people to tune out and not be aware that the “live” shows were happening.
holinessss
it's kinda crazy bc despite lower viewership, idol's abc-era has arguably launched 2 up and coming stars with gabby/alejandro from each of their 2 seasons is idol's fanbase/viewers, though smaller, just that loyal? (gabby/alejandro are also veryyy different, so it's not like idol viewers are only backing certain contestants)
