Ugh... Jaida only won because of BLM she is flawless... it's so unfair to other queens who aren't literal goddesses sent from heaven to give us a gasp of oxygen during the worst year ever

I watched an episode live for the first time this season! Really enjoyed everything, I thought they all handled it as well as it could go under the circumstances. Crystal's barfing bird and farting pinata though... wow. Instantly iconic.

That was a really good finale considering how they did it! I enjoyed it a lot.

 

Gigi - What a terrible finale for her. She repeated everything she did in her lip-sync for the win in her lip-sync from home. The reveals in the final lip-sync were just forgettable. This season really built her up for an almighty fall in the last few weeks.

 

Jaida - That first look was absolutely hideous. It reminds me of Phoenix’s look in season three. Then I found her lip-sync from home to be quite lazy. I thought she was a better dancer than she showed in that and the hair was constantly in her face. She definitely brought it back with her final lip-sync and played it how she would’ve had she been on a stage. Her shining moment for her and I think that created the push she needed to win.

 

Crystal - THE SINGLE MOST ICONIC LIP-SYNC EVER! It was absolutely amazing and so creative. I was worried about her going in to this since we’ve only really seen Crystal lip-sync against someone, once. She definitely stood her ground and the fact she delivered the most memorable moment we’ve had in seasons was amazing. 
 

I didn’t think I’d enjoy the finale as much as I did but they did well to pull that together under the circumstances. It shows how underwhelming American Idol and The Voice were when this wasn’t any less enjoyable just because it was shot from their homes. I’m not quite sure where I’d rank Jaida in the winners or overall as I haven’t been super impressed with her at any point. I’m gonna rank the winners to see.

Wow still so happy. Having only watched live since Season 9, my #1 faves each season usually get to the final and just fall short (Shea, Asia, A’Keria...and Shangela and Monique with All-Stars). And that’s nothing against the winners of those seasons because many of them were all super deserving and all were great! But I kinda went into this season fearing the same would happen again and resigned myself too early to Jaida being the one who just loses out. I’m so glad that she slayed the entire season and is totally deserving of this win  That Ciara lip-sync...she did THAT!

 

Gigi and Crystal are both super deserving finalists, too! I think they both need a little time to grow and in a couple years they’ll be at an insane level. Crystal’s lip-sync was absolutely nuts...I don’t know still what I thought of it  But with more money and experience I think she’ll slay All-Stars when she gets the chance to. I think Gigi’s done so well for someone so young but definitely has a long way to go! I thought the concept for her lip-sync was cute, although I thought she could have done more with it and not relied as such on the setting.

 

Yay for Heidi winning Miss C!  Another star in the making. Her All-Stars run is going to be so great when it inevitably happens.

 

I really enjoyed the finale overall and thought, with the exception of Ru’s look, they all looked amazing and put together a great show!

Also apparently Jaida was a last-minute addition to the season, Nicky mentioned something last night about how she had a week less to prepare than everyone else and people weren’t sure if she was talking about the finale. But then Jaida references something about how she almost wasn’t supposed to be there, and I believe there had been rumours before that she was a later addition. Amazing how she still slayed as much as she did with less time

New rule being added: Jaida Essence Hall is not eligible for elimination at any point in this rankdown, and all final rankings must include her in their Top 5.

I don't know if anyone's heard about the Gigi drama, but allegedly, she filmed Take on Me on a sound stage in LA instead of at home like the queens were told to. Ru had to reprimand her and they redid it at their house. But still... yikes.

I still like her, but her social media this past week has been a MESS (like her quipping "I can't breathe" about the finale excitement and then realizing how it sounded) and then this coming to light has made me even more glad she didn't win a politically-themed season.

Super happy with Jaida winning - she killed the 3 performances. Loved Crystal too, Gigi was just there for me - I think Gigi would have a Valentina-esque run on All-Stars if I am being honest. 

Overall ranking of the season - I really enjoy each queen in their own way.

1. Jackie Cox - I just love her
2. Heidi N' Closet - I absolutely love her, a star in the making!
3. Crystal - unique and surprised me
4. Jan - robbed. ton to showcase
5. Jaida - Flawless winner.
6. Nicky - My french queen; would love to see her on all-stars  
7. Gigi - she's here because when I think about her, nothing really excited me.
8. Rock M. Sakura - eliminated way too early, didn't get to know her enough to have her any higher though.
9.  Brita - she was hit or miss but I feel like she would have lots to show on all-stars. And her read was iconic.
10. Widow - I do like Widow but there's something not connecting with me.
11. Aiden - girl has ton of potential especially after her look on the finale.
12. Dahlia - yeah, do not care.

And on top of that, the Britney tweet a few weeks back. I don’t think she’s meant badly with her tweets but she definitely needs to learn and grow. Alongside her comments about privilege and politics, I hope she reflects more on her position and influence now, and learns from it!

Crystal's probably one of the biggest jumps I've had on Drag Race. I didn't really like her at the start and then I was living for her at the end.  Jaida and Heidi being the winner/MC is what we deserve

my rankings!  Why did they remove Jan's last name on the show?

 

1.  Crystal Methyd - I found her super odd at the start, grew to love her

2.  Jaida Essence Hall - 

3.  Jackie Cox - good journey, thought she should have been in the finale.  

4.  Jan  - robbed, should have won that Madonna number, elimination was B/S

5.  Gigi Goode - performed very well, couldnt connect with her personality

6.  Heidi N. closet - annoying name changes, I liked her personality.  Didn't like the edit that made her seem uneducated.

7.  Rock M. Sakura - Cutie!  Want to see her come back.

8.  Nicky Doll - also cutie, enjoyed watching her.

10.  Widow Von'Du - unmemorable outside of week 1

Jan Sport and Britta Filter are copyrighted brand names, so the show can't use them unless they want to put a sh*tton of licensing fees.  It's why Gigi had to go as Maria the Robot rather than Sophia the Robot for Snatch Game, or why whenever someone does a character for Snatch Game, they say they're the actress (i.e. DeLa doing Maggie Smith when she was just doing her character in Downtown Abbey.)
