I gave them so-sos for the first two, and didn't like at all for the third.  In my little review, I said the first two were ok...but I would not buy their CD listening to the samples.

Nashville-based Triple Tigers Records has signed singer-songwriter Cam, in an unprecedented partnership with RCA Records New York, as the two labels partner to release Cam’s sophomore album, due to release this fall. Cam’s single “Classic” will release to country radio July 17.

“When I heard Cam’s new music, I was moved and inspired,” said Triple Tigers’ Norbert Nix. “She has an identifiable, world class voice and her songs are crafted with experience, emotion and strength. She is at the apex of her creative journey and it’s an honor to work with an artist of her caliber and to partner with our good friends at RCA Records New York to showcase her talents to the world.”

“This upcoming album is the best music I’ve ever made,” says Cam. “It deserves the best partner to take it out into the world – and that’s what I’m getting with Norbert and the team at Triple Tigers. Their passion, drive and ingenuity are exactly what I was looking for. This is gonna be such a fun ride.”

Cam is the fourth artist to join the Triple Tigers Records roster, alongside Scotty McCreery (who has earned three No.1 country singles and saw his single “This Is It” reach Platinum status), Russell Dickerson (who has also earned three No. 1 country singles and a Platinum single with “Every Little Thing,” as well as group Gone West.

I've always liked Cam -- her voice and her style!  And she'd make a great opener for Scotty and perhaps even a duet partner...That said, it's already taking TT too long to get Scotty up the charts. Hmm....

Note:  Scotty had TWO platinum singles off his Seasons Change album -- 5MM (double platinum) and This Is It!

My thoughts exactly..with the hiring of now 2 new artists Gone West and now Cam..hope their business  expands to accommodate the demands needed for each.

Cam and Russell are releasing new singles and Albums ..hoping that Scotty doesnt have to wait for his 'turn'!!

I like Cam & her sound.

Russell didn't release a new single. It's a promo song for the new album & not going to be released to radio (could be later). Think about when Scotty released those other songs such as "Home In My Mind" & others while he still had FMM officially as his single & released to radio. This is a common practice to release promo songs to help gain buzz for the album. I expect a new Gone West single to radio soon since of the survey.

I think we could see a new single in late summer as previously stated. However, the album might depend how long the single takes to climb the charts. Usually labels like to release albums when the artist's single is Top 10 or 20. If that's the case, I'm not expecting the new album until probably late this year or early 2021 at the earliest.

We had discussed the fact that Home Sweet was just a promo drop earlier.  However, RD still has Love You Like I Did to get up the charts.

Big signing here. These kinda record deals aren’t too common. Cam signs with Triple Tigers Records but remains with RCA Records out of NYC. Triple Tigers will promote her songs to country radio. Her upcoming single, “Classic,” goes to radio July 17th.

That's great publicity for Jimmie's new CD -- on which they are all featured.

Looks like they are getting out of their cars with two spaces between cars, one for tailgating.  Good setup.

Brad Paisley show in St Louis last night

Brad Paisley launched last night's drive-in concert series with a bang.

On Friday night (July 10), the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre was packed as hundreds of fans gathered in St. Louis, Missouri, to watch the country legend perform some of his greatest hits during the outdoor experience. What’s more, the 47-year-old crooner not only performed a number of his own songs but also treated fans to a special surprise when he brought on fellow country superstar Carrie Underwood for a virtual duet.

Live Nation kicked off the drive-in concerts in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, allowing concertgoers to watch their favorite musicians perform while practicing social distancing. Attendees will have their own private “tailgating zones” by their car and are also allowed to bring their own food and drinks as well as use their mobile phones and QR codes to order food and beverages in case they forget to bring their own.

Paisley was one of three acts scheduled to play at the venue this weekend along with El Monstero performing Saturday (July 11) and St. Louis-bred rapper Nelly playing Sunday (July 12).

Hours after the event ended, Paisley thanked fans for the amazing turnout with an image of the packed parking lot. “Thank you St Louis for this incredible night,” he wrote on Instagram. “It’s not lost on us how big a blessing it is to play music in these times. You were amazing.”

    Stubbs

Last night (7/21), longtime evening host EDDIE STUBBS announced his retirement from RYMAN HOSPITALITY PARTNERS Country/Americana WSM-A/NASHVILLE effective WEDNESDAY, JULY 29th. STUBBS, a walking encyclopedia of Country music knowledge, will also be stepping down from his position as an announcer for the co-owned GRAND OLE OPRY. The station will be celebrating him on the air over the next two weeks.

In an INSTAGRAM post, the station wrote, “EDDIE has been a part of our family and heard on our airwaves for more than 25 years. We’re grateful for the knowledge, wisdom and passion he has shared with fans Country music near and far. While we are sad to see him go, we look forward to celebrating EDDIE’s storied radio career over the next two weeks. Join us as we revisit archived interviews with legendary artists, past studio visits from some of your favorite Country music stars, and much more. Thank you EDDIE, for keeping the light on for NASHVILLE radio!”

WSM will soon announce plans for the 7p-midnight shift. Until then, JEFF HOAG, who has worked with STUBBS over the years, will serve as host.

STUBBS came to NASHVILLE in 1995 to play fiddle in the band of Country legend KITTY WELLS and her husband, JOHNNIE WRIGHT, and a week later was hired to work at WSM part time. He began hosting the evening show in 1996. He won the CMA Large Market Broadcast Personality of the Year Award in 2002, and was inducted into the COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME in 2012.

STUBBS said, “I have had an extremely blessed 25 years at WSM, and as the third-longest tenured announcer in the GRAND OLE OPRY’s history. The experiences and friendships have allowed me to live a lot of dreams. Needless to say, I will be forever grateful.”

WSM Director of Content and Programming J. PATRICK TINNELL said, “EDDIE’s talent, service and dedication are the stuff of legends and are forever part of WSM and GRAND OLE OPRY history.”

OPRY VP and Executive Producer DAN ROGERS added, “EDDIE has been a great friend to the OPRY, to the OPRY’s artists, and to listeners around the world. I have no doubt that students of the OPRY and of Country music will for years turn to his recorded conversations with legends including MERLS HAGGARD, RAY PRICE, CONNIE SMITH, MARTY STUART and so many more to learn about their careers and the era in which EDDIE has made such an impact at the OPRY and on WSM.”
