20. Jonas Brothers - “Only Human:”  "Sucker" was a surprisingly good and fun song. This like fake reggae song is not really my thing. 

19. Halsey - “Without Me:” Oh Halsey. 

18. Ariana Grande - “break up with your girlfriend, I’m bored:” Despite being a casual fan of Ariana Grande, I feel like I completely missed this song. I don't really feel like I'm missing out by not really having heard it this year though. 

17. Normani - “Motivation:” I really hope that 2020 Normani continues her breakout because she's been on and producing some jams. I like this song and agree that the music video is great with the choreo and the iconic basketball gif. 

- I believe TUN came out in either late October or early November 2018. So yea then but it was still growing on me into 2019 and i loved it more in that year. But yeah I do allow songs to crossover if they either have massive radio airplay or if they grow on me into te new year. But yayy glad you still love tihs and think it's a great song. And whoaa calling this Ariana's best song. It's not quite there for me and never will be but I do lve it.

- Ooh.... I actually found Young Thug kinda annoying on this although his part has grown on me. LMAOOO YOU asking this too.  I'm not a Post stan but I do love a number of his songs from the last 2-2 and a half years. So taht explains it.

27. Travis Scott - “Sicko Mode” (feat. Drake): This song is f*cking fantastic. Did you have it on your 2018 list and I got mad at you for it being so low????? In 2019 this placement seems fine but I've seen how many Post Malone songs you have over this so obligatory TOO LOW because of that. Also, again I love Swae Lee who is uncredited in the song but also did some of the songwriting. 

26. 5 Seconds Of Summer - “Easier:” I'm like 28 which means that I am too old for 5SOS and I skipped this because of that. 

25. Lizzo - “Good As Hell:” I'm surprised this song became such a hit in 2019 just because I heard it when it first came out and Lizzo was like a nobody. And then I heard it on the radio and saw it was charting and was like "wait, what" and honestly I shouldn't have been as surprised as I was because this song is a lot of fun. 

24. Lewis Capaldi - “Someone You Loved:” To be very shallow, Lewis Capaldi is what you get if you mixed Ed Sheeran with current Paul McCartney. And I think he knows that as well. Also this song was apparently inspired by a Love Island UK woman and she's so hot and honestly I can see why he'd write a sad song after breaking up with her (well I think she may have cheated? IDK). He's got a great voice but I'm just not that into this song. 

23. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - “Shallow:” Somehow I feel both UGH and GREAT about this song. I think I just don't like Bradley Cooper so I really have to fight hard against that instinct to appreciate this song for being really good. Stefanie and Bradley have great chemistry.

- Yayy for loving Bad Bunny and this song. It's great how popular this got in the US.

- I knew you would love Sicko Mode.  LMAOOO you bringing this up but yessss this is all true. I think I had this at #106 or something? But ugh I'm sorry there but i got into this really late in 2018, but grew to love it properly in 2019. Sorry for my lateness.  Ooh I can't apologize for having Post songs over this Travis song, it's just how I feel haha. Ooooh Swae Lee is on this? I didn't know or remember but ugh he should be credited on this. 

- LOL I don't seek out for 5SOS's music. Bu I heard this a lot on the radio and grew to love it there sooooo it's on here and i got no regrets.  

- Omggggg whoaa you're one of the few people that knew about GAH back in 2016?   I am shook. But omggg i would proably react the same way as you if i knew about Lizzo and this song for years and hearing it suddenly getting popular. It deserves all of its success in 2019.  

- omggg this opening sentence. I get the Ed thing but never thought this with Paul. Interestingg. WHOA I did not know about the inspiration of this song but wow that's crazy. Interested in seeing who this girl is though. :shifty: And funny because I remember LIUS using this for my favorite couple on that show. Aww sad you're not into this but at least you think Lewis has a great voice.

- omggg your conflicting thoughts on this song. Aww curious why you dislike Bradley? It's easier for me to put personal feelings aside vs. my thoughts of the song as it is - as i just focus on my love for teh song. At least you can admit this song is really good and that Bradley & Gaga have great chemistry.

Okay, go see. Oooh okay. Yeah, I was cutting down the recap by going through the top list and listening to things so... I noticed all those mismatches. Me too. lol "MOM." Hmm no, not sure those are it. Hmm. Okay, I see. Why surprised about that one? It sounded fun. Huh, you can't comment on that song not being linked without spoiling?  I try. Also surprised you didn't include Ciara's Greatest Love (on either list) and maybe more... need to check.

 

 

10. Panic! At The Disco - “High Hopes:” Well, I was way off here.  But wait, let's see what I said. "Don't know about High Hopes. This could be way too high. It's probably more like #8, but the song was huge, so maybe not." Okay, my thoughts weren't so bad then. omg where did I rank this last year? I remember it being a favorite of mine then, and then it kept being played in 2019 and was like it wouldn't go away.  But I didn't mind with this one. The energy on this is so hyped up. It's so good. HIGH HIGH HOPES.   "if my love for this song wasn’t split into two years and if it was way more 2019, I’m certain this would have been even higher in my Top 10" Interesting. lol calling it being in your own Top 10 a huge honor. I don't know how you could ever not care for this, but yes, that chorus! It is a true anthem and the meaning is so positive and uplifting. "Aww Brendon is such a mama’s boy" But...  "Aww Brendon is such a mama’s boy from those two songs I posted in this set. "  The two songs were originally in the same set? Do tell. I know and love all these parts too. Gotta have HIGH HIGH HOPES.  

 

9. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - “Señorita:”  Oh, I had this two spots off. But omg I was so excited they finally did another song together and I hope they'll do more too. But this was not at all what I expected and does sound much more Camila's style with the Latin flair.  It works for Shawn too though and I love what they both bring to it. "Camila does sound quite on the chorus"  I know and love the parts you're naming except... well, one part that you'll find out about later. Camila sounds great, but I also love the more laid-back sound on Shawn's verse. Wow it works so well. I like how their vocals build up near the end too and their voices go really well together.  "I do think this is a better video than Shawn’s other video" lol.  Wow, the views are crazy.

 

8. Post Malone & Swae Lee - “Sunflower:” One spot off with this... darn. I did not expect this so high at all. I did hear this on the radio, and I guess often, but I don't feel like as often as other Post Malone songs... or maybe I just always changed the station. I did hear it a lot. I guess it also has that more R&B pop driven side to it, but this never appealed to me. Wow, this other guy sings so much more of the song it seems, or at least to start with. " She wanna ride me like a cruise. " Well wow. Didn't need to know that. Hmm I can't really find the catchiness, as the chorus seems so ~chill and well the whole song is on the same level. I don't mind it, but it doesn't do much for me. I can't quite figure out what they're saying.  But the video does look kind of cute. 

 

7. Billie Eilish - “bad guy:” "Maybe this is the most surprising song to make my Top 10 year-end list? I don’t know but you all can let me know. I know Denise has been predicting and waiting forever for this song to show up soooo here it goes." lol I haven't necessarily been waiting, it just fit lots of clues and I had no idea where it would rank, so I would guess it. I'm not tooo surprised because I got a better idea of what you thought of Billie earlier on in this, but prior to the list, I did not know and could have seen you going either way.  Like what you said here: "Heck I am even sure I thought “ew this song is weird. I don’t get it”" I could see that too, but this song did blow up and if I had to guess, I would got more with you loving it, or at least it growing on you, as that's how it usually goes. Also, my prediction... "I can see this Billie song pretty much anywhere from bottom 3 to top 3. " Well, it is in the middle there, at least. I was two spots off. Anyway, yes the beat of this is sick and I love the dark, yet funky, sound of it too.   I don't know what she says in the verses either, but I think we have the same main favorite parts... with that pre-chorus and the fun music. YES both. And do do do do do do do do   Why are you shiftying her lyrics? She's too young for this. And that end part is a bridge? It becomes a totally different song, as Wally would like to say... except you didn't, but it really does here. It's so interesting and I don't even know. But yes, this is addicting.

Yesss to these comments and it ors sound more like a Camila song - which is fair as their first song together sounded more like a Shawn song. It does. Omgg I don’t know what I was trying to say. Maybe sensual was the word? Oooh except one part?? Yesss Denise confirming this will be on her list! Even though  I knew it would be haha. Yesss at all f this that you love here! I’m glad and do love their vocals and the build up on this song. Lol oops, sorry but i was just saying haha. It is!

But yeah this song is more R&B/Pop driven so I had hopes you would have liked this but sad to know that isn’t the case. Aww. Yeah it’s a joint song but it does feel more like a Swae Lee song. 10. Panic! At The Disco - “High Hopes:” Yeah definitely 2018 and I got tired of it quickly but it is definitely catchy and one of Brandon's best. I don't mind listening to it every so often these days.

Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - “Señorita:” Well damn, I had a feeling this would be your #1 but now I'm convinced 'Truth Hurts" is.  I always thought this was Shawn's song because how it's listed for me was like, " Señorita" - Shawn Mendes f/Camilla Cabello.    Anyways, I love this!  It's so hot and catchy, I played the hell out of this now, I worn it out. lol  This blew up in the summertime. lol I love Shawn's part too at, "Sapphire Moonlight.. Tequila sunrise..".

8. Post Malone & Swae Lee - “Sunflower:” This song blew up too but I never was a fan.  This song made me recognize who Post Malone is.

Billie Eilish - “bad guy:” hhahhahha  well you might be the biggest Billie fam here, it doesn't help that a lot of people have left too.  Yess, this song made me recognize Billie.  It was the only song I liked from her now, 'everything i wanted' is growing on me.  And the video is creepy weird.  I wonder where Billie gets her imagination from.

58. Saweetie - “My Type:” NHT. Hmmm...This isn't really my cup of tea. I don't think it's bad. It's catchy with a good beat to it, but I don't think I would seek it out to listen to again.

57. Taylor Swift - “Lover:” I know this song! Hmm...I don't know if I qualify as one of her stans, but I have bought all her albums. So my answer to your question is that I like this song, but it was a grower for me. And I see you say it was the same for you. This is a charming song, and I like the arrangement and Taylor's delivery. I think the fact that the album has a lot more upbeat songs makes it easier for me to appreciate this song for what it is. It's a nice, pleasant love song.

56. Sam Smith - “How Do You Sleep?:” I know of this song, but I'm not too familiar with it. As I'm hearing it now, I do find it enjoyable. The chorus is actually quite an earworm, and Sam sounds great. I wonder why I didn't hear this more than I did. I guess I just didn't seek it out, but I can say I'm a fan of this song now. I agree it's another great one from Sam.

55. Blanco Brown - “The Git Up:” Lol I know this song. Even though I haven't sought it out on my own to listen to, I do find it an amusing and catchy song whenever I do hear it. It's just a feelgood song, and kudos to it on all the success it got. And yes, I remember the Ciara version from that New Year's special too.

54. NF - “Time:” Here's a song that almost made it onto my list, but it ultimately got cut. I was hoping it would grow on me since I like his songs "Let You Down" and "Lie," but it never reached that level for me. But as I'm hearing it now, I probably could've still made room for it if I ranked more than 100 songs on my list. So yes, I do like this song. The parts when he's singing are my favorite, especially the other part of the chorus you mention in your write-up when he repeats the title lyric. So yeah, good song. It's just taking time to grow on me...and that pun was not intended.

53. The Chainsmokers - “This Feeling” (feat. Kelsea Ballerini): I remember this song from last year, so I didn't realize it could qualifiy for 2019 too. I agree that Kelsea sounds pretty here, and the song does have a catchy feel to it. This is another song that hasn't really grown on me yet, but I do get the appeal. And lol at how the lyric video has way more views than the music video. That's odd.

Anyway, this was a catchy song and as someone who watches Mean Girls religiously, I was a fan of the music video. It even has Jonathan Bennett, aka Allison's best partner on DWTS. But it's not my favourite song on the album.

21. Post Malone - “Goodbyes” (feat. Young Thug): honestly just shove a knife through my ears.

20. Jonas Brothers - “Only Human:” Catchy song.

19. Halsey - “Without Me:" Not a Halsey fan either, but at least she isn't as terrible as Ed Sheeran or Post Malone.

18. Ariana Grande - “break up with your girlfriend, I’m bored:” This actually is my favourite song from Ariana's album, so I'm glad you included it here. It's just so fun and catchy.

17. Normani - “Motivation:” Better than everything she came up with as apart of Fifth "Harmony," so there's that. In all seriousness, I actually like this song and the music video was cool. So not only is her dancing better than Ally's, but so is her solo output as well.

55. Blanco Brown - “The Git Up:” Lol I know this song. Even though I haven't sought it out on my own to listen to, I do find it an amusing and catchy song whenever I do hear it. It's just a feelgood song, and kudos to it on all the success it got. And yes, I remember the Ciara version from that New Year's special too.

54. NF - “Time:” Here's a song that almost made it onto my list, but it ultimately got cut. I was hoping it would grow on me since I like his songs "Let You Down" and "Lie," but it never reached that level for me. But as I'm hearing it now, I probably could've still made room for it if I ranked more than 100 songs on my list. So yes, I do like this song. The parts when he's singing are my favorite, especially the other part of the chorus you mention in your write-up when he repeats the title lyric. So yeah, good song. It's just taking time to grow on me...and that pun was not intended.

53. The Chainsmokers - “This Feeling” (feat. Kelsea Ballerini): I remember this song from last year, so I didn't realize it could qualifiy for 2019 too. I agree that Kelsea sounds pretty here, and the song does have a catchy feel to it. This is another song that hasn't really grown on me yet, but I do get the appeal. And lol at how the lyric video has way more views than the music video. That's odd. 

- Aww yeah I get that about My Type not being your cup of tea. I’m glad you can get and find it catchy. Understandable comments.

- Ooh thanks for all of your insight regarding “Lover.” With you having all of her albums, I would consider you a big fan - but yeah it’s good knowing tis insight.
