But ooo lol yay you're welcome and glad you are in the mod of watcin taht movie. I never saw 13 Going on 30 either but I did read it was referenced. I would think soo? Not entirely sure. - It was such a short and rusehd season but do think you would like that Adam too. - Oooh surprised you never heard of Juice before until now. But yayy glad you are liking it. And whoa I never thought of that Whitney song comparison to this. - Omgggg your shocked reaction to HLMIMI's ranking here. I haven't been the biggest Panic! fan for a long time but I've grown to really like them/him in the last few years. - I'm happy Ellie returned back to te music scene too. Oooh I think i can picture the song you are talking about but then again i kinda don't know. Yeah I think CTM was released in late 2018 but i know it more and heard it more in 2019. Yah I was surprised you didn't put it on your main list as it is very 2019 to me. - Of course you would like the Toronto line. Glad you love Shawn's falsetto and how that stands out to you. Wait whatttttt? TELL ME what you think my #1 is? I wanna know what you'er thinking. :shifty: OH Shoot, I meant smiley. Sorry! I might watch 13 this weekend now. lol OHH I see. I don't know, maybe, maybe not. No because "Truth Is" keeps on trending! Yeah, me neither, till now. lol this year has made me into a Panic fan, they have some good songs in 2019. No, it's an old song, was released a few years ago. This one; I forgot that Shawn was Canadian for a sec. lol Nah, I'll wait. I'm probably wrong anyways. Boo, "Look what God gave Her" should've made the list, at least I thought it's be something you'd like. And "So Am I" is still too new, even I am just starting to get into it. That Tones song has blown up. lol but I'm not into it.. yet.

Why you making that face there regarding Truth Hurts But yeah Juice was released first and TH was the song that really made Lizzo blow up although TH did get her recognized. Ahh. Ahh yay that’s really cool! Oh wait…. where did my comments go regarding this Ellie song you’re referring to cause my comments looked like it was all about Close to Me. Oh wait I see it. OOOH Something In th Way You Move. Yeah I like this song and I had it on my list a few yeas ago like about around in the 80s. Oooh yes he is. Boooo. :’( Ooh awww sorry. I didn’t hear that song enough but you will certainly see it on Denise’s list for sure haha. Ahh I get this with SAI. Oooh lol yeah the Tones and I song is an interesting one to me. I didn’t like it for awhile but it did grow a little on me. Not sure if it will grow anymore on me but hmmm, we’ll see.

I didn’t think of it coming across differently. - Lol but usually when I mention you in songs it’s only once. How many mentions did you want? Oooh hmmm I read it differently from you but hmmm maybe. - Oooh but what was that other song then? Oooh lol I did that for a song I didn’t even know you liked so lol me but you’re welcome. But it’s wrong information. - Ahhhh I seee at this. Yeah that can kinda annoy me for last.fm purposes and sometimes I do it to the main lead artist and sometimes i change it. With this song, I have Ellie as the lead artist with Diplo and Swae Lee as features. Soo I change it up too. Ooh lol yess I knew it was LMLYD. I was just teasing there. Kinda but you liked this more than I thought you would. Ooh ok. - Well done on thinking and knowing this here. Awww youu. Awww yeah you gave it major props on your list last year for sure. Awww alright and yess you did, thank you. Ooh is it? I had no clue but oh gosh wow, I’m sorry. Omgggg don’t doubt yourself. I can’t reveal anything yet but have confidence in your guessing which is always better than mine. Awwww. I do. Oooh yeah I feel the same way with your lists too so I get that. Omggg what? Why? Please don’t feel sad at all. Yesss!! Okay, I get that. It does because you agreed with a comment that says something very different. But okay. - Hey. I only said that because you just said you mentioned me a lot, but it was only twice. I was and am also sad, but fine. You read me saying "hot" differently? Well, it is a lot of the time. - Probably Dancing's Not a Crime. I also had Dying in LA, but DNAC is the upbeat one. Well, you left wrong info before, like about Meant to Be being the first country song in your Top 10, even though that was very wrong and I quoted proof. If you refused to change that, you don't need to change this. - This is usually what I do, but also depends who the singer is. Oh okay. Oh? You thought I'd like this less? Hmm. - Yes. I DID. You're welcome. I feel so. Well okay. Ah okayy. For lots of reasons, but okay again. From the close calls recap, I think these are my favorites: AJ Mitchell - “All My Friends” AJ Mitchell - “Slow Dance” (feat. Ava Max) Ally Brooke - “Higher” Andy Grammer - “Don’t Give Up On Me” Anthony Ramos - “Mind Over Matter” Ava Max - “So Am I” Ciara - “Melanin” (feat. Lupita Nyong’o, Ester Dean, City Girls & La La) Kelly Clarkson - “Broken & Beautiful” Lauv - “f**k, i’m lonely” (feat. Anne-Marie) Lil’ Dicky - “Earth” Mabel - “Mad Love” NOTD, Felix Jaehn, and Captain Cuts - So Close (feat. Georgia Ku) OneRepublic - “Rescue Me” P!nk - “Walk Me Home” Thomas Rhett - “Look What God Gave Her” Zedd & Kehlani - “Good Thing” However, these ones were listed with links and not on the recap?: Bebe Rexha - “Not 20 Anymore:” BTS - “Make It Right” (feat. Lauv): Camila Cabello - “Cry For Me:” John Legend - “Preach:” I like those ones too. Many of these songs I hadn't heard yet, but liked on the bit I listened to here, so will have to download. Where have I heard this Mind Over Matter song??! It's going to make me crazy. Also... Walk Me Home is a song I expected on your list, but gave up at the end because I didn't see it *that* high. Still confused about Eastside. Also, Blackbear - “Hot Girl Bummer” is listed on the recap, but not linked above.

Ooh twice is more than usual and more than I mention people in my write-ups as i usually do so once. omgg I’m soo confused. Lol yeahhh I did. Ooh okay. - Oooooh wow okay, I would guess it would be that song. You would know better than me. Omgggg lmaoo you remembering this with Meant to Be. Dang wow me….. you got me down like whoa. Okay I’m fine with leaving it. But you wanted me to change the MTB info but then not this one. I’m leaving it. - Oooh really? How does it depend on the singer, I wonder? I thought you would like what less - IICHY? No I don’t remember saying that. Yay!! Awww but you have done soooo amazing with your guesses. Be proud of yourself like I am of you. Oo awww noooo, Denise. Gah I am sorry. Yayyy let’s see the songs you like! :w00t: Oooh yayness for all of this. Omggg Ohh myy, I didn’t realize this but oh wow. OK those latter songs were some of my last minute inclusions and hmmm I guess I didn’t edit those in properly. I thought I did my main list and then copied it and then added links but ughh I missed some. Dangg me. Uayy glad you like these songs and discovered new songs you like from listening for the first time! omgg your MOM comments. Well Anthony Ramos performed this on Ellen and on the Dick Clark New Years’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest special - so many from there? Ah I get this on the P!nk song. I do like that one but it didn’t grow enough on me to make the list. Oooh I am surprised you listed So Close but yay. Oooh . LMAOOOO OOPS, another mistake you spotted. I don’t know how to comment without ~spoilng, but I put that on the wrong section. Wow you are great at finding these things I miss.
*Wallace
Time to kick off this Top 10!!! 10. Panic! At The Disco - “High Hopes” Kicking off the Top 10 is Panic! At The Disco big hit “High Hopes,” coming in at #10. I know many people consider this a 2018 song, and I certainly do too. However, I believe the song was really peaking around the end of 2018/beginning of 2019, and I actually heard this song more throughout 2019, so it’s eligible to be on here. I do believe if my love for this song wasn’t split into two years and if it was way more 2019, I’m certain this would have been even higher in my Top 10…. but still Top 10 is a huge honor, and the very first time this has happened for Panic! At The Disco on my list! :w00t: I think this was one of those songs I mildly like or didn’t care the first few times i listened to it. I don’t remember, which but this did grow really quickly on me an I had quite an obsession period with this song too where I could not get enough of it. I love how high energy and anthemic this song is - and it’s just such a feel good song. It’s one of those songs to certainly get you pumped. The song opens up with the chorus which I do really LOVE! It goes: Had to have high, high hopes for a living. Shooting for the stars when I couldn't make a killing. Didn't have a dime but I always had a vision. Always had high, high hopes. Had to have high, high hopes for a living. Didn't know how but I always had a feeling. I was gonna be that one in a million. Always had high, high hopes! SO good. I love how pumping the music is there too. The chorus and the verses, well all of the lyrics in general, have such a positive nature to them about having high hops and striving for the best you can achieve. The verses are great and i like those “mama said” parts he sings. Aww Brendon is such a mama’s boy from those two songs I posted in this set. And I mean that in a good way, so don’t try it! But my favorite is the pre-chorus where the music slows down song with Brendan singing: Mama said, don't give up, it's a little complicated. All tied up, no more love and I'd hate to see you waiting. Then the song just PUMPS up once again into that super addicting chorus! Fom the second verse, I love the part where he sings: Stay up on that rise. Stay up on that rise and never come down, oh... I also love the part where he sings: They say it's all been done but they haven't seen the best of me-e-e-e. So I got one more run and it's gonna be a sight to see-e-e-e, which are both such great parts! I have heard this song so much throughout 2019 and thankfully never really got tired of it so yay for that! 9. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - “Señorita” Coming in at #9 are Pop music’s newest It couple, Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello with “Señorita.” Of course besides all the buzz this song and video had, there was buzz about Shawn and Camila being a couple, if they are really a couple or some stunt or what not. I ain’t got time to speculate that but I will say I really like them both separately and together, they make a nice and cute couple so I wish and hope all the best for them. And that’s that. Except not really because I got to talk about this song. This is Shawn & Camila’s second collaboration after ”I Know What You Did Last Summer:” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngORmvyvAaI, which I really liked (and omg they were babies in this!), but I love this song even more. I love the steamy Latin Pop flavor this song has, although I know this is a joint duet and on Shawn’s re-release album, it does sound more like a Camila song and gives me slight “Havana” feels - but it’s nice hearing Shawn on this kind of song. Camila does sound quite on the chorus where she sings the opening chorus that goes: I love it when you call me Señorita. I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya. But every touch is ooh-la-la-la. It's true la-la-la. Ooh I should be running. Ooh you keep me coming, for ya. I love her whole part there but my favorite is the “ooh-la-la-la. It's true la-la-la” parts. I enjoy Shawn’s verse in the first part especially the parts where he sings: Before I even knew her name la-la-la. It felt like ooh-la-la-la and Sapphire moonlight. We danced for hours in the sand. Tequila sunrise. Her body fit right in my hands, la-la-la. It felt like ooh-la-la-la. I love how they sing the next chorus together and they do sound really good together. From Camila’s second verse, I love a lot of parts from her but specifically where she sings: You say, "We're just friends." But friends don't know the way you taste-la-la-la. ‘Cause you know it's been a long time comin’. Don't you let me fall, oh. Oh, when your lips undress me. Hooked on your tongue. Ooh, love, your kiss is deadly. Don't stop. Which okayyy lmao it’s that whole dang verse except the first two lines but oh well I do really love it all there. I really love their joint ad-libs that they sing on 2:44, especially Camila’s “coming for ya, coming for ya” parts. Ooh I actually never saw the music video in full but i have seen bits and pieces of it, but whoa this is a steamy video which I knew it was. But yeah I do think this is a better video than Shawn’s other video and wow over 913 million views is crazy impressive. But yess still love this song! I hope we get more Shawn & Camila duets in the future. 8. Post Malone & Swae Lee - “Sunflower” Post Malone & Swae Lee collaboration of their big hit, “Sunflower” comes up at #8. For those keeping track or not keeping track, this marks Post Malone’s impressive 5th appearance and Swae Lee’s 2nd appearance. And YES you Post Malone haters will deal with another appearance from him soooo I can’t remember my first thought of this song or where i heard but probably the same place as usual, on the radio of course. I do think this is a nice mellow smooth jam and I love what both Post Malone and Swae Lee bring to the song. I actually really love Swae Lee’s voice on and throughout this song, like i love his “Ayy ayy ayy oh oh oh” opening ad-libs. His first verse is really cool which hI do like a lot where he sings: Needless to say, I keep in check. She was a bad-bad, nevertheless (yeah). Callin' it quits now, baby, I'm a wreck (wreck). Crash at my place, baby, you're a wreck (wreck) and whoa he actually sings that part twice which I never really realized but wow. Then I also really love the part where he sings: Someone took a big L, don't know how that felt. Lookin' at you sideways, party on tilt. Ooh-ooh. Some things you just can't refuse. She wanna ride me like a cruise. Aww at someone taking a big L, ughh at that. :bye2: Then the pre-chorus section, which I also quoted but I ove how Swae Lee sings that part in his falsetto which is really good. The chorus definitely bops and gets me jamming SO much which goes: Then you're left in the dust, unless I stuck by ya. You're a sunflower. I think your love would be too much. Or you'll be left in the dust. Unless I stuck by ya. You're the sunflower. You're the sunflower. Such a catchy chorus. And awww it’s also really cute and sweet too! I really enjoy Post on the second verse too although wow after breaking this song and analyzing it, I prefer Swae Lee more on this track even though I like Post Malone more overall. Strange. But I still love Post’s parts too. Anyway, the parts i love most from Post are where he sings: Wish I could be there for you. Give me a reason to go. Every time I'm walkin' out. I can hear you tellin' me to turn around. Fightin' for my trust and you won't back down. Even if we gotta risk it all right now, oh. I know you're scared of the unknown (-known). You don't wanna be alone (alone). Aww all really nice and sweet lyrics there. Post does bring more of a raspiness and grittiness where he sings the chorus and the contrast is noticeable but cool. Oooh and I kinda love this music video. It’s really cute and the storytelling and animination is really good. 7. Billie Eilish - “bad guy” Closing out this set is Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” coming in at #7. Maybe this is the most surprising song to make my Top 10 year-end list? I don’t know but you all can let me know. I know Denise has been predicting and waiting forever for this song to show up soooo here it goes. While posting this list, I am really surprised that Billie Eilish isn’t a bigger favorite on here, as I thought a few people here would have loved her. Yet it seems like I’m one of her bigger fans on here and I’m not anywhere near a Billie stan. But what I am a stan of is, “bad guy” as I absolutely really love this song. “bad guy” is also the song that really made me take notice of Billie too. I can’t remember my first thoughts of hearing this but I may have liked it or not cared for it? Heck I am even sure I thought “ew this song is weird. I don’t get it” too. :Dead: Whatever the case, I grew to absolutely love this song and I am glad about that. I LOVE the hard hitting beat/music production and feel of this song. It’s so dark, twisted and yet so funky! Billie sings the verses kinda fast and it’s kinda hard to understand her, heck i still don’t know what she says in parts of the verses and I heard this song hundreds of times. From the first verse, I do love the part where she sings: Think you're so criminal and My soul? So cynical. However, MY PARTS come in the pre-chorus or the chorus, not sure what it’s technically called here - but I will say the chorus at 0:56 is the where I really LOVE this. So you're a tough guy. Like-it-really-rough guy. Just-can't-get-enough guy. Chest-always-so-puffed guy. I’m that bad type. Make-your-mama-sad type. Make-your-girlfriend-mad type. Might-seduce-your-dad type. I’m the bad guy, DUH. I’m the bad guy. LOL at all of those “guy” she sings at the end of each line and then she switches u to “type” at the end. I realy love that. Of course my VERY favorite part is where she sings “I’M THE BBBBBAAAAADDDDD GUY, DUH!” So much sass and attitude with that DUH. Then that upbeat dancey music at 1:14 is also MY FAVORITE. It’s sooo fun and dancey and I aways got to bop along to that. From the second verse, I really love the first half of that verse where she sings: I like it when you take control. Even if you know that you don’t. Own me, I'll let you play the role. I’ll be your animal. i mentioned loving the chorus and that upbeat fun music already but then I love it even more at 2:29. I can’t describe it but it gets more dancey and jammy and i just love how that all sounds so much. OMG Billie’s jumping around and acting silly where she’s in the yellow outfit is freaking hilarious. Ooh and I'm only good at being bad, bbbaaaaaddddd parts are cool too! :shifty: Oooh and YES I am also here for the breakdown section at the bridge at 2:45. The music completely changes and has this dark somber twisted feel to it. I like how she sings it slowly and it sounds like some poetry. I love that whole section but my standout favorite part is where she sings: I don't see what she sees. But maybe it's 'cause I'm wearing your cologne. Omg wow, Billie….wow. :Dead: But yeah I love this and this song is such a jam! 10. Panic! At The Disco - “High Hopes:” 9. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - “Señorita:” 8. Post Malone & Swae Lee - “Sunflower:” 7. Billie Eilish - “bad guy:” And then there were 6…. what songs will these be and in what order? Pleaseee tell me! :shifty:

totes4totes
10. Panic! At The Disco - “High Hopes:” Not my favorite song. Since I was in high school when "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" came out, I feel like that's my peak Panic at the Disco. Otherwise I feel like this song is pretty generic. It sounds like it could come from any of OneRepublic/Imagine Dragons etc. 9. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - “Señorita:” I know they are "dating" but Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have all the chemistry on this song of two wet noodles forcefully intertwined with each other. I mean I guess their IRL relationship does as well. I feel like they could get married and I'd still be claiming that they are in a fake relationship. 8. Post Malone & Swae Lee - “Sunflower:” I'm not really a Post Malone fan, but I am a Swae Lee and an Into the Spider-Verse fan and when I first heard the song in the movie I knew it was going to be one of my favorites. In a soundtrack full of bangers, this is the standout track IMO. I like Swae Lee so much that even Post Malone being on this song doesn't bother me. 7. Billie Eilish - “bad guy:” I love Billie Eilish's music (since "Ocean Eyes" appeared in The Runaways) and this song is very good. It's like if Lorde had come to prominence during the very bad late 2010s rather than the very optimistic early 2010s. This is definitely one of my favorite songs of the year as well and I love singing along with it. Especially when she goes "duh" LOL.
totes4totes
16. Lizzo - “Juice:” Love Lizzo, love the energy on this song, and it's so catchy. I think the songs Lizzo released as singles are better than an album as a whole but that's partially because songs like "Juice" hit such high highs that it's almost impossible to match that through an entire album (and once Lizzo does that then that album will instantly be like an all-time classic). Anyway, this is such a fun song and I love listening to it. 15. Post Malone - “Wow.:” At first I didn't think I knew this song but it turns out I do. I have heard this on the radio. I wouldn't change the station if this were on but I don't like actively care about it. 14. Panic! At The Disco - “Hey Look Ma, I Made It:” Ah yes, I do know this song as well. Again, I don't really care for it. And again, I don't think I could distinguish Panic! At the Disco from any other pop-rock band of 2019. 13. Ellie Goulding, Diplo & Swae Lee - “Close To Me:” Again, a song that I know existed but not one that I paid much attention to. It's fine. What I really want is for Swae Lee to release a new album and get off these collabs. LOL. 12. Shawn Mendes - “If I Can't Have You:” I saw Shawn Mendes and audibly groaned. Ugh. 11. Khalid - “Talk:” Somebody once tweeted that if you wanted the Sam Smith of Frank Ocean you'd end up with Khalid which is so incredibly accurate and I'm not sure if it's a bigger burn on Sam Smith or Khalid. totes4totes
22. Ariana Grande - “thank u, next:” This is a good song. But didn't it come out in 2018? Or was 2019 just so unbearably long that I didn't realize that it came out early 2019? Ah I see that it came out in November 2018, it would probably make my 2018 list but not my 2019 list for that reason. And just because "7 Rings" really felt like her 2019 song. But this is a great song and I love the "Mean Girls" music video tribute. I actually feel like this is probably Ariana Grande's best song. 21. Post Malone - “Goodbyes” (feat. Young Thug): Young Thug deserves more than to be a feature artist on a Post Malone song. Why do you have so many Post Malone songs. Are you a Post Malone stan? 20. Jonas Brothers - “Only Human:” "Sucker" was a surprisingly good and fun song. This like fake reggae song is not really my thing. 19. Halsey - “Without Me:” Oh Halsey. 18. Ariana Grande - “break up with your girlfriend, I’m bored:” Despite being a casual fan of Ariana Grande, I feel like I completely missed this song. I don't really feel like I'm missing out by not really having heard it this year though. 17. Normani - “Motivation:” I really hope that 2020 Normani continues her breakout because she's been on and producing some jams. I like this song and agree that the music video is great with the choreo and the iconic basketball gif.
totes4totes
28. Bad Bunny - “MIA” (feat. Drake): I love Bad Bunny. I love that this song was popular in the US. I love Bad Bunny. 27. Travis Scott - “Sicko Mode” (feat. Drake): This song is f*cking fantastic. Did you have it on your 2018 list and I got mad at you for it being so low????? In 2019 this placement seems fine but I've seen how many Post Malone songs you have over this so obligatory TOO LOW because of that. Also, again I love Swae Lee who is uncredited in the song but also did some of the songwriting. 26. 5 Seconds Of Summer - “Easier:” I'm like 28 which means that I am too old for 5SOS and I skipped this because of that. 25. Lizzo - “Good As Hell:” I'm surprised this song became such a hit in 2019 just because I heard it when it first came out and Lizzo was like a nobody. And then I heard it on the radio and saw it was charting and was like "wait, what" and honestly I shouldn't have been as surprised as I was because this song is a lot of fun. 24. Lewis Capaldi - “Someone You Loved:” To be very shallow, Lewis Capaldi is what you get if you mixed Ed Sheeran with current Paul McCartney. And I think he knows that as well. Also this song was apparently inspired by a Love Island UK woman and she's so hot and honestly I can see why he'd write a sad song after breaking up with her (well I think she may have cheated? IDK). He's got a great voice but I'm just not that into this song. 23. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - “Shallow:” Somehow I feel both UGH and GREAT about this song. I think I just don't like Bradley Cooper so I really have to fight hard against that instinct to appreciate this song for being really good. Stefanie and Bradley have great chemistry. *Chris
10. Panic! At The Disco - “High Hopes:” I did love this song even though it was overplayed as hell, this past year. It's crazy the year and comeback they had, this year. 9. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - “Señorita:” Guilty pleasure of mine, really enjoyed it. 8. Post Malone & Swae Lee - “Sunflower:” Nah, can't be bothered with it. Sorry to any fans! 7. Billie Eilish - “bad guy:” I still can't stand Billie - what she does is great but it's nothing new imo as other artists did it better. Anyway, this is probably one of her worst song imo; don't love the start of the song and how she goes like "badddddddd guyyyyy".
miss denise
11 hours ago, *Wallace said: Oooh ok I wasn’t agreeing entirely and the voice comment but other stuff I said. - Hey! Okay, Wally. - Not nice. I didn't say anything about that. I just was happy to be mentioned twice, but you thought it was too much. This response to me feeling sad? Wow. You did when? I thought you mean you do in general. - Yes. Of course I do. No, because you didn't change that huge incorrect fact, you shouldn't jump to change one that eliminates me. - Because if it's someone I love I want them to get the play counts. No, this song... the Ellie one. Thanks. Okay, go see. Oooh okay. Yeah, I was cutting down the recap by going through the top list and listening to things so... I noticed all those mismatches. Me too. lol "MOM." Hmm no, not sure those are it. Hmm. Okay, I see. Why surprised about that one? It sounded fun. Huh, you can't comment on that song not being linked without spoiling? I try. Also surprised you didn't include Ciara's Greatest Love (on either list) and maybe more... need to check. 10. Panic! At The Disco - “High Hopes:” Well, I was way off here. But wait, let's see what I said. "Don't know about High Hopes. This could be way too high. It's probably more like #8, but the song was huge, so maybe not." Okay, my thoughts weren't so bad then. omg where did I rank this last year? I remember it being a favorite of mine then, and then it kept being played in 2019 and was like it wouldn't go away. But I didn't mind with this one. The energy on this is so hyped up. It's so good. HIGH HIGH HOPES. "if my love for this song wasn’t split into two years and if it was way more 2019, I’m certain this would have been even higher in my Top 10" Interesting. lol calling it being in your own Top 10 a huge honor. I don't know how you could ever not care for this, but yes, that chorus! It is a true anthem and the meaning is so positive and uplifting. "Aww Brendon is such a mama’s boy" But... "Aww Brendon is such a mama’s boy from those two songs I posted in this set. " The two songs were originally in the same set? Do tell. I know and love all these parts too. Gotta have HIGH HIGH HOPES. 9. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - “Señorita:” Oh, I had this two spots off. But omg I was so excited they finally did another song together and I hope they'll do more too. But this was not at all what I expected and does sound much more Camila's style with the Latin flair. It works for Shawn too though and I love what they both bring to it. "Camila does sound quite on the chorus" I know and love the parts you're naming except... well, one part that you'll find out about later. Camila sounds great, but I also love the more laid-back sound on Shawn's verse. Wow it works so well. I like how their vocals build up near the end too and their voices go really well together. "I do think this is a better video than Shawn’s other video" lol. Wow, the views are crazy. 8. Post Malone & Swae Lee - “Sunflower:” One spot off with this... darn. I did not expect this so high at all. I did hear this on the radio, and I guess often, but I don't feel like as often as other Post Malone songs... or maybe I just always changed the station. I did hear it a lot. I guess it also has that more R&B pop driven side to it, but this never appealed to me. Wow, this other guy sings so much more of the song it seems, or at least to start with. " She wanna ride me like a cruise. " Well wow. Didn't need to know that. Hmm I can't really find the catchiness, as the chorus seems so ~chill and well the whole song is on the same level. I don't mind it, but it doesn't do much for me. I can't quite figure out what they're saying. But the video does look kind of cute. 7. Billie Eilish - “bad guy:” "Maybe this is the most surprising song to make my Top 10 year-end list? I don’t know but you all can let me know. I know Denise has been predicting and waiting forever for this song to show up soooo here it goes." lol I haven't necessarily been waiting, it just fit lots of clues and I had no idea where it would rank, so I would guess it. I'm not tooo surprised because I got a better idea of what you thought of Billie earlier on in this, but prior to the list, I did not know and could have seen you going either way. Like what you said here: "Heck I am even sure I thought “ew this song is weird. I don’t get it”" I could see that too, but this song did blow up and if I had to guess, I would got more with you loving it, or at least it growing on you, as that's how it usually goes. Also, my prediction... "I can see this Billie song pretty much anywhere from bottom 3 to top 3. " Well, it is in the middle there, at least. I was two spots off. Anyway, yes the beat of this is sick and I love the dark, yet funky, sound of it too. I don't know what she says in the verses either, but I think we have the same main favorite parts... with that pre-chorus and the fun music. YES both. And do do do do do do do do Why are you shiftying her lyrics? She's too young for this. And that end part is a bridge? It becomes a totally different song, as Wally would like to say... except you didn't, but it really does here. It's so interesting and I don't even know. But yes, this is addicting. My Top 3 predicted songs are still in it, so... hope I got that right.
Elliott
40. Cardi B & Bruno Mars - “Please Me:” I'll pass. Cardi's alright, but I'm not really feeling Bruno anymore now that I know he's a Chris Brown apologist. 39. Ariana Grande & Social House - “Boyfriend:” I'll also pass. 38. Lil' Nas X - “Old Town Road” (feat. Billy Ray Cyrus): I've never listened to this song on Spotify or anything of that sort, but it's been played so much I'm pretty sure I know the entire song by now. That said, Billy Ray Cyrus offering his services to be on this song since the country charts refuse to let Lil Nas X chart on his own is the kind of pettiness I live for. 37. Post Malone - “Circles:” ugh Post Malone. He's like a worse Ed Sheeran. 36. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie - “Look Back At It:” Never heard it. I'll check it out. 35. Taylor Swift - “ME!” (feat. Brendon Urie): Hey kids spelling is fun is the only thing I remember about this. Thank God they cut that line from the album version.
Elliott
34. Ciara - “Thinkin’ Bout You:” I really enjoyed this when I first heard it, but it's future DWTS winner Ciara, so I'm not surprised. I've been really bad at following her music "career" the last couple of years, so I should probably get reacquainted with it. 33. Ed Sheeran - “Cross Me” (feat. Chance the Rapper & PnB Rock): ew Ed Sheeran pass 32. Mabel - “Don't Call Me Up:” Never heard it. 31. SHAED - “Trampoline:” Never heard it. 30. DJ Snake - “Taki Taki” (feat. Selena Gomez, Ozuna & Cardi B.): I'll pass. 29. Taylor Swift - “You Need To Calm Down:” I really enjoy this. I also like the cameos in the music video, chief among them being Tatianna. Elliott
28. Bad Bunny - “MIA” (feat. Drake): Pass. 27. Travis Scott - “Sicko Mode” (feat. Drake): Pass. Still bitter over how Maroon 5 disrespected SpongeBob like that for this song. 26. 5 Seconds Of Summer - “Easier:” Meh. Not really big into 5SOS, though this was better than most of their output. 25. Lizzo - “Good As Hell:” You already know I love Lizzo, and I am OFFENDED that this is this low. But at least it isn't in the triple digits like you ranked Tempo. #lowstandards Anyway,, this song is a BOP and was the perfect song to catapult her into the mainstream. Kameron Michaels' impact tbh. 24. Lewis Capaldi - “Someone You Loved:” I like it, and I guess I like Lewis Capaldi since he's one of Best One Direction Member Niall Horan's friends. 23. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - “Shallow:” If I never have to hear this overwrought song again, I'll be pleased.
Elliott
22. Ariana Grande - “thank u, next:” I also agree TUN was a far superior album to Sweetener. I say I also agree as if I actually read your full write-up (still love you, Wally ) and am just assuming you said that. Anyway, this was a catchy song and as someone who watches Mean Girls religiously, I was a fan of the music video. It even has Jonathan Bennett, aka Allison's best partner on DWTS. But it's not my favourite song on the album. 21. Post Malone - “Goodbyes” (feat. Young Thug): honestly just shove a knife through my ears. 20. Jonas Brothers - “Only Human:” Catchy song. 19. Halsey - “Without Me:" Not a Halsey fan either, but at least she isn't as terrible as Ed Sheeran or Post Malone. 18. Ariana Grande - “break up with your girlfriend, I’m bored:” This actually is my favourite song from Ariana's album, so I'm glad you included it here. It's just so fun and catchy. 17. Normani - “Motivation:” Better than everything she came up with as apart of Fifth "Harmony," so there's that. In all seriousness, I actually like this song and the music video was cool. So not only is her dancing better than Ally's, but so is her solo output as well.
Elliott
16. Lizzo - “Juice:” JUICE AT 16? SIXTEEN? SIX? TEEN? THERE ARE FIFTEEN SONGS BETTER THAN THIS WORK OF THE LORD BEYONCE HERSELF? One of the best songs from her album and I never get tired of listening to it. I've already got my pitchforks ready if it isn't a lip sync song on one of the two seasons of Drag Race that are airing this spring. 15. Post Malone - “Wow.:” omg why is there so much Sh*t Malone on this list? Look at your life, look at your choices. 14. Panic! At The Disco - “Hey Look Ma, I Made It:” This was one of the songs Andrew and I played at our wedding. Mostly to be petty against his best friend who said it was the one song on that album she hated, but nonetheless, it was still a song we like. 13. Ellie Goulding, Diplo & Swae Lee - “Close To Me:” Haven't heard it and don't have a desire to. 12. Shawn Mendes - “If I Can't Have You:” Shawn needs to stop using C*mila as his beard already because it's making it hard to still stan for him. 11. Khalid - “Talk:” Really like this. Elliott
I don't really care enough to comment on the close calls list since it's probably full of things I haven't heard, but I will comment on: Ciara - “Melanin” (feat. Lupita Nyong’o, Ester Dean, City Girls & La La) - She performed this at the New Years Rockin Eve thing and I was dying at them showing the audience trying to dance to it and the audience was full of white people. Elliott
10. Panic! At The Disco - “High Hopes:” I also really like this, but I'm a big PATD fan so that's not a surprise. The only stuff that he's output lately that I haven't been crazy about is his Frank Sinatra inspired songs from the album. 9. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - “Señorita:” Just look at my previous Shawn Mendes comment since I clearly mixed the songs up. /bad stan 8. Post Malone & Swae Lee - “Sunflower:” Despite my Past Malone hate, I actually really this song. It helps that it's from the Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack, which is honestly what every movie soundtrack should aspire to be. What a fantastic movie/album/etc. But back to this song. Unlike Megan, it isn't my favourite from the album, but I still like it (granted, I don't dislike any song from that album). 7. Billie Eilish - “bad guy:” Love it. It took me a while to get into Billie Eilish compared to everyone else, but this is probably my favourite of the songs from her album. And after seeing what her brother Finneas looks like, I will remain a stan.

*Wallace
19 hours ago, totes4totes said: 10. - Awww understandable. Omgg I'm a mess with Panic! because I really disliked IWSNT when it was out but then maybe 5 or 6 years later, i started really loving it out of nowhere. I get how you can see this as generic and I kinda get those other bands comparisons. - OMGGG your opening sentence. I won't comment on their romantic chemistry but I like them solo and together, so ththey can do them haha. OMGG at how you wouldn't believe them as a real couple if they got married. - Ooh awww darn I was hoping you would like Post Malone but I am glad you like Swae Lee and have a lot of love for this song. Oh I don't know what's on the soundtrack but it makes sense for this big single to be the standout track. And awww haha yay for Post not bothering you on this. - Ah these Billie/Lorde comparisons are soo getting to me, it's all I hear now after never thinking of this. Yayyy for loving this and it being one of your faves of the year. So fun to sing along to and those duh's are the best. 19 hours ago, totes4totes said: 16. - Yessss to all of your Lizzo Juice comments. Juice is a great standout song but awww sad to hear her album as a whole isn't as great as Juice but oh well. Glad you love this and agree it is so fun to listen to. - Wow was such a big song iwould have been shocked if you didn't know this. Ahh these are moderately fine comments you have on this song and yay for not changing the station if this came on. - Awww at not caring for HLMIMI but i see. Ooh ouch at the last comment. I can tell them apart bit I understand. - Understandable comments you have on CTM. Oh yeah I would be interested in hearing solo stuff from Swae Lee too. - You would. Not surprised. - OMGGG WHOA at this..... I never heard of this comment but this is so hilarious. i think i can kinda get that? Lmao wow.
