Tulsi Gabbard officially joined the Republican Party: "The party of the people and the party of peace."

I just want to point out that I think it's interesting that Tulsi and you quoted her saying:

"The party of the people and the party of peace."

while the X post was from Trump's official WAR room campaign. Irony.

Regardless Of Political Affiliation, I hope that we can all agree, that that's kind-of funny???

Several other accounts shared the video, TWR was just the first one I saw when I looked for it later. Tulsi's reference to the "party of peace" is a call back to Trump's first four years in office without new wars (armed conflicts).

I've seen "war room" tied to many other politicians (DeSantis War Room, for example) that my mind automatically attributed the term to a metaphorical and political war, and not actual armed conflicts. With Trump being called Hitler for 8+ years by his opponents, I don't blame his info war team for being on a (political) war footing as they combat (oops there's the militaristic language again >< ) the media and liberal attacks (oh no~) on Trump.

You can say it's ironic that an account with "war" on its name is promoting the party of peace. 🙂 But many people who have known actual wars (like veterans in combat, like Tulsi and my husband) long for peace and strive for peace. And with warmongers like the Cheneys supporting the other candidate, I understand why Tulsi fully endorsed Trump and she joined the (hopefully MAGA) Republican party.

It seems it’s going to all come down to PA, MI, and WI. I think Trump will take GA, NC, AZ, NV. Harris probably has a slight advantage in those three Northern states, but she has to take all 3. Trump just needs one of them.

RCP (averages) has Trump leading in those battleground States. Trump is also polling much better vs 2020.

There are other averages that show her leading. It all depends on which polls they cherry pick for their averages. It’s basically a tie. But, I’m also considering the early vote numbers. They look much better for Harris in those states.

We don't know what their internal polls look like, but we may be able to guess by the actions of the campaigns and the media. PA would be the keystone.

10 days. Trump is having rallies and campaign events multiple times a day, including MSG on Sunday, and VA next Saturday.

(He was late for the Michigan rally tonight because he had to fly from Austin TX, and his Rogan interview probably took longer than scheduled. )

Trump campaigning at MSG makes no sense.

Harris campaigning in Houston also makes no sense.

One other potential factor is that the Harris campaign has a lot more money to get their voters to the polls. I have no idea how organized they are, but that can’t hurt.

MSG is probably done for optics. Selling out Madison Square Garden, tens of thousands of supporters having a blast, is good for morale.

Turning out the R voters in NY (and VA) would also help Trump's popular vote numbers, and there might be competitive congressional races that could benefit from heavy R turnout. He also held a rally in CA, to motivate the R voters there to vote.

Newspaper endorsements probably don't do much for campaigns these days, but I'm old enough to remember how newspaper endorsements used to be news.

2020 newspaper endorsements
2012 newspaper endorsements

This year, Washington Post did not endorse Harris. They endorsed democrats for decades including Mondale and Dukakis. Maybe Bezos didn't want to alienate the Trump supporters; after all they're at least half of the Amazon customer base.

https://x.com/disclosetv/status/1849854237049749975

LA Times also did not endorse a candidate for president this year. They endorsed Joe Biden in 2020 and Hillary Clinton in 2016.

The LA Times editorials editor resigned because of the newspaper's non-endorsement of Harris. A WP editor-at-large resigned for a similar reason.

Meanwhile, the NY Post endorsed Trump. They also endorsed Trump in 2020.

Just a theory that Kamala actually might have a chance in GA and NC. Higher voter turnout usually bodes well for Dems of I am not mistaken. GA and NC have some of the highest turnout early on. Particualy impressive in NC since they have other stuff going on like a once in a century hurricane recovery

There’s a theory floating around that the Republican early vote is just people who voted for Trump on election day in 2020, since they’re actually telling people to vote early this time. I think they were talking about NC and GA. There’s a lot of spin on both sides, though.

Yeah I just read in NC the early vote demographic favors Republicans slightly

Trump rally at Madison Square Garden is well attended. 10s of thousands are in the arena. and thousands more outside. The vibe is similar to the last night of a party nominating convention. Speakers included Tulsi Gabbard, Tucker Carlson, RFK Jr, Dana White, Elon Musk, Melania Trump and many politicians and cultural personalities.

Sometimes its hard to tell if Babylon is still doing satire or just plain reporting/predicting.

Babylon Bee in July 2024:

b9080a76fedf9eff.jpeg

From the article --

"Trump has been called 'Hitler' thousands of times, but we must do it at least several more times to win this election," said Senator Chuck Schumer. "We're pretty sure this tried and true strategy will work this time."

...

American journalists responded quickly, publishing incredibly damning photos of Trump sporting a Hitler mustache to inform the American public of the disturbing truth — that Trump is literally Hitler. Per CNN, Hitler Is Literally Running For President. Per MSNBC, Trump? More Like Hitler! (I Mean Look At Him). Even Fox News got in on the fun with a headline that reads, How Trump Can Save America By Becoming Hitler.

...

Republican leaders have blasted the tactic, calling it "appalling," but have resolved to do nothing on the matter.

...

At publishing time, Democrats announced they would call Trump's eventual running mate "Also Literally Hitler."

Msgr. Carlo Maria Viganò: Open Letter to American Catholics

Dear Faithful American Catholics,

I am addressing all of you, a few days before the Presidential Election that will call millions of American citizens to the polls.

Even in conditions of relative normality, the exercise of the vote is your moral duty, through which you cooperate in the first person in choosing the person who will lead the Nation for the next four years. But in this coming electoral round – just as in 2020 and indeed much more so – you are not simply called to choose between two candidates who happen to be on different political sides but who both nevertheless have the common good at heart in compliance with the Constitution and the Law. No; in this election you must choose between two radically opposed ways of conceiving the government of your Nation: you are called to choose between democracy and dictatorship, between freedom and slavery.

On one side we have candidate Donald J. Trump, who, despite serious problems in his positions – especially in the matter of abortion and assisted procreation – has as his objective the common good and the protection of the fundamental freedoms of citizens. In Donald Trump’s America, every Catholic can practice their Faith and educate their children in it without interference from the State.

On the other side we have a candidate and a party that promotes everything that directly opposes the Faith and Morals of the Catholic Church. In Kamala Harris’ America, Catholics – but also Protestants – are considered fundamentalists to be marginalized and eliminated, and their children are considered the property of the State, which arrogates to itself the right to lead them astray from an early age in both body and soul. Trump’s America can become great and prosperous again. Harris’ America is destined for invasion and for moral, social, and economic destruction: the most ferocious dictatorship.

I will bet you $1 Million he will not eliminate the income tax.

He's mainstreaming the idea, get the discussion going. Get it studied. He's the first major presidential candidate who even entertained the idea of getting rid of the income tax.

The proposals for no tax on SS income, tips, overtime, military/vet/LEO income, are small bites at the big income tax apple. When he started proposing those tax breaks one by one, I thought they're the first steps in eliminating the income tax.
