I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Biden picks Klob as his VP pick.

I think that's been her play all along, but if Biden is the nominee, I bet they pick Harris as the running mate. Their main purpose is to be an attack dog during the election, and Harris is at least good at that (Klobuchar is not).

Amy doesn't do much for the ticket that Joe doesn't already bring. But I think she wants the spot.

Harris would be a good pick, as she might energize voters of color to fight through other road blocks in voting. She's also from a state where there isn't a risk in her senate seat being replaced by a Republican.

Pete is an interesting pick too. One thing Republicans have done well is brand Americana values as their own. Well, Pete is a devout Christian and speaks to that. He's a proud vet and talks about that. He's a small town guy and proud of it. The DNC just kind of let Republicans have that brand, and I'm not sure people who fall into those categories necessarily agree with Republican policies. In fact, I think people who feel one with that identity end up going Republican because of the brand. Pete could shake it up because he blends those values with modern values.

Women, minorities, and younger candidates got trounced in this primary. Old white men rule the party right now.

A result of Bernie's forced rule changes, and idiotic "no superpacs even though I have a superpac" propaganda. Meaning only the well known candidates or candidates who refused to fall for Bernie's superpac/donor bs (Pete) could survive.

Also likely a result of Iowa and New Hampshire going first - which I think will change in the future.

Regardless, I'm here for this Sanders trouncing.

I love this Biden near sweep tonight!

I am surprised but not complaining - really surprised by MA, ME, and MN; Amy really did help Biden there it seems.

And the fact Bernie is not winning his states handily is interesting too (e.g.: Colorado, Texas).

Its hardly a sweep. Bernie is winning the second largest state in the nation and Colorado the next most important goes to Bernie. The only surprise is how well Biden did in VA

Its going to be a brokered convention. Neither Biden or Sanders are landing the 1900 delegates by doing the math

It will be interesting to see what 538 shows when the dust settles. Either way, Biden is going to be the nominee.

I love Hillary so much but Biden would have beat Trump in 2016. Hindsight in 2020 tho!

I agree with you on 2016. But not sure if 2020 will happen though.

The way the Democrats seem to be turning out far more in these primaries than the 2016 primaries shows there is real hope for a major turn out that probably stayed home instead of voting for Hillary in the general. Democrats, many Indies, and probably more than we know Republicans are willing to vote for Biden over Trump. This turnout is giving real hope that Biden will take all the traditional Democrat states and the 3 Hillary lost, that would be over 270. Biden's got this.

He'll have less infrastructure and money than Clinton had in 2016, he's going to perform much worse in debates and interviews, and he's no more appetizing to progressives and young voters (probably actually less so in that the prospect of the first female president isn't on the ballot). If he's the nominee, I think he'll get destroyed. That's just me though.

I I mean I'm not gonna change your mind but fundamentally someone shouldnt have to form a go fund me page to save their life.

Plus although my taxes may go up a few hundred bucks I wont be wasting 150 a month out of my paycheck on an insurance I cant really use due to the deductible. Thats a net positive for me.

I Used to be against tuition free college but I realized that to be competitive in today's world you need to have some sort of post high school training. The program would cover trade schools which we need more people to go to. Its not just to be a doctor or lawyer. Plus that is paid for using a tax on stocks and market speculation. Those things aren't a big part of most Americans day to day life

Not when you're taking choice away from the American people, Medicare For All is a great example of that as well.

What happens to the students that took responsibility and paid off or are close to paying off their student loans? They get screwed.

I don't see how or why people who don't go to college are somehow responsible for other students loans and debt.

I guess I will never understand people's reasons.  I get Bernie being too big a change for people.  But Biden? Every major vote he has been on the wrong side of. From African american rights, to the Iraq war, to trade agreements.  Are people just not aware? I guess maybe in the general I would vote for him because he believes in Science and he's not a complete scam artist like Trump? Though maybe not because he says he doesn't care about me so I don't care about him...

Biden winning states he didn’t even visit or advertise in, a week after his campaign was seemingly on life support, is a wholesale rejection of Bernie Sanders and his Socialist policies.

That's what I am thinking, too. And I don't think it would be any different for Sanders, too.

Also very surprised that Texas went for Biden in the end.

Considering the margins in California, TX, ME, MA - not a good night for Sanders, in my opinion.

Also Warren did not have a good night, either - I think it's time for her to pull out, just like Bloomberg.
