Kirstie Alley (Season 12 & All-Stars)

giphy.gif

Kirstie Alley sucks as a human being. Fact. Kirstie Alley is quite possibly the weakest runner-up in the history of the series. Fact. Kirstie Alley was not worthy of a spot on the All-Stars season. Fact.

If you are looking for me to write anything positive about Kirstie Alley in this post, stop looking. Kirstie Alley is a famous television and film actress, with only two commendable credits to her name. Drop Dead Gorgeous and Cheers. Kirstie was cast for the iconically bad Season 12 and was partnered with Maks Chmerkovskiy, much to her benefit and to his dismay. LOL. Kirstie Alley never once landed at the top of the leaderboard during her season-long run. In fact, she even landed at the bottom of leaderboard after her performances on Week 7 and Finale Night. Kirstie never once impressed during her time on the show. Never. Ever. In fact, Kirstie only received one perfect score that entire season, which was given for her Redemption Cha-Cha on Finale Night. Kirstie originally scored a 23 for that Week One Cha-Cha, which would lead you to believe she would succeed during the season. Wrong. That Week 2 Quickstep scored a 20, but could have been scored even lower. That Week 3 Personal Story Rumba scored a 21 for Kirstie, but could have been scored even lower. Classical Week saw Kirstie dance a Waltz, which received a score of 22. The lowest scoring Waltz of the season. The routine deserved a 20 at best. American Week Foxtrot scored a 23. Could have been lower. You see the trend here. Guilty Pleasure Samba? OVERSCORED. Ballroom Greats Week was a disaster for her. Between the Team Cha Cha and disastrous Jive, Kirstie earned herself an elimination. Of course she unfortunately survived though. Kirstie finally scored well for her Argentine Tango (28) the following week, but her Instant Salsa was meh (25). Both overscored. Viennese Waltz + Paso Doble on Semifinals Night? Both received 27's, but deserved something...lower. Shocking. Kirstie entered the finals a fraud, and was generously given 27's for her Samba and terrible Freestyle. Yet she somehow ended the season as Runner-Up. YUCK. Her final average was a 24.7.

Somehow the producers decided to give her a phone call for All-Stars. I can only imagine that the phone call was ridiculous, because I cannot imagine speaking to Kirstie Alley is an easy task. Poor Maks was paired with Kirstie once again. Disastrous. Even more disappointing is how far Kirstie advanced in the competition. EIGHT WEEKS?! HOW!? Kirstie outlasted Joey F., Drew L., Hélio C., and Sabrina Bryan. All talented legends. I JUST DO NOT GET IT. Scientologists were clearly working overtime to save her. LOL. Kirstie received the second lowest score for the first three weeks of the competition, and then received the lowest score of the night on Week 4. Not one dance is worth discussing, not even her recreation of the iconic Cha Cha danced by Carson & Anna. Week 5 saw Kirstie score the second lowest once again, and scoring higher than Kelly Monaco is nothing to be proud of tbh. Due to Hurricane Sandy and the presidential election, Kirstie was unfortunately kept around for another week. Despite her Fusion Dance receiving the lowest score of the week, and despite the fact that she placed last in the Swing Marathon. Kirstie would finally go home on Week 8, which happened to be Veterans Day/Trio Week. Shocking absolutely nobody, Kirstie scored the lowest that week as well. Kirstie danced a Foxtrot, Jive, Cha Cha, Charleston, Quickstep, Team Freestyle, Rumba, Quickstep-Samba Fusion, Swing Marathon, Viennese Waltz, and Trio Paso Doble.

Kirstie Alley sucks. The end.
