Kat was one of the top charters just like Blake predicted her to be :icecream:

Blake predicting it is probably why she's up there lol. The squad was listening.

Kat's studio is quite good tho imo so she deserves.

Can't believe Kat's charting higher than Ricky... What a joke! IPB Image Not that itunes means anything.

I agree. I think iTunes not counting def makes it hard to figure out...at least for me. I don't get these at all. :haha:

Will being higher than both Rose & Marybeth is also a joke but yeah iTunes is irrelevant now a days.

Let's keep this in perspective. Katie only has 745 downloads. However, I think if this season took place several years ago, we'd be seeing Jordan Smith level domination in the charting.

true, there aren't impressive sales like in the past, used to be in the thousands

Yeah, truthfully itunes is pretty much dead. Particularly because it no longer counts for votes, there's next to no reason to purchase the songs. I think it's mostly just a small fragment of team minivan left purchasing the songs (middle-aged to older, whiter audience members who are not into streaming).

That said, it is still impressive that Katie can consistently chart as high as she has been.

I haven't bought any this season, I have in past seasons though even if it didn't count

Check this out. Hoot posted some streaming numbers for Danny’s Song on Saturday. It appears to be a weekly number, 28,900 streams. I don’t know how many were during the voting window, but I’ll guess 15-20K, which would give him a bonus of 75-100K cumulative votes from the 5x bonus and additional 1 vote per stream outside of the voting window. He might have a 200K vote lead in the finale already, with his 2 bonuses. If this is the case, it helps explain Chris Kroeze. Didn’t he have 3 bonuses? I guess we don’t know who got the bonus in the finale, since they don’t announce that.

EDIT: The reporting period only goes through 11/21, which is Thursday of that week. Perhaps the number within the voting window was even higher than 15-20K.

Chris Kroeze had 2 bonuses into the Finale yes, however Chevel never got any bonuses and still won.

I still don't know how it affects the overall votes, but if Jake is leading next week and the Semifinals week, I think he's got the Top 2 locked up.

He might go into the finale with a 500-600k vote lead. In the past, at least multiple people could get the bonus, and it would even out a little. The Hoot appears to have it all to himself. I agree with T2 being a lock. He may even be able to pull off the upset and win it all because of this.

If the Hoot wins, then he would be the first male winner in 5 seasons since Chris Blue won over Lauren Duski. A similar situation happened between Trent Harmon and La'Porsha Renae on AI15.
