I don't think that MJs is ever really indicative of anything.

 

Marybeth, due to the country vote, will get one public vote. I think that Katie will get the second with a killer song choice and performance.

 

The save, however, I'd like to be Khalea, so I chose her. But I could see John saving Will or Alex. He seems to favor those who intrigue him over those who could actually give his team strength and give him a chance to win (see: his completely inexplicable steal, and later equally inexplicable save, of Celia last season).

Predict:

PV1: Marybeth

PV2: Katie

Save: Will

 

Want:

PV1: Will

PV2: Katie

Save: Marybeth (but I'm fine with any of them being safe as long as Will and Katie make it through)

 

I think Katie and Marybeth are locks, if not as PV then save... and if in some crazy scenario where neither gets PV - Katie gets saved and Marybeth get the 13th spot. Regarding the save between Will, Khalea, and Alex - Alex hasn't built the relationship with John long enough and has been too inconsistent, Khalea's strong but had a lackluster battle and average KO so I'm not anticipating she'll blow enough people away, while Will definitely has the strong relationship with John and as long as his anxiety doesn't get the best of his vocals, I think John will reward him over Khalea or Alex.

True, but if I remember correctly he had raved about her in auditions and battles even though she flopped in KOs/cross battles/whatever. I don't recall whether John had made those comments about Alex prior to KO's.

He didn't. He didn't even turn for him in his Blind and actually preferred Injoy to him in their Battle.

 

John is just . . . so . . . weird as a coach. He really is. :wacko:

Maybe he’s weird as a coach when it comes to steals, but you gotta admit he usually makes the right decisions when deciding between winners of his team in KOs in battles save for rare instances (ex. Preston over Mendeleev, Marybeth over D&S (although the second was strategically wise))

. . . Are we watching the same show? Marybeth was head and shoulders above Dane & Stephanie. Head. And. Shoulders. I hated watching Dane & Stephanie go, too, but she was absolutely the right choice.

WHAT I PREDICT:

1. Marybeth Byrd

2. Katie Kadan

Save: Khalea Lynee

 

Will is way too divisive to get PV, just judging off of comments I've seen about him, and it's unfortunate because a lot of the hate is misguided. Alex is the new guy and IMO the most forgettable member of Team Legend to the general audience. I like him, though!

 

Marybeth needs no explanation. As long as she doesn't aim too high by singing more Adele, she should be fine. Katie Kadan has a few detractors, but not enough to keep her from PV as long as she doesn't crash and burn in the playoffs. And I don't think she will. I think she'll do just fine. I don't like her at all, but ya know, it happens. I think that, provided that my predictions come true, John would save Khalea because (1) she's been on his team from the beginning, (2) she's older, (3) she's very versatile, (4) the season is lacking in her style, and (5) she isn't controversial.

 

I mean, also, (6) Khalea is one of the best singers on this whole season. :wub:

You’re points make sense but I’d argue that Khalea is more forgettable than Alex and Alex might actually make POS. I hope you’re wrong about Will. I agree he hit a stump in the knockouts but hopefully if he nails it by doing what he does best hopefully John saves him(BUT BLUECREW VOTE FOR HIM SO HARD SO HOPEFULLY HE WON’T EVEN BE IN THAT POSITION!!!!!!)
