Does anyone have any fun Christmas Eve traditions? Obviously, some things may not be possible this year or maybe some traditions are being modified, but I thought it might still be fun to share, espec

New Christmas song to celebrate!  🎅

Tonight is the night to look out for the Christmas Star.   This is such a special moment in history!

When I was a kid, we had a light meal for dinner on Christmas Eve, then Mom and Dad would prepare a big feast (baked ham is the constant main dish, with 2-3 other dishes plus several sides). About 10 pm or so, we all get ready to go to Church, attend the Christmas Eve mass, and come home just before midnight. After midnight, on Christmas, we all share the Christmas feast. Then after the midnight dinner, we gather in the living room and exchange gifts.

This tradition continues, now 3 generations, but the (after Church) gathering is in my sister's big house instead of my parents' smaller house. My Mom does not prepare the food anymore (Dad passed away years ago) and we just order food from different restaurants to put together a "feast". A minor change this year -- the gathering will be tomorrow, on Christmas Day, lunch time, outdoors.

Merry Christmas y'all. 🎄🎁 :santahappy:

I love hearing about this tradition, especially how it still continues now! ❤️  I never heard of anyone having a big feast right at midnight, but that is really cool. :haha: I miss attending Christmas Eve church services. :( In recent years, I also went to musical productions at my church, but of course there wasn't one this year. It's interesting your Christmas Eve mass is so late in the night. Every church I've gone has had theirs in the early evening, around 4 pm or so. 😮

Thank you for sharing and I'm glad you're able to keep the tradition alive within your family, even with changes being made.  Merry Christmas! ❤️

Lockdown starts on Saturday

Oh man, I feel so bad for you. I had no idea. I should keep up with international news a bit more, lol.

Merry Christmas, IDF! ❤️

It's just sad. No one is doing that well emotionally, I feel. We're not living our lives, just kind of existing in a way.

I know it's the day after Christmas, but since in our house, Christmas decorations stay up until after January 6 (Ephiphany), I have to share this video.

Hope y'all have a great Christmas!

Cool video, I celebrate on January 6th too. 🙂

Did anyone? 😮 We actually did! It only snowed once so far this season and just barely... it didn't even stick. So for it to snow on Christmas day AND stay on the ground was significant! A true white Christmas. :santahappy:

This is so fun! I used to watch The Year Without a Santa Claus when I was young, but haven't seen it in forever. This brings back some of those memories. ❤️

Cool, my city had a white Christmas this year too.

It was freezing on Christmas, so I'm glad it's a bit warmer now.

1 week till Ukrainian Christmas Eve. 🙂
