Sceptile

IPB Image

Sceptile is a grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. Megan says it's the worst generation so out it must go. (!) It evolves from Grovyle starting at level 36. It is the final form of Treecko. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Sceptile using the Sceptilite. It's known as the Forest Pokémon. Sceptie is playable in Pokkén Tournament. Sceptile has the lowest base HP of all fully evolved starter Pokémon. It has had a great run and made the Top 50 so Sceptile should be nothing but proud. It just misses the final round though.

The write-up is only 95 words so I'm babbling a bit more to get to 100 words. ^_^

Charmeleon

IPB Image

I love Charmander and he has become my favorite gen 1 starter. However Charmeleon is rough. I think he's the worst second stage pokemon from the gen 1 starters. Charmeleon is a fire type pokemon. He evolves from Charmander at level 16. Charmeleon evolves into Charizard at level 36. He has decent stats at 405, and a better special attacker then physical attacker. He likes moves like flame thrower and fire blast. Kep charmeleon away from water, ground and rock type pokemon as they will wreck him. I have no idea how Charmeleon got this far, should have been his starter form. Either way he is out of the rankdown.

Absol

IPB Image

Two write-ups in the span of 30 minutes? I am exhausted. :) Absol is a Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. While it is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon, it can Mega Evolve into Mega Absol using the Absolite. Absol is known as the Disaster Pokémon. Absol appears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Spirit. Absol is the only non-Legendary Pokémon featured on the box art for Pokémon Box Ruby & Sapphire. Another Gen III Pokémon out of here because Megan wills it so. ^_^ I'm only a vessel and Megan is my master.

Mr. Mime

IPB Image

Damn Mr. Mime has made a huge jump in the game. Mr. Mime is a Gen 1 pokemon and was originally psychic. In Gen 6, he was given the fairy typing as well. He was given a baby evolution in Gen 4. Now in Gen 8 he was given a galarian form. His galarian form is an ice/psychic type. He also has gained the evolution Mr. Rime. This Mr. Mime has been well represented in the media. It is Ash's mom's chore slave, he had a hilarious scene in Detective Pikachu, and has made several other appearances in the anime. He has made it very far, its however time for him to go home. Sorry to his fans!

Save: Umbreon (the last standing eeveelution, Rei there should be a box for that in the first post too)

GRENINJA

IPB Image

Greninja, classified as the Ninja Pokémon, is a dual Water and Dark type introduced in Generation VI. Greninja is the final evolutionary form of Froakie. Greninja is a blue, bipedal Pokémon resembling a frog. It also seems to use its tongue as a scarf. According to its Pokédex entry, Greninja is able to vanish and reappear with the grace of a ninja. And keeping with the ninja theme, Greninja uses compressed water to throw throwing stars powerful enough to split metal in half. As for Pokémon battles, Greninja is a very popular Pokémon for competitive battling thanks to its very high stats in Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. Greninja also has access to useful abilities Protean and Battle Bond. This is a Pokémon worthy of any team. However, I don't have much of an attachment to Greninja since Fennekin was my Pokémon X starter. But I know how popular Greninja is, so apologies for Greninja's elimination.

BLAZIKEN

IPB Image

Blaziken, classified as the Blaze Pokémon, is a dual Fire and Fighting type introduced in Generation III. Blaziken is the final evolutionary form of Torchic. Blaziken is a red, bipedal Pokémon resembling a cockfighting chicken (specifically the Shamo chicken from Japan). According to its Pokédex entry, flames burst from Blaziken's wrist while fighting. The stronger the opponent, the fiercer its flames will burn. Blaziken also has powerful legs, capable of clearing a 30-foot building in one leap. As for Pokémon battles, Blaziken is a useful team member thanks to its offensive stats (which can be boosted with the move Swords Dance). It has high Attack and Special Attack, and its Speed stat is great, too. The ability Speed Boost can even raise its Speed. Anyway, I do like Blaziken a lot and was torn whether or not to follow through with this cut. Torchic was my Pokémon Ruby starter, so cutting Blaziken wasn't something I wanted to do. However, I guess I'd rather cut Blaziken over the other nominees. Sorry to Blaziken, but congrats on making it this far in the rankdown.

INCINEROAR

IPB Image

Incineroar, classified as the Heel Pokémon, is a dual Fire and Dark type introduced in Generation VII. Incineroar is the final evolutionary form of Litten. Incineroar is a red, bipedal Pokémon resembling a muscular tiger. According to its Pokédex entry, Incineroar is a very egotistical Pokémon and would rather fight against a strong opponent. It finds battles against weaker foes to be boring and a waste of time. And if in a difficult mood, Incineroar will ignore its trainer's orders with complete nonchalance. Incineroar can also easily become violent with its powerful punches and kicks. As for Pokémon battles, Incineroar has a strong Attack stat and everything else is pretty solid (with the exception of its Speed stat). Trainers should make use out of strong physical attacks while battling as it will be difficult for Incineroar to outspeed faster opponents. Anyway, the Litten line is my least favorite of the Alola starters, so I'm okay with getting Incineroar eliminated from the rankdown. No hard feelings to any fans, but out goes Incineroar from the rankdown.

041. DRAGONAIR (#148)

IPB Image

Have to make this quick for now, but Dragonair fits into that coveted majestic Pokémon category easily. I can see why it's hung around for so long! It is known as the "Dragon Pokémon", which is basic, but apropos. :bleh:

Dragonair evolves from Dratini at Level 30; it later evolves into Dragonite at Level 55. This beloved trio are all, of course, from Generation I's Red/Blue/Yellow era of games, set in the Kanto region. I'm sure you'll be shocked to know this, but it is a Dragon-type Pokémon! :fear:

IPB Image

If you're playing Yellow, you can capture Dragonair using the Super Rod in the Safari Zone. Otherwise, in Blue/Red, you must evolve your adorable Dratini (Safari Zone; Super Rod) into a Dragonair, in order to get yourself the epic Dragonite. Worthwhile. :icecream:

Congrats on making it immensely far! But we must bid it adieu here.

SAVING: KADABRA, who will snap you into pieces with its mind.

040. HO-OH (#250)

IPB Image

Quickly! Ummmm....I'm thrilled that Ho-Oh ("guardian of the skies") has gotten into the Top 40, along with its duo counterpart, Lugia ("guardian of the seas"). Woohoo! :spaz: Highly worthy, imo. But I think it'll be an appropriate cut now. I respect this. I love these fabulous, dazzling, legendary birds though. <3

Now, they were the mascots of the Gen. II games' boxes: Gold & Silver. Ho-Oh was the mascot of Gold, which I played first, iirc? (Lugia was the mascot of Silver. Suicune represents Crystal, fwiw.) Back to Ho-Oh now! :teehee: It is known as the "Rainbow Pokémon", and is a dual-type Fire/Flying combo. It doesn't evolve into or from anything else.

IPB Image

In the Johto region, only ONE Ho-Oh can be captured. Rainbow Wing is required to meet it at the Tin Tower northeast of Ecruteak City. It is absolutely worth playing each game to obtain each one of this phenomenal twosome!

Well, it's been a wonderful run, and I'm pleased with its placement. We bid this majestic creature adieu here, in the Top 40! :w00twave:

SAVING: KADABRA, because it's magic! Wooooo~. :sorcerer:
