Wow so much happened here and I missed so much. Catching up now. :haha:

 

I can't find the link just yet and when I do I'll add it in, but I've seen some screenshots on Twitter of what seems to be a bonus press release, confirming everyone's songs, dances and redemption mentors. See below:

 

Lauren & Gleb

Paso Doble - "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson (mentor: Len)

Viennese Waltz - "Humble and Kind" by Tim McGraw

 

Ally & Sasha

Viennese Waltz - "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran (mentor: Len)

Charleston - "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Ray Chew Live

 

James & Emma

Cha-Cha - "Canned Heat" by Jamiroquai (mentor: Len)

Foxtrot - "Take Me to Church" by Hozier

 

Hannah & Alan

Rumba - "Dancing with a Stranger" by Sam Smith & Normani (mentor: Carrie Ann)

- Lol "Save the Best for Last" was the song I was most excited for this week and of course it's not even being danced to.

- Lauren's choices feel a little snoozy but I can see the Viennese Waltz being a great dance for her.

- Ally's Charleston is going to be amazing I already know it. Ally following Normani's footsteps by having an iconic Ray Chew-led semi-final dance! I don't care for "Perfect" but I think it's a nice choice for her.

- Interesting that James has been given Rumer's Foxtrot song. So excited for his Cha-Cha too

- Hannah's combo just seems perfect. Love the Rumba song, not as big a fan of the Contemporary song but it seems like a great choice for her and I can see her bringing a great/emotional performance.

- Kel's dances I'm not quite sure on yet. I feel like "Get Ready" better fits a Cha-Cha, but I'm excited for a Witney Contemporary.

LOL Well there goes the predicting the songs challenge now. :dead: I'll post some thoughts.

 

I like most of the song choices but do wish Kel and James had more traditional type songs for their ballroom routines. Looking forward to their dances regardless.

 

Do love Ally's song choices. Love Stronger and kinda thought of it for Lauren but wasn't sure for it for a Paso. Her VW should be beautiful.

 

Ooh and thank you DWTS using "Dancing for a Stranger" for a Rumba. Ugh I did not get it when Strictly used it for a Cha-Cha for Dev, which ended up getting him eliminated. It's perfect for a Rumba. And wow I was imagining a Contemporary to Hannah's song for the last few weeks, haha.

Well it’d be a crappy way to lose the only good contestant this season, but I don’t make the rules.

Yeah, I think I've completely underestimated his growth arc for sure. Because he landed in the bottom once I've kinda been waiting for him to end up there again.. but I hadn't really taken into consideration how he has made huge improvements from Week 3 til now (IMO the most improved). I did think this with the similarities of him and James too, and wondered if they could cancel each other out there... but FB seems to be fine in supporting both so hopefully translates to votes!

 

Another TL;DR - Kel's Kelly Monaco trajectory is now confirmed :wub:

Yeah agree with this. Kel has definitely improved from Week 4 onwards and noticed people were supporting more as te season progressed. I just didn't realize how much so. :omg:

 

Given the lyrics to the song, I feel like Hannah's Contemporary could very likely be about what happened with J*d after filming for The Bachelorette wrapped. I expect it to be a very emotional moment for her.

 

Witney with another "I Will Always Love You" Contemporary. She danced Contemporary to this song back when she was on SYTYCD. She always slays with her Contemporary choreography though, so I'm excited for it.

Oooh was totally thinking of this too. Wow this should be an amazing moment for her.

 

OMG I didn't even think of that. It will be crazy seeing her dancing to that song again after all of these years.

The Ally vs. Hannah fan war is about to get much worse, especially if the judges don't give Hannah any perfect scores next week while giving them to Ally again. :shiver:

Like, talented women are already pitted against each other enough. Why do we need to do the same here because the judges aren't good at their jobs? :dead:

I mean I’m not shocked because people randomly started a Heather/Tinashe fan war last year too, but yeah it’s boring and repetitive at this point :yawn:

I didn’t know Elliott disliked Ally since her X-Factor days. That explains a lot.

 

And I don’t really want a fan war over Ally & Hannah. So let’s all let it go. And I’ll try to follow my own advice.

Moreso Fifth Harmony rather than Ally herself. :P

I liked Normani on the show? :* And it’s hard to like Ally when whenever I (or Diana) comment that we find her scores too high compared to the scores the others are getting, it’s just us being a hater. So yeah, her fan base has made it hard for me to root for her on the show. #KanyeShrug

I think it’s more the way I perceived your comments that Ally got overly high scores that may have caused me to call you a hater. But let’s just let the whole thing go.

True regarding Normani, although I am sure Val helped with that. Understandable regarding the hater comment though. I do feel like you never really give Ally much credit, although I don't necessarily view that as being a hater. And I get that you don't think she's as good as the judges say. I can get that at the last sentence as that's happened to me with certain contestants on some shows too.

 

All in all, we rarely are ever on the same side regarding the DWTS fan wars. :dead: I do respect your opinion regardless of how much we disagree. :lol:
