i loved the song spoilers of the showcase (top 40). it told a lot of who the contestants are and what and how are their chances to move forward.

it seems more like talent recap list was out before mj. still i prefer mj list as is more informative and has all the links. and there are some that are on TR but not on mj because it is not confirmed how far they went.

ok so i missed my opportunity to send my top 10.. but how come summertime wasn't even mentioned? no one? in a dream? higher ground? mad world? cry baby? these are considered some of the best idol performances and none on the list. maybe i will make my list but damn i really don't like ranking.. can i just post my list w/o ranking?

Siobhan Magnus - Superstition - she never had any performance to remember or what idol is considering a moment. if you want something from season 9 then take casey james jealous guy. 026. David Archuleta - Angels - going to make some people angry but never really liked him. archie is the reason i don't like teens and kids on idol. he wasn't ready for prime time. season 7 had many others good performances like michael's we are the champions, it's all good and dream on. 025. Vonzell Solomon - Best Of My Love - from all of her performances i would have picked i have nothing. but one reason season 4 is one of my favs is because almost everyone in the top 10 had a chance to shine and give at least one memorable performance: jessica total eclipse of the heart, constantine bohemian rhapsody, anwar moonriver nadia you don't have to say you love me, bo in a dream and vehicle, carrie trouble and when god fearing women get the blues, sin wagon. 024. Janelle Arthur - I Will - out of a terrible season this is one and only i agree was good but not good enough for the A list. season 12 doesn't belong on that list. 023. Skylar Laine - Wind Beneath My Wings - i would have put gunpowder and lead instead. but season 11 had better than that like hollie's the climb and rolling in the deep. 022. Jessica Sanchez - Everybody Has A Dream - NO!! just please no!! 021. Clark Beckham - It's A Man's Man's Man's World - one of his best but out season 14 i would put jax bang bang or piece of my heart or you give love a bad name. 020. Jessica Meuse - The Crow & The Butterfly - FINALLY something i agree deserve to be on the list but also jessica's blue eyed lie. one of the best originals to be on the show. 019. Vonzell Solomon at least we got #1 in common. and yes performance is one of the best. vonzell also got yo close the show with that performance. that what i loved about season 4 that almost everyone on it had a chance to shine and get their best performance to close the show. season 4 wasn't perfect but it got top 3 right. and you still had some of the most memorable performances. hey here is an idea to rank the most memorable or best performances.

LaKisha Jones I actually agree on both kat and lakisha but i think gabby's was one of the better versions. she totally owned the song. so this means vonzell and jennifer are in your top 3.. vonzell had the best version. period. and it was her second WH song during the season and both were good.

005. Jennifer Lopez - didn't like that the camera had to be on her face all the time. even during the performances they had to film HER! 004. Kara DioGuardi - she used to get on my nerves easily. her joining the panel was what ruined the perfect chemistry that was before. i know she was supposed to replace paula but at the last moment she stayed. 003. Paula Abdul - she should be 2nd. 002. Keith Urban - not as good as you said. 001. Simon Cowell - basically the best judge. the one who wasn't afraid to say what people thought and he was funny for most parts. loved his analogies!! yet his comment on michael johns was out of the line and uncalled for. he made idol worth watching and everything after doesn't pale in comparison.

there's no brainer in ranking the judges. as anyone compared to simon is a pussycat.. yet i loved the original cast as they had chemistry. that was broken in season 8 when they added kara to the table. although some tried to be "harsh" or "constructive" no one managed to be as honest or brutal as simon did. 014. Steven Tyler - the only good part of him was the rhyme he did after scotty's audition. one of my favs lead singers from one of my favs bands but he was a lousy judge. 006. Randy Jackson - liked him until season 8. until then he actually had good comments to say with some constructive criticism.

phillip is a one hit wonder. as he had one hit and none of his albums sold much. i think your terms of success are different than mine. jordin had 1 hit as a duet with chris brown but none of her albums sold much. my point is none of those achieve the level of success of kelly, carrie, chris, adam.. it is merely miny-minor one..

Season 1 - AKA the kelly clarkson season.. but the best talent here came from the girls.. along with tamyra and nikki. 006. Season 3 - AKA the fantasia season.. she dominated the season and was clear why she won. also she got the best coronation single to date. still it could have ended very differently had jennifer hudson, latoya london, george huff and fantasia ended as the top 4.. 005. Season 6 - AKA the boring season.. none of the contestants were interesting or special. which always goes back to the discussion of being a good singer is NOT enough. you need an extra factor to attract the audience. how many of that season are still making music successfully!? adding the next set: well not much to add because 3 out of these are ranked as the best seasons.. if you replace season 11 with 8 then you get the best 4 seasons for me. 004. if there is one thing i DO agree with you is the ranking of the seasons. although i would have added season 6 to the bottom ranked as well. i think you stated very clear what was wrong with each season and it was discussed thoroughly and there is nothing more to add. 017. Season 12 - the worst season ever!! stopped watching and didn't bothered to come back. 016. Season 9 - i would have ranked it slightly higher but i get your point and being so lackluster. many good contestants were eliminated during the semis but most of all i think it was simon cowell that was clearly not interested in the show anymore or that he was having post paula abdul syndrome.. 015. Season 14 - like you mention the way they did the eliminations was terrible. the twitter save was terrible. the contestants were terrible. the finale was awful especially the way they eliminated jax.. 014. Season 13 - it had the strongest top 4 but many issues with the productions like the try to save to sam woolfe, twice! the semi finals format, the double standards regarding criticism: praising a guy for the same thing that they criticize a girl.. 013. Season 17 - lackluster and boring season. 012. Season 15 - although i loved the top 3 and it produced one of my most favored idols, there were too many things against, starting with the short season, double eliminations, being ignored completely at the finale and not being allowed to perform.. no tour. 011. Season 16 - it was a good start however the lack of criticism from the judges doesn't allow the contestant grow. 010. Season 2 - the one season i didn't watch and not interested to. 009. Season 10 - it had potential but got lost early on. this season suffered from the post simon cowell syndrome and made me miss him as a judge even more. it had a few highlights (paul mcdonald original song, james durbin singing heavy metal, steven tyler rhyme after scotty audition.. ) but too many downfalls that included the most lackluster finale. and thank you for keeping season 18 out of the ranking. i feel it COULD have been one of the best talent wise if it wasn't for the pandemic and the quarantine.

agree about Dalton. he is an incredible songwriter for his age but it wasn't shown much during the show. loved brooke white during her season and after but she kind of disappeared from the radar..
