I wouldn’t go,not worth it to me, but if you’re into sight seeing and the outdoors

then go ahead.  You probably can’t see the Statue of Liberty up close though if that ferry is canceled. I would’ve went last month when the Xmas decorations were up, sight seeing then would be worth it to me😛

I'm SO glad I went. I had a blast. Saw a number of drag shows and overall, walked close to 50 miles between four days! 😬

Every time I have to leave, I get so sad though. ❤️

    Hope you're doing ok still!

Aw, thank you! I am. Just some congestion leftover along with not being able to taste fully yet, but it's coming back or so it appears. I'm thankful I was able to take some time out of work just when I needed it the most too. Was getting burnt out. Hope you had a nice holiday!

  3. Well, I tested positive on Christmas Eve. Holy moly.

So far, it's been a fever, muscle aches, general fatigue, runny nose, congestion, loss of taste and smell started a few days later. I've actually felt worse before, but it's not fun. I'm glad I'm vaccinated. Probably would have been fine regardless due to my age but I still recommend everyone get the vaccine if it's feasible. Friends of mine that had cases before Thanksgiving still don't have their smell and taste back, which is kind of scary. Perfect for dieting, but yeah. 😅

He is completely delusional, and this is coming from someone who supported him last time. I’m not as high on him now as I was then.

How can one person be this unlikable? LOL. Though, I did see him during the 2016 race last time and he comes across much better in person than on TV. I can't explain why.

  5. It snuck up on me! ❤️ I will say, it doesn't entirely feel like Christmas for the second year in a row and it's my absolute favorite holiday. ❤️ I'm trying to get into the spirit though. So many aspects of life are so stressful right now. It's difficult to take the time and pause, you know?

  6. I was watching this doctor, I believe from Johns Hopkins on CNN yesterday discuss the possibility of an annual booster specifically to target the Omicron variant and even the hosts on there seemed exasperated. Like, what do you want us to do with this information? All I could think was - this is never, ever going to end. Further more, to take it to a political place, President Biden came into office promising to fix this. Former President Trump was knocked out of office because of COVID and I predict Biden will be held to account too, for inaction on COVID, for inflation. I think people in the country understand a single person can't wave a wand and cause a virus to just disappear, but the key is not overpromising and not delivering in the least. I don't know a single person that feels optimistic about the future and that's a problem. But hey, Pete Buttigieg got to be Transportation Secretary! There's that. 😅

  7. ^ The good old days! I loved your post. 🥰 I came a bit later on in May of 2005, the 19th to be exact - very evening Vonzell Solomon was eliminated from Season 4 and I cried like a baby.

I, too miss it when the show was all the talk around the water cooler. Literally, the finale matchup would be front page news and everything was so electric. Everyone wanted to talk about it! The contestants were extremely talented, the chemistry with the judges was once in a lifetime and will never be replicated in the same way.

Listening to the Zane Lowe interview now as I work, when she talks about her divorce ...it's just so relatable, at least for me and I'm sure for many of you. I haven't been married yet, but I have been in a long term relationship with various ups and downs and some very, very deep lows and doubts, many of which continue to this day. #tmisorry She's just such a real person as well, you rarely get this from an artist where not only will they tell you the story through their songs, but you find out so much  in interviews that sticks with you. ❤️

I thought about him but he's kinda forgettable. I tried to think of a dem politician who's younger than 70 and charismatic in Washington DC and I can't think of anyone.

Maybe one of the governors? How about Nancy's nephew? He just beat a recall and he seems to be aiming for the WH? Gavin Newsom could be a viable 2024 contender, and a couple of years in the WH would boost his profile a lot. Roy Cooper, two-term NC Governor, is another one who could also be viable in 2024 after a couple of years in the WH.

I think Newsom definitely has aspirations for higher office than Governor, so I'll echo that. I always thought he would become Governor someday and it happened. He looks like a politician, which is just a crazy reason to vote for someone but it undoubtedly happens. 😁

He’s the definition of a lightweight.

I like his personality. He comes across as a nice guy, even if it is a bit of an Obama impression, essentially. But yes, it would help to have actually had some semblance of experience with the department which you're heading.

Fox News reported whispering in Washington that the Biden admin wants to replace Kamala, due to her unpopularity and gaffes. Their reasons are understandable, but there’s also a lot of delicious irony here. It would need to be confirmed in the House and Senate.

Shame to go through all that effort and keep Sheriff Joe. 🤨

  12. Can we talk for a moment about how flawless Brooke Lynn is? 😍 Even though I love Ru beyond words, I echo the sentiment expressed that he's not on the panel in Canada. I think the show just works flawlessly. ❤️
