  1. Its impressive but there's a lot of auto tuning and air brushing in these ore recorded performances . We'll see what's real ...
  2. It was definitely entertaining and he's talented but his style coupled with his age means he's not marketable
  3. I'm not sure what the Idol contract is exactly like but I think on shows like this they own everything you ever wrote even before the contract. And the contracts are long and take over your artistic control. Even success stories like Kelly Clarkson, a large chunk of her music is not authentically her. I wouldn't sign
  4. Ok then you are not nearly as unbiased as you like to pretend. But enjoy the circle jerk I suppose,
  5. Yes but the point is the right is going after Jackson for small potatoes quotes and trying to get sound bites (hi Ted Cruz). Yet they have no problem with Clarence Thomas deciding to rule in a case that is a clear conflict of interest. Judge Thomas is probably kinda a nutcase too lets be honest.
  6. I have a hunch that the people here against Judge Jackson are gonna be just fine with Thomas ruling on Jan 6 hearings
  7. I agree if you are male to female trans gender you probably shouldn't compete in sports for fairness sake. But if you legislate against this its an easy case to be made for discrimination. And actually transgender people that transition are less than 1 percent of the population. It doesn't make sense to legislate such a rare scenario
  8. Its a difficult issue. If she had gone on puberty blockers and didn't go through male puberty then I'd say its probably ok but clearly this isn't the case here. You could solve this by changing it to female swimming league or male swimming league and that way its separated by biological sex. But a trans person can turn that around and say that your barring them from competition in the same way that hay people were barred from marriage or women were barred from having certain rights
  9. I'm sure the bill doesn't say "gay" but it does state that beyond K-3 any talk beyond the child's perceived development is banned. What does that even mean? Who decides? Can someone decide a 15 year old is not mature enough to know homosexuality or trans people exist? Its probably a mistake for Republicans to cater to evangelicals again. Bush did that and that is one of the big reasons Democrats got smashed in 2008. Even a lot of Christians now a days dont have the same rigid beliefs as 50 years ago. They had a good thing going with being against the covid authoritarianism but now they're going back to their roots. Not to mention, most of Florida is not culturally Southern. The Evangelical thing is not as popular here. Not to mention its lost all credibility in the party of Trump
  10. I cant even find the bill itself to read. But from my understanding from friends its very vague. It prohibits discussion that is "considered to be age inappropriate". What does that even mean? Its so arbitrary. I think its just another fear grab by Republicans, their MO. Because I dont see any evidence that 5-8 year olds learn anything about sexuality in the classroom And no I cant verify that some wacky tick tock video is an actual teacher or not But also Democrats and Republicans seem to have very different ideas about parental rights. The standard conservative line of thinking is that if a student comes out in school the parent should have the right to know. And I don't agree with that. There are a lot of parents that are terrible people and that could be a bad situation.
  11. Its very sad about Ukraine and I do care. But I'm starting to hear hints from people about going to war. Probably more are coming from the Democrat side which used to be the party of peace. The majority of the time when we intervene in foreign conflicts or impose our will on conflicts we make things worse. If this starts to get to Hilter level then kill the bastard but until then...
  12. Honestly I just walked to my local grocerry store on the outskirts of the city and there was trash all over the place like that within a few hundred feet of the store. And I dont live downtown or what I would consider to be a ghetto area. I think its just America--to be frank a large chunk of Americans everywhere are self centered and hate to walk to the nearest trash can. Its a common sentiment in America that if it doesn't convenience me then I don't care. Its a sickness of American culture
  13. For the first time in my life I'm thankful for my autism diagnosis. It just might prevent me from being drafted!
  14. Regarding campaigns, Republicans dont actually offer anything and have to resort to fear tactics to get votes. That's why they do stuff like that Dont say Gay Bill and Anti CRT (which Im against CRT too). They dont have any policies to offer people so they have to lobby based off what they're against
  15. This is getting silly. I'm against what the Democrats seem to believe about covid vaccines but if your job is telling you to get the vaccine just get it or find a different job that works for you better. All this damn drama

    Poor Cincy. Congrats Rammies
  17. I would argue that the main cause of inflation is COVID and the labor/ work shortages. For most people are response to COVID has been a net negative
  18. Honestly, I haven't followed them much. Crist is my rep and he's milquetoast. I really don't know if I will vote. 4 years ago I was really invested in the mayor race and this time I didn't even bother to vote. I've been kind of disgusted with how little Democrats have done with the house and Senate advantages. I know Sinema and Manchin are making things hard but there's ways to hold them to the fire if Dems actually cared. I will say Democrats have a real branding problem. They've only switched places with the Republicans of the 2000s and are now the party of the elites.
  19. But apart from the COVID supply chain crisis, problems with inflation are caused by free market Republicans. Bush's free market policies were the cause of the last inflation crisis and housing crash

So it just came out that the Dolphins-at least in the past-rigged their games. For the first time, I'm actually starting to believe the NFL might be one big, scripted reality show
  21. https://www.wcpo.com/news/national/cnn-president-jeff-zucker-resigns-says-he-failed-to-properly-report-workplace-relationship?fbclid=IwAR09sSvwBokNp0C7wljAUFedRSfJIohul0vcuvK_1_yGH0XpDS3WBeX7qb0 Cnn is just as cancerous as Fox news.
  22. No just more disillusioned with Democrats. But I'm not becoming MAGA or anything. The policies don't appeal to me at all.
  23. I don't really follow all of Aoc's beliefs. She is a rep from the Bronx and doesn't have any affect over my life. The ones running the party are Pelosi, Sinema and Machin. All basically just republicans that are slightly more liberal socially. They are the ones blocking the limited good Biden would be capable of doing
  24. What exactly they define progressive as? Is progressive something like Bernie from 2016 that would call for Medicare for all free healthcare, more populism? Or is progressive the identity politics focused crowd who talk a lot about white privilege, abortion rights, and defunding the police? Because those people are actually economically moderate or conservative. That is the type of Democrats most companies are. They like to hang BLM signs and rainbow flags because its easy but don't care about stagnant wages and escalating cost of living. I actually think someone like James Carville would be in the latter. He's an elitest.
  25. That's fair. I don't have all the education on the subject and its something I didn't understand the fuss about. I wonder if that is something the cities are doing rather than the Republican party
