  1. Right but you said Americans are pro life. Majority of us believe restrictions should be placed on third terms (Though tbh most late term abortions are for medical emergencies. It makes no sense to go through the hell of pregnancy for six, seven eight month and then have it all be for nothing) When you meant pro life you meant against virtually all instances and that is not the case. Some of these laws the states are introducing are insane. Louisiana is effectively making birth control illegal. You can get charged with homocide for taking the morning after pill. This is like Islamic territory level stuff.
  2. IDF cracks me up because they loved Grace last year and she had the same cliche song choices/singing styles. All about gender roles.
  3. A solid majority of Americans are satisfied with Roe v Wade. I'm pretty sure you actually know this but want to legislate your morality. https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2021/05/06/about-six-in-ten-americans-say-abortion-should-be-legal-in-all-or-most-cases/
  4. I wonder why a lot of these companies are getting into social issues the past few years. It doesn't seem to be a winning strategy and the people in high places in these companies are hard core capitalists that love money. Like I'm far from American conservative or MAGA and I didnt need to identify more with the orange m and m and did not ask for the Green m and m to be less sexy. I dunno if anyone really did. During March Madness I kept on seeing commercials for trans women in sports. Like...I dont think that's really gonna catch on with the audience
  5. It doesn't seem like it would be too hard to do. Whatever outlet first leaked the story just look through their phone records and see who they were talking to
  6. Poor people just cant up and move. And even middle class need more than a few weeks to do so. Also... if conservatives dont like public schools they can home school or send their kids to public/charter schools who needs the parental rights bill? Oh darn...
  7. Do you really think MS, the quintessential Bible Belt, state would stop there. I trust Florida to--maybe. Although Iowa has a heartbeat bill and that's not bible belt either
  8. I know the decision would not outlaw abortions but still if you are a poor woman in a state like say MS (surrounded by red states) then it basically is a ban If this happens get ready for things to go down like they do in the Phillipines just saying... https://m.facebook.com/watch/?v=460209384777205&_rdr
  9. I'm just saying I could see them trying it. Not that it would work Whatever you want to believe about the "groomer" thing. If I was a teacher I would not put a student in that situation. If that makes me a groomer then so be it. This was never a thing like two years ago. I highly doubt the school system has changed much since I was in public school let alone in the past 2 years. Just red meat for you minions
  10. Ah so now its clear to me what this weird and sudden uproar about talks of gender and sexuality in schools entails (Btw, that bill also tells teachers they must out a student and not hide a student's gender identity/sexuality from parents) Its because Republicans know banning gay marriage is little more controversial in right wing circles than abortion access. The "parental rights' bill is to turn the tide of public opinion against the LGBT community. After this goes through they will set their sights against gay marriage next There may be even some movement to try to leave interracial marriage to the states too but I dont think that would fly
  11. we're all connected...If there are more people in poverty, homeless, etc it makes you less safe, makes your property value go down etc
  12. Men always have an advantage on both Idol and The Voice but yet 9/10 times the women end up having more fruitful careers. Ironically, to have woman have a better chance at these shows I think there needs to be a voting cap on phone owned by women
  13. That is true that corporations like Blackrock are buying up whole neighborhoods. They could put a stop or a limit to that. No raising wages wont lower housing prices. But it will help those that are struggling to pay rent make ends meet and could push someone over the top to home ownership down the line. Better public transportation could also help especially with the rising gas prices Something needs to be done and Desantis doesnt care- I'm j ust sayin. I'm a single person middle class and if I renewed my rent for a basic apartment things were going to get tight in the next couple years at the rate things are going. I was just lucky enough to get a good deal on a property and got a fixed mortgage. But many aren't so lucky or dont have the resources saved up for that. Metro Tampa/St Pete has a huge homeless problem and We actually had the highest homeless population in the country for a while until the Catholic diocese built a large shelter.
  14. There's definitely things that can be done. Put a cap on percent of rent hikes. Rent is going up 25 percent yearly or even more. I know long time Floridians that are being forced out of the metro and even suburbs and forced to redneck land where there are few good jobs You can also raise wages. We still have southern wages and prices aren't southern We also have some of the highest food prices in the area and there's no excuse for it in a climate that has plenty of sun and rain. There's no need to continually have to get produce from South America. I could go on...
  15. So maybe this would temper some of the Desantis adoration https://www.cbsnews.com/news/florida-least-affordable-state-us-miami-tampa-orlando-naples/?fbclid=IwAR0K6Di8CeVS3ljEtXSpCjN0gpF04LQUCUxGXQ9VTNcFN66p35YqEQt507A#l2hmkmuc9002skcipt4
  16. That's a bad idea if you are going to be in charge of a supposedly non biased, politically charged social media like Twitter to post your political beliefs. It really calls into question you're objectivity. Not that I would trust a billionaires ethics and morals to be doing this for the right reason anyway.
  17. Oh please . I'm old enough to know conservatives for the first decade of this century used anti gay marriage as one of their main if not main rallying point. The social stuff goes back even as far as Nixon and the civil rights movement Even if you disagree with gay marriage or trans genderism I really don't see how it affects your day to day life. At the worst, some wacky teacher some where might hypothetically convince a kid their trans when they aren't. Hanging your hat on something like that is Biden saying he should be re elected just cause he let like 5 trans people join the military. I just don't get the I think something is unethical so it should be illegal.Im vegan and generally speaking I think eating animal products is wrong. Does that mean all animal farming should be outlawed?
  18. France is more liberal than most of America. Although from what I've heard of La Pen she is actually quite a bit worse from Trump as far as beliefs go. She wanted to even ban Muslims from wearing the hijab in public which is pretty gross
  19. Point is the right's leaders engage in this culture war and cultural conservatism because its a distraction and they have nothing else of substance to offer people in every day life. On top of that, many times times they dont adhere to the values they even espouse. #Grifters
  20. Well Madison, to answer your question even though I'm an evil LGBT person, no, I've never worn that kind of attire. I mean, its ok for me if you do. You're comments on the subject are a little puzzing, however https://www.politico.com/news/2022/04/22/madison-cawthorn-photos-00027286 Madison Cawthorn dismisses 'goofy vacation photos' showing him in lingerie - Washington Times Madison Cawthorn calls for mothers to raise ‘monster’ men in terrifying speech against ‘demasculation’ | The Independent To Conservatives, I hope you are starting to understand your politicians dont care about the real issues and are just posturing pieces of shit that are offering you distractions
  21. lol these shows are really reaching now. She's definteley not a struggling musical theatre artist..I mean she's sung with David Foster. It would be like a moderately successful pop star from recently like Alessia Cara auditioning.
  22. Growing up Evangelical can be a difficult thing to break. Religion is a safe tribe for many and the threat that you just might go to hell for dissenting is risk enough to not leave.
  23. And also let it forever be known--conservatives love cancel culture just as much as the left!
  24. So silly. Masks have very little efficacy. Anything to earn virtue points though.
