Edit: Most of the time contestants reveal in interviews/podcasts/ IG lives after the show about which songs they picked or if a coach was really passionate about it or if TPTB was the one pushing for it. If it really mattered to ya'll and ya'll paid attention, its not that hard to figure out. You can even DM them, sometimes they reply. Like John Holiday said in an interview that John Legend was the one who picked Halo for him, and Legend was really excited about him doing it.

Literally though. Poor dude had his first season in covid . And the lives which are probably the most exciting part for the coaches he sat in a big red chair at home . But i'm glad he came back a second time because I felt like he improved a bit. But would rather see a brand new coach than have him on for a 3rd time. Actually I would be glad if John sat out a season too. I miss when they used to swap 2 coaches out.

She's pretty bland entertainment wise. Mostly only turns after someone else turns and when its her turn to talk she gets nervous and unsure and fidgety but when John is talking she always interjects and interupts him. Saw another poster said this and I agree "like a kid at an adults table", and it has nothing to do with their actual ages. She's on the same level as Nick for me. I hardly feel her actual presence at all on the coaching panel (not referring to online fanbase). All her reactions up till now feels very calculated and put on. Coaches comments wise i'll wait for the battle rounds. The resident Arianator in here would probably take issue with this .
