  1. It's not working for me here and a New Years resolution is to spend my time more productively than on forums so either a ban or deletion would be perfect. Thanks.
  2. Good luck with the game then - that's me out of IDF permanently. Not wasting one more second of my precious life on a place with this much toxicity and judgement of people.
  3. Does being a Republican = a bad human? I certainly wasn't taught to judge people like that (I'm not on either side) but go for it...
  4. I don't think it should be valid to eliminate people based on their political beliefs though (which has clearly happened in this thread, and in Candace's case, presumed beliefs) - that's as bad as Spicer's fans voting him through each week because of politics. And it's almost as if everyone can only have one opinion and anyone with opposing opinions is a terrible human - that seems judgemental to me.
  5. Surely hate is reserved for criminals, dictators and not a TV dancer? Sorry but some of your comments come across unkind, it's almost as if it's personal.
  6. Is this thread about the worst dancers, worst on show personalities or those deemed problematic?
  7. Not been active on here for a while but Happy New Year all! Quick thoughts on the series: Good that Oti has a win with someone other than KF. Not gonna lie though that I'm bored of her always getting contenders or middlers - she's been on 6 series and never had an obvious early boot. Time for one next series. Bill wasn't my favourite winner ever but he did deserve it as he developed throughout the season, was a decent dancer and gave it his best so I commend him for that and I think a high profile older celeb winning will be good for the show long term (they might be able to book some more interesting celebs). Loved HRVY & Maisie throughout the season, both fabulous dancers and produced the standout routines, glad they were cast this year. Well done to Janette for finally making a final and Gorka for another round of great choreo, hoping he wins next year as he's the best male pro IMO. Jamie was good fun - what 2020 needed so I have no issues with him being in the final and he did progress well. Great partnership with Karen. Ranvir was overrated IMO, never really produced much standout dances. Some good ballroom but was lucky to make it so far without doing Latin much as the ones she did were poor (Cha Cha & Jive). Seemed really nice though and she did dance better than I expected. Also time for Giovanni to get a duffer. JJ was my least favourite male - I never was keen on Amy and I found these two as dull as dishwater plus got the easiest ride from production in terms of dances. Not really that good but coasted along. Clara was fun - wish she'd stayed longer and gained her mojo back but two poor dances in a row meant she was toast. Yet more dull choreo from Aljaž, I think his time is up. I honestly wonder if Clara may have progressed better in Latin with another pro. Caroline least favourite female for the way she behaved towards Johannes - he was clearly uncomfortable in that partnership and she just seemed bossy. OK dancer but not amazing. Max seemed nice but suffered too much from nerves, wish we got more of Jason who was lovely (not convinced Luba can cut it as a teaching pro), Jacqui was the token duffer. Nicola didn't seem to mesh with Katya (who usually has great partnerships) and her dances felt the same each week so whilst the circumstances were unfortunate, I wasn't too upset to see her out. I want Anton to judge next season, his time is up as a competing pro and I feel he did a good job as a judge. Filled Len's void nicely, got a sense of humour, can give reasonable comments. Send Bruno or Motsi packing.
  8. Interesting... Back to the original network and from what I read, they're trying to get back the old hosts and some of the old judges. I don't think any of our 3 judges from last year will be back - CRH & Sharna are both abroad (Australia is really hard to get into ATM, as Dianne from Strictly has found out) and Tristan is now contracted to Network 10. The pros could probably transfer shows easily, some of them already did do both the Seven & Ten versions. I guess it would be a good way to get some celebs working again given everything that's gone on so many might say yes.
  9. Anyone else not feeling the Nicola & Katya partnership any more? It just feels like the show are trying to avoid them doing any of the 'romantic' styles which is disappointing plus they don't seem like a good personality match. Nicola is your average athlete, a bit tomboyish and a quieter personality whereas Katya is wacky and is best fit with the celebs who are game to try anything (Ed & Mike from her past seasons are prime examples). Maybe she'd have been a better partner for Jason? (talking purely hindsight here). Or either Jamie or HRVY? I wonder if Nicola may have fit better with someone else (maybe Dianne?).
  10. So much for that being Cheryl's winning season - it's been 14 years since she held the MBT and 7 years since she made a finale. I don't think she'll be a pro next season for a number of reasons but I wonder why she hasn't won in 26 seasons?
  11. Sucks for Jason, I think he had more to give. At least his name is out there now and people will have taken notice of his personality so that he can get more work. All the best to him. Not sure what to make of Luba at this point - a first and second boot in a pro's first 2 series is a pretty dismal record. Obviously James was rubbish but I feel that Jason had all the right ingredients to be a good celeb. Saw a couple of people saying that they want her with a ringer next year but I feel that a pro has to earn one and if you can't hack it with a middler, why should you get a ringer?
  12. With a score of 12 and a gap of 7 points between him and everyone else, I think Jason is toast. I don't see him having the votes to dig himself out of the dance off in this situation. Luba's choreo hasn't been that good, overall really disappointed in their partnership as I had really high hopes. Scoring was crazy tonight.
  13. Hopefully they'll actually announce 4th & 5th place at least. If there are 4 runners up, I might write to the BBC because people pay money to vote and it's a joke not to let them know where their favourite ends up. You can't have 4 people in 2nd place in cast of 12.
  14. Not an Aljaž fan so I hope that doesn't happen. Also dubious if Clara will get the votes - Dev last year was also a good dancer and had journey contestant potential yet went out Week 4. Similar thing with Spoony back in 2006 and pretty much every Radio person has went out early regardless of ability. If nobody catches up to Maisie & HRVY or at least comes close, it could well be one of them. I'd go with Maisie because Gorka is one of the pros who I'd love to get an MBT.
  15. Who do we think will be walking away with the trophy at the end of the season?
  16. I wonder if Jason might be an Emmitt Smith - good at latin (particularly things like Cha Cha), not so much at ballroom. After all, I'm surely not the only person who remembers Emmitt's Week 3 Tango?
  17. Overall thoughts: Jamie - OK, bit under marked based on rest of the routines. Not fond of the choreo but he has some natural movement. Caroline - elegant, nice dancer but she annoyed me a bit. Interested to see her have a go at latin. Max - some mistakes and seemed nervous but generally executed the routine well. Clara - she's great fun. Good mover, good performer. Technique seemed OK but not amazing. Jacqui - I still dread to see her latin but this was OK except for the large amounts of time wasting. JJ - OVERMARKED round 1! Nice Waltz but the judges were sucked in by his story. Didn't seem like a natural mover and Amy did most of the dancing. Maisie - she slayed it! Just knew that she would be great and I'm so excited for this partnership. Jason - love his personality and he has a natural groove but this choreography was awful, Luba really should have put in more dancing in hold. Ranvir - OVERMARKED round 2! Clever routine, she had the character nailed down but the actual dancing was meh. Never 7's. Nicola - great routine from Katya, liked that the show just focused on the dancing instead of it being the first same-sex pairing. Nicola is light on her feet and will definitely progress far Bill - what we needed, a bit of fun to help us through a dreadful year. HRVY - was excited to see him on the show and he did not disappoint, guy is a fabulous dancer! Janette, don't mess it up please! You have a real chance at a final here.
  18. I'd love Nancy to get a partner but jury is out on what to expect with her choreo and teaching so I don't think putting her with HRVY would have been a good idea. I'm generally wary of complete newbies getting ringers on their first go in case they end up flopping as pros (e.g. Graziano and to a lesser extent, Nadiya and Karen's first seasons). She'll probably get a celeb next year as I think that this is Janette's last series and they've given her HRVY to go out on a high.
  19. Totally agree, a bit annoyed that mega ringer HRVY gets Janette. I wish he'd have got another pro and could have done some really amazing routines since he is talented and I just don't think we'll see that. What a waste, if only Strictly would learn to give the ringers to pros who can get the best out of them. That said, I wonder if their 'styles' may suit. Not a whole lot of ballroom there . On the other hand, I could definitely see a great Cha Cha, Samba, Salsa, Jive, Charleston, Couple's Choice & Showdance from them. I imagine they'll skip Rumba and will probably do around 2 or 3 ballrooms in the season (with probably one being American Smooth).
  20. Anton doing a routine to Monty Python? Poor Jacqui, I'm really cringing at that routine and I've not even saw it yet.
  21. I'm genuinely curious as to why she deserves a pro spot over those who have danced ballroom & latin since they were kids - Sharna, Cheryl, Peta, Daniella, Jenna, Emma, Lindsay and Witney. We might not like all of them but they are very qualified to be pros on the show. Jenna might not have made it as a full time pro without Val but at least she has a lot of experience in ballroom & latin. That's 8 pros, there will only be 7 spots anyway and presuming that Britt is back, that's only 6 so for Hayley to get a pro spot, neither Lindsay & Witney can return or one of the long termers have to leave. I asked on Twitter and got this response: To that I have to question if she's able to effectively teach a beginner and choreograph for them? After all, that's the job of a DWTS pro?? Didn't Malene Østergaard give her a lot of help on Juniors? That tweet also talks rubbish - she "devoted" 7 seasons and 4 tours as if it was for charity, she got paid like everyone else did!
