It may be an unpopular opinion, as I haven't seen them mentioned yet: Amy Vachal and Lilli Passero.

Jershika is climbing up a lot!
Where are you seeing this? I think I might be looking in the wrong place, because here it says Hailey is #98 and Wendy is #100.

Well, I guess I'm back to the Voice because of Ariana. Anything interesting happen since Chevel won? That was the last episode I saw.
Maelyn. The utter destruction of Team Adam in S16 after the Reagan Strange debacle was a pretty interesting moment too, albeit disappointing.

Pick a coach: Blake Shelton
Mega Mentor: Kelly Clarkson
Former Voice Winner: Chloe Kohanski
Contestant from season 17: I didn't really like anybody.
Who should have won: Lauren Duski. -

Think about the last 4 seasons (including this one as much as I hate to say it) S17,S18 and now S20 (likely) are all country adjacent winners. Even tho it isn’t a majority, it is something present lately. A trend. Ariana could easily change that tbh
If you're speaking on a recent trend, we agree. And I do think Ariana can break that trend, since I don't see her getting country singers away from Blake. Maybe the younger ones, but that's about it. So if she wins, it will be with someone from a different genre.

This is really about to shake up the game. Cant wait S21 winner to be someone other than a Middle Aged white country/country-adjacent male thanks ari
What? The show has had 19 completed seasons and in only 4 of them the winner has been a country/country-adjacent male. And that is if you count Todd and Swayer, which I don't. If you count the girls, the number rises to 6 out of 19, less than a third and a much lower number than what it would have to be to explain this jadedness.
Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure Ariana is going to win her rookie season. I can't wait to see IDF fall in love with the idea of voting for coaches, not contestants.

Chloe Kohanski defeated Ashland as soon as she sang the first line. And since I like Blake, I'm glad Miley didn't agree.

Blake taking Dave instead of Michael through was the one time I was mad at his choices.

RJ Collins and Quizz Swanigan still have nightmares about Chris Blue.

Jessie J would suck.

I thought Adam would never do something more stupid than letting Josh go. But then there was DeAndre...

Come on, NBC. Be daring and bring Ricky Wilson! America doesn't know him, but they will love him!

I really want to know if Blake did a 1-2 again.

All three girls in the season 13 finale deserved the win. Chloe just deserved it more.

It's quite crazy how 5 girls ended up in the IS. I mean, there was a girl slaughter tonight. Something has got to be done, but I dunno what it'll be!
Agreed. They got to do better. Maybe we'll have a 50% women in the finale next season, then. Like, you know, last season.
-
Hoping for a Allegra, Thunderstorm, Joanna, Todd and Megan/Zan finale.

I was going to mention season 5 but I only watched it years after the fact, so the ones I saw week by week and wasn't very engaged with are the last three. Simply because, although the banter between coaches has been consistently entertaining, I haven't loved a single singer in the last few seasons. I'm looking forward to the next Chloe or Kyla.

This would've been an ideal season for Adam. Since everything is prerecorded, he wouldn't be rambling on for three minutes and then choose who to save two seconds before the show ends. And more importantly, he wouldn't be putting his foot in his mouth.
It wouldn't stop him from giving his singers the worst songs to "challenge" them.
-
I have a couple.
- Amy Vachal, Lilli Passero and Deanna Johnson were overrated singers that excelled in their Blind Auditions but never reached that level again.
- Sundance Head and Craig Wayne Boyd are way more deserving winners than IDF thinks.

Blake tends to pick boring/awkward song choices for his duets in the finale, ex: Danielle, Aliyah Moulden, Lauren Duski, Chloe. That been said, he is the best coach, gets the job done with his contestants, picks songs that will benefit them and appeal to the audience, and overall is usually the least prone to make dumb decisions(many will disagree because of personal taste, but let´s face it, the mistakes that he does make hasn´t actually cost him the competition, unlike Adam with Josh Kaufman or Miley with Chloe)
Also unpopular, I´m not a fan of Blake´s music at all but the guy can sing, check out his cover of She Talks to Angels and his duet with Xtina. When he wants, he can throw down.
I actually like his duets with Lauren and Chloe, and his choice for the latter was predictable since there wasn't much he could do that was more her lane. I agree with the other two you mentioned, and I specially agree with your comments about his voice. He is one of my favorite singers.

How in the hell did Blake ever win then, let alone 6 times? Not saying he is a terrible singer, but none of his duets were good iirc
Funny enough, his duets with his winners were not as good as the ones he had with other finalists. And Blake won 6 times because he is the best coach, specially when it comes to song choices and song executions.
Yes, I know that's a very unpopular opinion in a forum that doesn't seem to be into country music.

Since he was so shocked by Roderick's performance, I'd suggest googling "Male R&B singer" to Blake. He can also Google "When The Party's Over cover The Voice" to watch a bunch of male pop singers doing the Lewis Capaldi version.
What other singers do with that song is irrelevant to his point. He was shocked by Roderick because he was a one chair turn and thus, the expectations were lower. It had nothing to do with his gender.
Best Top 2?

Didn't expect S5's top 2 to be this popular. I would put Chris & Lauren there instead, but I still would vote for Chloe & Addison.
