7 singles in 10 years I think is a better way to look at it. When a Thomas Rhett collaboration only went Top 30 despite the early push for it on radio, I was worried that Danielle would lose her label support. But I'm glad BMLG kept her. Despite the lack of radio success after THOD, her label continued to support her by releasing more songs, and some were released to radio.

As to why staying with BMLG, Danielle and her team decides what's best for her based on the options available to them. All I can do is support her anyway I can and not second guess their decisions, including staying with a label that I think has been supportive of her and her music.

RE other singing show alumni, Scotty was dropped by his Idol label, went label-less for a bit, then signed with an indie label. His enormous success is not because of the change in label, but he finally got songs that radio supported. Cassadee was dropped by BMLG years ago, went indie and nowhere. Now she went back to pop-rock.

Then you have someone like Corey Kent who has been gigging all over US for several years after The Voice, was in the process of getting a non-music job to support his growing family, then struck gold with a cover of a Canadian country song. Now he's signed by Sony, touring with Aldean, and releasing new singles and albums at an accelerated pace.

One successful song can make a lot of difference.

I think Danielle is one of the fortunate ones among singing show alumni, in terms of still having a label that supports her. Even though some of her fans think BMLG's support is a bit lacking, it's better than zero label. I won't be surprised if there are many singers who would like to trade places with Danielle when it comes to her career situation.

As much as I’ve been known to complain about Big Machine, I completely agree with all these points. Do I think things might be better at a different label? Potentially, but there’s always the unknown and we aren’t seeing the full picture. In my opinion, her streaming success is where she really shines. I’ve been curious as to why they haven’t pivoted to adjust, but streaming is still (relatively) new, and the country music industry is still so dominated by radio.

I will say that I know that many people working at Big Machine are rooting for her success, but the decisions on releasing music and where promo dollars are allocated is not really in their control. Danielle wouldn’t have re-signed with them recently if she didn’t think it was in her best interest, and sometimes it’s better to go with the devil you know and not the one you don’t.

I hope you're right. But I remember that when THOD, Sway and GS were on their radio run, Danielle didn't release a new music for several months, at least not during the singles' radio runs.

My thoughts on this: ASP just got 7 more adds. I don't think they're gonna pull it, they barely got ASP to radio like 5 months after it was released. My guess is someone really pushed for the song(s?) to be released and so they're going for it. Danielle does much better on streaming platforms anyways.

I looked for a setlist image on Twitter and IG but didn't see any. I think bradberynews usually posts the video in a playlist (could be in setlist order).  I saw a Twitter thread (from Brian D'Angelo) with a few song snippets and another YT user (Jennifer Caldwell) posted 5 songs from last night including 2 new songs.

    Monster [NEW]
The Day That I'm Over You [NEW]
    Baby [Justin Bieber Cover]
    Break My Heart Again
    Human Diary [from IDBWM]

    Runaways [New-ish]
    A Special Place
    Title Unknown [Really great vocals]

Sorry for the delay, been a crazy 24 hrs

Danielle can wear any color of clothes, and it will look great on her.

Currently trying to upload my screen recording of it, but it went as follows:

    Stop Draggin Your Boots

    Never Have I Ever

    Potential

    Red Wine + White Couch

    Break My Heart Again

    Sway

    Worth It

I saw that. I interpreted it as the release being in-between pre-DB3 and the DB3 era. Your explanation makes more sense though. 😅

I think it could be taken either way! Either way, her manager posted about closing the chapter so I’m guessing we are (completely?) departing from what Danielle has done in the past.

I have been trying to push along any progress in the album front by taking on posting 1 TikTok video a day until we got an album. I made it to day 35 until the collection was announced, and I plan on continuing until we reach what I would classify as the real DB3. Hopefully they didn’t think the collection would shut me up 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am excited to have F-150 again though, for good this time.

If you are interested in seeing the TikToks - it’s the same username as mine on here.

Omg, I didn’t watch it yet. Yessssss!

I sure hope it is! This would be her 4th single since IDBWM (if we don't count Shallow). But I also thought it was interesting that the host talked about a new album coming this year and she just kind of laughed and they moved on... hope this isn't another "The Naked EP" situation like pre-IDBWM.

Also, super excited for Break My Heart Again tonight! At all the concerts I attended since she first sang it a year ago, it seemed like the audience were all (or mostly) captivated by it. I had a lot of people around me asking how I knew the song, if I knew where they could find it, etc. so I am cautiously optimistic about this one.
