  1. Speaking of Kelly and her ex, she recently won a countersuit against him and Starstruck (management company) with the California Labor Commission saying he illegally acted as an agent in procuring gigs for her. Billboard posted the court ruling on that and it goes into detail how her initial deal with NBC/The Voice came together over a 3 day period and how it played into her talk show. Some might be interested in it. Time: May 7 - May 9, 2017 Players: B = Brandon, Kelly's ex, ex-manager, Blake's manager at the time; CAA = her agency, which includes her music agents: Darryl Eaton and Rick Roskin; Carson = Cat Carson, Kelly's agent for unscripted television; David Byrnes = Kelly's longtime lawyer who reviews all her contracts, also Blake's lawyer; Paul Telegdy = former NBC president of alternative programming; compound = The Voice on the NBC lot On May 7th, Brandon was going to LA to meet with Blake and be there for the live filming that week. That same day is when Idol/ABC announced they were bringing the show back and had included Kelly in their press release that sent people into a frenzy thinking she was going to be a judge. At that time she had received no such offer nor had been asked to be on it. B and CAA were to meet the next day regarding the press release, but they seemed to agree that an offer was forthcoming. May 8th: B met with the CAA agents about the press release and more about the offer they were anticipating. Carson intro'd B to the agent that brought Idol to ABC to discuss what an acceptable offer would be for Kelly to be a judge on Idol. B was told to get Blake's deal terms with The Voice to compare what other networks were offering on these shows. That evening B obtained that info from David Brynes. At some point after that, talks with NBC began. This is the text B sent David Byrnes, "NBC is reaching out about Kelly & the Voice for the spring, WTF is going on!!!!" David told him to see what they were offering. CAA is not involved with this. May 9th: B contacted Paul Telegdy to leverage the anticipated Idol deal into a comparable The Voice deal. B then contacted CAA (Carson) about this new potential deal mid-day. Later he called Carson telling her that a deal would be offered for The Voice and she informed B that she had been talking with ABC and a formal offer would be coming from them too. That evening B and Telegdy agreed to terms over several calls that didn't involve anyone from CAA. The second call included Lee Straus the EVP of business affairs at NBC. Telegdy offered x amount of dollars all-in per season at The Voice, B accepted. B texted Brynes with the deal then texted Carson. The Blackstocks (B and Narvel) and the CAA agents then went out for a big dinner. It also goes on like this for her talk show. When Kelly was last on Ellen's show in April 2018, they did a bit where they switched roles and it became "The Kelly Show." Right after this taping Kelly, Carson, and B met with the producers of Ellen's show and they expressed interest in having Kelly succeed Ellen as the host. There was no timeline for that to happen yet and Ellen would stay on as a producer whenever it did. After this meeting, Carson reminded B and the other agents that NBC had to be contacted about this proposal since Kelly had signed an exclusive deal with NBC. All agreed that they could leverage this deal for a competing talk show on NBC. Kelly was unsure if she even wanted to host a show but did say she was against taking over Ellen's show. Carson had been floating the idea of a show to her for some time prior. Over the next week there was a lot of back and forth about the likely offer from The Ellen Show and using it for NBC. Kelly and B discussed the opportunity and she finally agreed to pursue it despite her being hesitant in moving the family to LA. Kelly was also concerned she'd be removed from The Voice, the financial security for the family, if she also had the talk show obligation. On May 2nd a formal offer was made that all of team Kelly deemed to be low. Eaton had another client that had recently received a higher offer for an equivalent position with the same production company. B and Telegdy began discussions about a talk show on NBC and were told about The Ellen Show offer. B, Telegdy, and Straus continued talking throughout the day, they assured that Kelly wouldn't lose The Voice gig if a show came to fruition and discussed a financial package for her to move to LA. More agents were brought in after that to discuss the differences in the syndication world vs The Voice. On May 8th, Kelly, B, and Telegedy met in person to discuss the show. On May 18th, a formal offer was made by NBC that guaranteed Kelly a right to be a coach on The Voice for economic stability and the talk show to take place in LA. After a lot of back and forth between lawyers, the deal was finalized at the end of June. And the rest is history.
  2. InTouch and OK are owned by the same publishing company and run the same stories. As are Life & Style, Star, US Weekly, and RadarOnline. Once upon a time RO was close to a TMZ rival but in its current form, they literally equal National Enquirer. Stuff that's pushed to their website many times run word for word that week in the Nat'l Enquirer. Occasionally one of them will run something that has a sentence that might be true but they're all rags and should be viewed as such. And Blake & Gwen should have about 15 kids together by now.
  3. And that's probably why they're on the show, they should have a new album out or close to coming out when this season airs.
  4. I'm really happy for the whole crew that they finally got to have another wrap party. Lots of goodbyes last night from 2 core people and their crews.
  5. They sold their big penthouses last year, but I think they have somewhere else in the city now. They've been going to NYC and staying quite a bit recently (and right now) so I don't think that's a reason to cross him off the list.
  6. May 15th is NBC's upfront presentation. IF the rumor of them moving production to NYC is true, I imagine they'll make that announcement then or in the days leading up to that and also reveal the panel then too.
  7. She's not touring . She's doing 10 shows this summer and that's it. They wanted her to tour and she told the "they" people no because she couldn't fit it in her schedule, especially with a big move happening this summer. She said she'd give them 10 shows and that what they're getting. And "huge" is overstating what the thing is going to be, imo.
  8. Kelly and Corey Ward will sing "Falling Slowly" next Thursday for the Kellyoke.
  9. Not really sure, I think just life happened. He's 10 years older than her and they didn't really grow up together. They seemed to reconnect a few years after she won AI and he worked for her for several years until about 2012 then they just kind of went their separate ways. They had all lived on her land with her in TX, then she sold that place to move to Nashville in 2012. Her mom and sister went back to NC and he stayed in TX and settled down and started a family. She mentions him here and there but nothing to indicate that they're all that close.
  10. Her brother still lives in TX but they aren't as close anymore. Her sister, who she's very close with, and her mother both live in North Carolina now. The news of them exploring the move back east really surprised me when I read it. I think there's a lot of positives for it, but I also think there's probably just as many negatives. I would think going to the NYC area would make certain things much more difficult, but I also know she really doesn't like LA and she's been dealing with 2 separate stalkers/trespassers at and around her home that are probably playing into this now too.
  11. The set designer posted in their ig story after the new coach announcement the other day that there would be a new set design too.
  12. S18 filmed a couple weeks after his announcement. They didn't announce Alicia for s14 until a couple days into filming, but Kelly had let it slip a couple times before that that not many people caught.
  13. I don't know about all that. lol But in another interview that was posted today she mentioned that one of the people that showed up to one of the stops is going to be on a recording on her upcoming album. She and her producer (Jason, also her md) both looked at each other when this person sang and had the same thought about a certain song and off they go, I guess. Sandy Redd also showed up that the Chicago stop. This could be related or have nothing to do with one another. Also imo, having listened to hundreds of Kelly interviews over the years, her answer to coming back to The Voice was pretty much a confirmation and she caught herself before she really confirmed it.
  14. I know who does her social media. I'm also implying that they are with her all the time and thus would also be busy today.
  15. Since no one new is posting, the likelihood that it's Kelly is going up higher and higher, imo. Her social media team can be a bit slow (to put it mildly) at times. The CEO of Ford posted a picture on set with Kelly and Jay Leno a bit ago so she could be kind of busy this morning or afternoon wherever you are.
  16. It's a possibility, based on recent comments she's been making. I don't think she'll be gone, but it's not out of the question.
  17. Jordan Smith is representing Kentucky on the American Song Contest https://people.com/music/artists-competing-in-american-song-contest/
  18. That's just Idol and the second they'd ask Kelly to "judge", she'd be gone. That's one of the main things she said always made her prefer this format over Idol was that she wasn't judging anybody, but instead being a coach and a cheerleader when needed.
