Didn´t they both recieved mixed reviews from sources? I think they said that Marisa started badly and that Tanner made the song sound like bro country.

For the record, I indeed didn´t enjoy either that much. Marisa had a huge range but her arrangement didn´t work for me, and while Tanner wasn´t bro country bad, he pretty much did a Tim McGraw impersonation.

Let's just say my expectations were low and I found these performances buried underground ;)

  2. Just focusing on the pandemic seasons:

    Surprised:

    Samuel Harness' blind and KO

    BrittneyBree's blind and battle

    David Vogel's entire run

    Hailey Green's blind

Rachel Mac's battle and KO (I thought she shouldn't have been a chair turner in the first place...)

    Savanna Woods' entire run

    Savanna Chestnut's blind

    Ryleigh Modig vs. Gean Garcia

Zania Alake's entire pre-live run (Dangerous Woman would be below if it weren't live...)

    Pia Renee's KO

    Sid Kingsley's entire run

    Kelsie Watts' blind

    Payge Turner vs. Lauren Frihauf

    Marisa Corvo vs. Ryan Gallagher

    Madeline Consoer's KO

    Disappointed:

    [insert Ryleigh Plank's entire run]

    Zae Romeo's blind and battle

    Anna Grace's blind and battle

    Pia Renee vs. Christine Cain

    Julia Cooper's blind

    Tamara Jade vs. Olivia Reyes

    Kelsie Watts' KO

Tanner Gomes & Marisa Corvo's KOs

I think it was corrected that David actually closed the first taping, if I'm correct.

The spoilers per taping are not in order though, so we can't really know, but I imagine GNT were one of the first ones, and they were chosen to open the season either way.

Yeah, had to make that correction. I misunderstood the source and he apparently closed the taping but that's from one person.

No specifics, but I kind of gather that GNT could've been first? Just based on the specific wording from the sources. It wasn't plainly stated that they opened or anything, I just think they might've been the first ones that each source listed. Don't take my word for it though...

From Wikipedia: The live performance show aired on Monday, April 16, 2012, followed by an elimination show aired Tuesday, April 17, 2012. In a surprise twist, for the next two weeks, for the first time, each coach must make an Instant Elimination, meaning that at the end of the show both coaches must eliminate an artist from their teams. The remaining three artist faces a public vote; the artist with the highest vote advances while the other two artists compete for the coaches' save during the Last Chance Performances. The first week feature Team Blake and Team Christina.

SO his was how Xtina got rid of the diva Jesse Campbell. She instantly eliminated him.

So much to say about him.

I mean first of all... the Wikipedia page that he clearly wrote for himself:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Campbell_(singer)

Jesse Campbell is an American / International Recording Artist Who sings heart-felt, Universal music with soul.....

In 2012, he became a contestant on season two of the American television program The Voice, where he auditioned singing Leon Russell's "A Song for You". All four judges (Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton) hit the "I Want You" button for him, within 25 seconds of the song. He chose to be part of the team of Christina Aguilera.

In the Battle round, he was put against Anthony Evans, another R&B/gospel singer. In a duet, they sang the Alicia Keys song "If I Ain't Got You", in what was described as the best contested match-up for the night, with Campbell carrying the day to move to the live rounds.

Christina Aguilera shocked the nation when she decided to eliminate Campbell during the live quarterfinals. Campbell's final words were "I lived a dream. How I relate to myself while in the process becomes the process, and I am grateful".

And I mean, he's a hell of a vocalist... but I remember watching his final performance as it aired and it felt super cringe:

After S12 finale Vanessa posted a Twitter thread about a contestant, calling him fake and with other members of the cast agreeing with her. We always assumed it was Chris.

Yeah, it was pretty heavily implied. She said something positive about nearly everyone in that top 10 (I believe) by name but left out Chris and Hunter. iirc though, she just left Hunter out of the conversation and was following him but wasn't following Chris and although all those tweets are deleted now I think, everything pointed to Chris.

  6. 90s Theme! 🙂

Girl Named Tom and Jim & Sasha Allen - Shape of My Heart (Sting)

Hailey Mia and Lana Scott - You Were Mine (The Chicks)

Jershika Maple and Wendy Moten - Vanishing (Mariah Carey)

Joshua Vacanti and Paris Winningham - Un-Break My Heart (Toni Braxton)

  7. My mom's gonna be CRUSHED when she gets home...

But really enjoyed Jeremy's run! A shame he didn't go even further because he's got one hell of a gift (and based on his background, he's an awesome guy!)

Hoping to see him crush it on the Christian charts or wherever his musical career takes him next. He's got this.
