  1. save Venom cut John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum
  2. Bolt I truly give zero f*cks about this movie, so hopefully cutting the main character will accelerate its demise in the rankdown. So, let's get to business: Bolt is a dog. In fact, he's a really cute dog. Props to Disney for making a nice-looking dog. That's about the positives I have lol. The movie is just ok, nothing really delivers something that's truly memorable. The only thing I really remember about this dog is that it's white, cute, and it thought it had superpowers lmao. At least something good came out of this bc this is when the Pixar influence started to come in on Disney films and the results in following movies, got better and better. But Bolt as a character or the movie as a whole? Nothing that screams memorable. Save: Mr. Centipede
  3. cut Bolt (Bolt) save Mr. Centipede (James and the Giant Peach)
  4. my knowledge of horror is really shallow so if anyone (esp. people on the horror rankdown) want to lend a hand Im all for that
  5. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug I love J. R. R. Tolkien's work. I was amazed that they did a solid job at translating The Lord of the Rings books to film. So you can imagine how my disappointment progressed stage by stage at everything related with what they did to The Hobbit. So I'm so glad I can get this out of here for my sanity. First, this feels very padded. And that's an issue all Hobbit movies have. You feel like you are watching stuff that should have been left on the editing floor. And with the movie being so close to the 3 hr mark, that's a very big mark against it. Smaug was okay? That's the only positive I have. Anyway, sad this fell off the rails, but it was expected the moment they turned a book into 3 movies lmao. Save: whoever that happened to sit next to this Hobbit movie
  6. save No Strings Attachedcut The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
  7. I have a few ideas on what my next move would be if that happens
  8. I don't know what to save so I think you nailed this one on the head @aliasocfan
  9. Don Carlton I love Monsters Inc., but the sequel was not it lol. So I can cut Don without any remorse. Anyway, highlights and bio bc don't have strong feelings on him. He's supposed to represent the "going back to college"/older student in the movie, and is a member of the Oozma Kappa frat. Also he's interested in going into Scaring, which ok good for you sweety (he does end up becoming an Scarer tho). He also likes Sheri Squibbles, who he gets engaged to. I honestly don't know what else to add, so if anyone likes Monsters Uni more than me, you can go off, bc this is all I have lmao. Save: Tweedledee & Tweedledum (something tells me I'm gonna spend a good amount of time saving Alice characters)
  10. save Tweedledee & Tweedledum cut Don Carlton
  11. Ace Young I think I have said a few times that I would rather not remember you as a contestant (which means nothing you did was interesting to me and went out at somewhat the right time, or they were abysmal and went out fast enough for me to delete them from my memory) than remember you for all the wrong reasons. Ace is firmly in the second category. He started well enough in the first semis; I don't care for his performance, but it was good enough and got him through to the next round. After that though? Terrible. And while there were several weeks where even being terrible wasn't the worst of the week (hi Kevin, hi Kellie) he was still abysmal. I don't know how you butcher Drops of Jupiter to that degree. S5 kinda saves itself by having a pretty spot on top 5 that crowned the worst of the 5 but anyway so at least he only robbed Mandisa. Anyway, bye! Karen Rodriquez That pic lmao. But I don't know her. Are we sure she was on Idol? Not surprising I don't remember her, I watched season 10 way after it aired, so I just went through the performances really fast, so just a few contestants actually stuck for me. Which mean that a 12th placer that did nothing cool or interesting is just quick fodder for my brain and I will forget her 10 seconds after her performance. Anyway, she had 3 performances, got voted through to the top 13, was b3 during top 13 week, and was finally booted during top 12 week. Hardly a memorable journey. At least she's gone now, doubt anyone will really miss her. Malaya Watson I remember her being forgettable for the most part (except for the HUGE glasses), and having an ABYSMAL and a pretty great Brunos Mars performances. Beyond that, nothing really stuck with me. So that Runaway Baby performance: Y I K E S. Was she trying to get herself eliminated? And on a week where she was supposed to represent herself lol (but she clearly had no idea who she was on the show bc her song choices don't make sense so......). At least we have Adanna's performance of that. But then she did a really nice job on When I Was Your Man weeks later, and that''s easily her best, so good job on that ig. Hardly a top tier contestant, but at least delivered something.
  12. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Never watched this film, so lol if my Elysium write-up was boring, this is gonna be boring and terrible. But that's the way these early cuts go. It's a 2010 drama movie, and a sequel to a 1987 movie, Wall Street (props on creating a sequel 23 years after, modern standards of barely one year could never). It stars Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan, Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon and Eli Wallach. The film is set during the 2008 financial crisis (wow, so revolutionary). Anyway, the more human core of the story centers on Gordon Gekko, who got released from prison in 2001 for insider trading, and his attempt to repair his relationship with his daughter Winnie, with the help of her fiancé (who is also involved on the finance world). Sounds ok, but eh don't care. Save: Hope Springs
  13. fiiiiiiiiiine, changing it cut Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps instead
  14. save Hope Springs cut Elysium
  15. Al McWhiggin It was either this or dumb, plot device twins from Tangled (who hopefully get cut anyway), so let's get to it. He is considered one of the main antagonists of Toy Story 2. But whenever I remember that movie, he doesn't show up. At all. The villain (if there has to be one) is Stinky Pete, and TS2 actually has its best moments when self doubt makes Woody do things that you don't necessarily agree with. Anyway, back to Al, he's rare toy collector. And that kinda drives and reflects all his traits tbh. He's looking to get money, not to play with the toys (which is probably meant as a point the movie tries to make but I'm not sure it's that successful in making). Not Pixar's best villain (not even in this movie), so he can leave. Save: Robert Callaghan
  16. save Robert Callaghan cut Al McWhiggin
  17. Josh Gracin Ace Young Kristy Lee Cook Megan Joy Karen Rodriguez Malaya Watson Madison VanDenburg @Zoey
  18. Over at last. Solid winner, and like most shows it has its ups and downs (and with highs like San Junipero and Hang the DJ it's easy to see why it's well liked). Congrats Steven and thank you for running the rankdown!
  19. Marahuté Oooof the early stage of this rankdown is gonna be loooong for me. Anyway, this is an eagle. A golden eagle, to be specific. She's very attached to Cody, and is shown as a very nice bird (as nice as birds can be ig??). The attachment to Cody comes from him freeing her from a trap (she later almost kill him by knocking him off a cliff, but eh mistakes happen all the time). She takes him on a ride, shows him his nest, all incredibly interesting stuff. She later gets freed and saves Cody's life again (the kid practically has an accidental career in base jumping in the movie). All fine stuff, but this is a movie I don't care for, and a character I don't care for, so out it goes. Save: eels
  20. save Flotsam and Jetsam cut Marahuté
  21. X-Men: Dark Phoenix At this point they should stop trying to adapt this storyline to film lmao. I like the idea of the X-Men (at its best it can tap into a very primal us vs them debate and the role evolution has on the future of humanity) but they the movies tend to be very hit or miss; and when they miss, they don’t just miss the target, they shoot themselves in the face. Evidence of this is X-Men 3 and this piece of sh!t. The worst part is that you have a good ensemble of actors that look like morons for taking part in this. Anyway, it will have a reboot at some point (bc superhero movies lol) but hopefully this gets forgotten by everyone. Save: whoever i said it was
