  1. I have been losing interest in The Voice (for a number of reasons), but just when I think I'm completely done Thunderstorm shows up and makes it all worth it.
  2. Thank goodness, we will get to hear a real song. I'm listening tonight, but The Voice has pretty much lost me with the emphasis on c----y pop music & mediocre singers. When you cut your teeth on Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Greatful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Aretha, Stevie Wonder, Linda Ronstadt, (plus lots of other incredible singers and songwriters that you young sprouts have never even heard of) it's just intolerable to listen to this new garbage. I know this should be in the Unpopular Opinions thread, but I just needed to vent here and now after that "performance."
  3. I was thinking that he couldn't do much with that song, but I was wrong.
  4. I'm surprised how much I liked Joei. She may remind me some of Grace Slick (of Jefferson Airplane). I have to listen to her other performances. Good choice, Blake.
  5. At some point YouTube clips of TV UK started popping up on my computer, so I started watching a few. It looks like they get a lot more entertainment from their coaches than we do in the USA. It appears that Tom Jones does these impromptu performances on a fairly regular basis:
  6. IMO Hello Sunday are diamonds in the rough. For me they were the most creative artists this season with their unique arrangements and interesting, beautiful harmonies. They are also both really strong singers individually and they both have very impressive ranges. They were hitting some really high notes on Chandelier. I've never been that crazy about that song, but I liked their arrangement. I think they have amazing potential. I wish they had made the finale, but I have a hunch they will go on to have a successful musical career and prove the naysayers wrong.
  7. On the schedule for tonight on the ustvgo.tv/nbc stream it says The Voice at 9:00 pm!!! :'(
  8. Ricky could totally be the lead guitar player and lead vocalist for an incredible band. He just needs some great original songs. Does anyone know if he writes any of his own music?
  9. Your wish came true! Wow! That was amazing blues guitar on one of my all time favorite blues songs. Maybe the younger set doesn't realize how much talent it takes to pull off these iconic blues classics from the old blues masters.
  10. I also feel this way about other people they have on a lot like that guy - what's his name? Oh wait. I think he's actually going to be a coach next season. Nick Jonas? Maybe I should have put this on the Unpopular Opinions thread.
  11. You beat me to it. That's exactly what I was going to say!
