Danielle will be featured on a track called “Dallas” from Parker McCollum’s new album, out July 30th.

Gabby Barrett for sure. I didn’t like her at all on Idol but I really like her post-Idol music and have enjoyed seeing her be so successful. It’s nice to see any of the Idols do well outside of the show, even if I’m not personally a fan.

There was another photo posted to her FB group that was most certainly a music video shoot. I’m guessing for Girls in My Hometown since that’s her only other officially released song from the new album.

I find it interesting that on her last album she was very adamant about writing her own material but for this album it seems like the majority of songs she's cutting are from outside writers. Obviously whatever the better song is, whether she wrote it or not, is what should go on the album, but I just think it's interesting. I think every song she has previewed thus far aside from NHIE has been written by other writers. I know she has said during the pandemic she has struggled to stay motivated and inspired, perhaps she struggled to find something to write about since there's nothing going on. Even NHIE was technically written before she actually met her current boyfriend.

I don’t watch The Voice but as an Ariana fan, this is a really good gig for her. I don’t think it’ll make me want to watch the show, but I think a lot of her young fans will tune in and vote hard for her contestants. I think she can offer a lot of great advice not just on vocals but also creating an identity as an artist and especially advice for the young contestants since she started young.

Hmm. I don’t know, I think it’s fair to say Cassadee is the most successful if it’s being purely based on chart/sales success, awards, and social media followers. Cassadee has the most followers and was nominated for a Grammy. It also says her album reached #1 on the country chart.

I agree. It’s astounding that she is one of the most acclaimed songwriters of all time, yet she has never won SOTY. She’s also never won ROTY either, despite having several hits. I think someday she’ll get SOTY but I’m not sure if evermore will give her that. If she submits willow, yeah it’s a great song, but it wasn’t really a hit or anything. I don’t think the lyrics are as strong as cardigan was. By the way, she now joins the ranks of Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, and Frank Sinatra as having the most AOTY wins.

Honestly I got worried when Dua won Best Pop Album, I thought there’s no way Taylor could win AOTY without winning in her genre, but glad she got it!!! I would have liked to see her also get Best Pop Album and SOTY to make 13 Grammys, but at least she got AOTY. It’s so well deserved.

I swear on the Christmas livestream she did that her album would be coming out in the beginning of this year, she might have even said first quarter of 2021. Like girl it’s March, where is the album?

I really like the new song. I like both, but I do like the traditional country sound of “The Mess I’m In.” Seems like on this next album there maybe be a lot less songs written by her and more from outside writers.

Also wanted to say that I love how the album cover is similar to the original in terms of the pose, the flying hair, and stuff, but it’s still different enough to not just look like a copy of the original. She’s also looking the opposite way. I wasn’t sure how they were going to do the album covers, if they’d use an outtake from the original shoot or try to recreate the original photo, but doing it this way is nice.

So excited! Yeah I didn’t expect to have to wait almost 2 months for it, but that’s ok I guess. It gives time to build hype. I’m really excited to hear the 6 unreleased songs in particular. Anyone else think she might bring back the secret messages for the re-recordings but with different messages? Like “Love Story” could change from “Someday I’ll find this” to “I found it.”

It was leaked by Shazam that she’ll be dropping the re-recorded version of Love Story on Friday for Valentine’s Day, called “Taylor’s Version.” And apparently hashtags have been created on Twitter for #TaylorsVersion, #LoveStoryTaylorsVersion, and #FearlessTaylorsVersion. I’m thinking the announcement will be Love Story on Friday and re-recorded version of Fearless coming the following Friday.

It's currently #85 on the Latin chart on US iTunes. Selena Gomez put out a new single that also falls under the Latin category, so she will probably take the #1 spot, but hopefully NHIE will rise some more. It's good that it was released under the Latin category so it might have more of a chance to chart higher than one of the more competitive charts.

I feel like she is teasing a collaboration with that Latin musician she tweeted to. And she reposted several tweets on her IG asking her to sing something in Spanish. I feel like she might have collabed with this musician on a Spanish song, perhaps a cover of “Senorita” by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello since that was mentioned in one of the tweets she reposted.

In celebration of her birthday, she released a remix of willow and a jewelry collection. She’ll also be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel tomorrow night and doing an interview with Zane Lowe that will drop Tuesday.

Someone pointed out that of course of all albums for Taylor to make "sister records" of, it would be her 8th and 9th albums = '89 lol I thought that was funny.

I woke up early to listen to the album before work, so these are just my thoughts after one listen.The first time I listened to folklore I wasn't a super big fan and thought the album was too slow and boring, but after a few listens it started to grow on me and I really loved it. I kind of have that same problem with evermore, only a handful of the songs maybe really stood out to me and I think this album kind of pales in comparison to folklore (the sequels are never as good as the originals!). But I'm sure in time the songs will grow on me. These days it's very rare I listen to an album and immediately love it, no matter who the artist is (same thing happened with Ariana's last album).The ones that stood out to me on the first listen were:willowchampagne problems gold rushhappinessconey islandivy - really liked this one a lotlong story short marjorie - this was another one I really liked a lotevermore - I don't think it can compare to exile, Bon Iver's parts kind of ruined the song honestly, but otherwise it was really nice and a decent follow up to exileOverall I really need more listens to get into this album. I'm so used to the songs on folklore that for me these ones just don't really compare yet. I wonder if maybe she's going to turn this project into a trilogy. She said she doesn't know what will come next, but I kind of wonder if it'll end up as a trilogy because 2 just feels incomplete.Also, she should write with Joe more often. His contributions to both folklore and evermore are some of the best songs!One thing I kind of take issue with with this whole project is what timeline this is supposed to take place in, unless it's multiple time periods. She's using this pioneer 1800s aesthetic and the music is very folksy, but then some of the lyrics mention things like the Internet and '90s trends. It just doesn't make sense and kind of takes you out of the cottagecore vibe when she mentions things that wouldn't have existed in that time period. Kind of confusing, if you ask me. A couple additional thoughts:I liked the music video for willow, but the storyline was a tad confusing to try to follow on the first watch. Much like a lot of the songs on the first listen too. I did like how the storyline picked up where cardigan left off and she was following a golden string to find her soulmate, a reference to invisible string from the last album. I don't know if I like this video as much as cardigan, but I like that she is now directing her own videos.I'm probably going to wait to get a physical copy. The last time they made us believe physical editions would only be sold on her website, then put them in Target like 2 weeks later. I would rather not have to pay shipping costs. I also think they might release signed copies again, so maybe I'll wait for those.Oh, she also uploaded lyric videos for every song again. How does she have this kind of time? lol

I just finished watching her Christmas livestream. She sang a little bit of "Feliz Navidad," followed by "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "One Beer," and "Road Less Traveled." Then she did a Q&A with a few fans who won a Zoom call with her, I don't know if we were all supposed to be able to see that or not, but we did anyway lol She mentioned that she's almost done with her third album and it should be out sometime next year. She also discussed a little about how they filmed the video for What Do You Think Of?

The video is quite good! I'm not sure how I feel about the "ghost" effect they used, it looks a little weird, but I get what they were going for. I think it's very impressive how they were able to film this in a pandemic and make it look like they were together even though they were on opposite sides of the world! They also apparently used some kind of popup thing instead of a green screen, which I think helps make it look more realistic. I signed up to attend Lauren's Christmas livestream later this evening! With Lauren releasing a new music video, doing a livestream, and Taylor dropping a new album at midnight, there is just so much news going on today that I can't even process it! lol Also, can I just add how much it bugs me that she pronounces "February" like "FebUary"? It took me several listens to notice, but once I did, I can't unhear it now lol How did no one in the recording session pick up on that and tell her to do it again?

Anybody else think her acceptance speech at the AMAs where she was recording in the studio was an Easter egg for the evermore album cover? She did that strange thing where she began the video with her back turned (wearing her hair in the braid) and then spun around to begin her speech, which she has never done in any of her other pre-recorded segments. I feel like her standing with her back turned with her hair in a braid was a possible Easter egg for evermore haha SHE GAVE SO MANY SIGNS

Haha I know, can’t believe she’s release yet ANOTHER album already! I knew she’d probably do something special for her birthday though, especially because of the 31/13 thing. And yesterday she tweeted 9 Christmas emojis, some jokingly suspected she was teasing TS9 already but with Taylor you can never be too sure I guess lol I feel like it could be a “happy” version of folklore based on the song titles and color photos instead of black and white. Also the screen grab from willow shows her wearing a pretty gown with a crown in her hair and better lighting whereas cardigan was dark lighting and she was wearing an old, plain gown.

I saw a post in her FB group I think that her show on Friday has been canceled. Someone in the group also asked when an album is coming and she wrote something like “Working on it! I promise!” I don’t think realistically we’ll see an album from her until maybe summer or next fall. But hopefully they’ll release more singles in the meantime.
