It looks like most everyone stopped and watched when that presentation happened on Times Square. It happened the week after Thanksgiving.

Nope. I don't even think Huntley could win in those seasons.

S22 ratings (last year)

Looks like S24 demo is down 28% (from 0.7 to 0.5). Finale audience is down only 300k (about 4%) but that's because S24 gained in both audience and demo in the last two weeks (semis and finals). If you compare the S22 T10 QF vs S24 T12 QF, S24 is down about 10%. 

The ratings have been really low for years now so I didn't expect it to lose much more but a few 100k in audience and 0.1 to 0.2 in demo, regardless of who are in the red chairs. 10 years ago, the S4 ratings (I think it's the peak) were around 5.0 in the demo and 12-15mil total viewers. 

This season, the ratings went up at the start of each round, then the next week it's down again. The live rounds are the big gainers. Maybe they should cut down on the pre-lives episodes and add more live episodes to increase the viewers and demo ratings. And I hope they bring back live playoffs.

Next season, I expect The Voice to lose to American Idol in ratings - for both demo and viewers - once Idol goes live.

The one who closed the show won. The performer before last in 2nd, 3rd performer finished 3rd. Just missed the 4th/5th placement.
